I had a lot of issues with my first collar that arrived before. I left a previous review then. Since then however, I have been sent a new collar due to the issues and this one (fingers crossed) has been working as it should. The staff were very helpful which pushes this to 4 stars.
I was able to set up okay
I was able to set up okay, and help usually hot back to me in a couple of hours. If you have Wi-Fi set up it can think it is at home when just outside the house, but otherwise it does go what it says it will.
Happily Now Own Two PAWTRACK Cat Collars
I hadn't thought about getting a GPS collar for my cat, as I didn't know they existed until a friend recommended Pawtrack. Now I have two, one for each cat. It took me a bit to figure out the first one initially, but I have techphobia and hate setting up anything. It's actually not that tricky, I could even do it. I don't worry about my animals like I used to, which is a great relief. I can see what they are up to, which is quite fun.

Refused cancellation despite cat dying
Despite telling them that my cat got hit by a car and died, they ignored the request for cancellation and renewed 11 months later without warning. When I approached them about this they played the ignorant card and demanded to see the email trail proof. Once i sent that, they went silent and I now having to go through trading standards and my back to get a refund. This company hate animals and customers.
Potentially excellent product with owners who just don't seem to care
Look. The hardware of this product is actually very good. It's a great design. But, the app is difficult to connect with the hardware. The instructions are outdated. The customer support section of their website hasn't worked for several years (a big red flag) And the website is a mess, with different logins required to access different things depending on what you are trying to achieve. I couldn't even reset my password because the reset emails never arrived. I tried to set up a new account to track the device that I had purchased for a friend. But every email address I used was already registered when it actually wasn't. The customer service alternates between immediate feedback which is quite good and having to wait 2 weeks for an answer depending on who you get.
To top it all off I gave them a lot of feedback on how they could make some simple changes to improve the customer's experience of their product (as I do this for a job) and they didn't seem at all interested.
Until this outfit starts listening to its customers they are basically wasting the potential of what could be a very good product by failing to fix simple errors in their instructions, their app, and the various websites linked to it and annoying people who purchase the product to just to find out there are too many bugs and issues to make it usable.
To their credit, I did get a full refund of the product and subscription when I returned it to them.
DOESN'T WORK - NO REFUNDS
This Tracker doesn't do anything they claim. They do not honor the 14 day return policy or the 1 year warranty. The Staff are not helpful in solving problems. They still charged me for a 2023 subscription even after it was canceled.
Not fit for purpose
Not fit for purpose, batteries, when fully charged, last for less than 2 hours. Emailed the company over a week ago for a refund, no response so far. If only I’d read reviews beforehand, I’d never have purchased! I’ve given the date of purchase as 28 October, that was when it was received, it was ordered way earlier!
Breaching consumer law
Absolutely dreadful product & lack of customer service. I tried to return the product in 2021 within the 14 days cooling off period as it was not fit for purpose and requested the subscription was cancelled by email. A year later another unauthorised payment is taken and no response to email requesting refund. They are totally the wrong side of consumer law - will pursue through small claims if necessary as a matter of principle. Avoid at all costs.
Absolutely disgusted
Absolutely disgusted. Where were all of these negative reviews when I purchased in August?! Thought I did my due diligence! Spent almost $500 on two cats. Had to request replacements as one arrived faulty, and even the replacement failed to operate as they said. Locations were all over the shop - could not track my cats. Communication was prompt and seemed supportive until I returned the collars, from Australia, at my own expense and now they have gone silent, despite agreeing to completely refund!!
I will be taking this to the UK Trading Standards Office if I don't get a reply and see that money returned immediately, and I have completed a dispute form with my bank.
What an absolute rubbish, heartstring story on their website stating about how this started because they lost their loving cat. If you are genuine business owners Pawtrack, then you need to take responsibility for your faulty product and show some integrity in refunding your customers. And if you're scammers, then the consumer authorities will be knocking on your door shortly....
No existent customer service
My daughter bought a collar and sent it straight back (as it was too bulky) via recorded delivery. Pawtrack have had it over a week and still no sign of a refund. Customer service non existent emails seem to be going into an empty void. Next step trading standards.
Worst company ever!!
Bought a collar and decided I didn’t want it after ordering, customer service told me to refuse to sign for it and send it back and they would refund me. Sent the collar back over a week ago and customer service have magically disappeared, no refund in sight. Avoid the company at all costs and save your money.
The worst service ever
The worst service ever! They didn'send me my pawtrack ever! I came from Croatia, and they send it to Sweden first, and then to Hungary! I made an order in august, now it is almost november, and still didn't get anything! Probably never will! I want my money back, but I didn't get this also!
Terrible company - AVOID
Terrible company, the product is useless and they continue to take your subscriptions even though you have requested cancellation and binned the product.
I never got the product to successfully work despite spending hours emailing Pawtrack back and forth, in the end I gave up and and requested they cancel my subscription and the tracker was put in the bin. They have just recently charged my credit for another years subscription. Despite all the emails sent last year and my device never having reported a successful location ! These people are just after your money, AVOID, AVOID AVOID.
Do not engage with this product
Non-existant customer service. No response to emails. Terrible software, almost impossible to use. Disinterested management/staff. I am frustrated and disillusioned
This collar after 8 months has not…
This collar after 8 months has not worked properly. When it has on the odd occasion its about 109 metres inaccurate. I'm over it and wouldn't trust it
Rip off
Rip off. Got the collar 8 months ago. Strap broke immediately when I opened it. Returned to them and asked for money back. They have not refunded and are ignoring my emails.
Terrible Customer Service
Despite having returned the collar straight away back in 2020, Pawtrack continue to take renewals - so far they have taken two amounts of £59.99 - once in 2021 and again recently in 2022. I have emailed four times and am getting no response.
Dreadful first one worked for few days…
Dreadful first one worked for few days and i had to ask for a replacement, it didnt work and the next and the next. I had four collars. I had to email them three times to ask them to cancel the direct debit as the cat in question had been run over. They intialy refused to cancel it until the collar had been returned which I thought was mad as i had bought it. When i got upset and told them they were causing me distress they eventually canceled the direct debate. They have so far ignored my repeated request for refund as none of the collars have worked.
