Keep in mind that specialty items require additional work

I loooove the classic candy that reminds me of being a kid! Growing up we would go to the local convenience store with change and pick out penny candy to go in a brown paper bag, when we visited our grandparents we always went to the same candy store nearby. It brings us a lot of joy and is special for me and my sister, so when I ordered the wrong item for her collection I was devastated. The website didn’t show they had the right one in stock so I thought I would have to suck it up and lose out. However after speaking with the customer service, who responded right away, they were willing to order directly the item that I needed! I’m so excited to get to surprise my sister with the last cow tale cup she needs! I’ve noticed that there seems to be a lot of complaints about shipping time but we live in an age of Amazon and expect things within a day or two. This company is clearly a wholesaler and orders from manufacturers before shipping out, so I can understand the longer wait times for smaller orders, especially of single items. I’m happy to wait because we have a candy store in town that specializes in these older candies or niche products and they charge so much it’s just unreasonable. I love the huge selection, I was able to find quite a few things that I can’t find wait to share with my son and co-workers as well. Candy will always bring me back to the simple pleasure of being a kid.

Worst company ever disgusting

I purchased freedent gum from this company Rare Candy Canada. They took my money and did not give me any product. I even requested a refund and all they offered was a store credit I suggest that no one purchase from this company. This company is not respectful of their customers and they will not provide you the candy/gum that you’re looking for nor make things right. I’m currently in a battle with my credit card company to get my money refunded since the company will not refund me my money. I’m a very dissatisfied customer please do not do business with them.

Woww! Really nice selection!

So, i ordered 2 weeks ago~ we are not used to wait so long before items are shipped so fast by amazon so im beeing patient, i did contact them because i didint see the shipping time on their website and they respond so im happy with this, i can't wait to have this order, the choices on that website is AMAZING ive never seen something like that and has a business owner, we need those positive feedback because i know how hard it is to be on time and do everything we can, beeing overwhelmed by customer's that can't understand that things take time if you want the best.

So again, take your time but still, im craving this order hahaha thank you 🥰

They admittedly made a substitution…

They admittedly made a substitution without notice and now they won’t answer back to my refund request. The product is available on the website but they almost doubled the price since my order. It would be common sense and basic customer service to send the right items.
I feel totally robbed…

No, 3 bags of Albanese Wold's best Ultimate 8 flavor Gummy bears 25 onces, are not the same as the 2 56 ones bags of regular 12 favors ones 56 onces you sent me.

You had both in stock and I sent you pictures.

As experts in rare candies, it is pretty upsetting that your pretend to not see the difference.

I can also see you changed the descriptions and pictures since my review, so I'm glad I kept screeshots with dates.

The delivery was promised to take 14…

The delivery was promised to take 14 days on the website. Had I known it would be this slow, I wouldn't have placed the order. However, the package arrived 20 days later. No responses to inquiries about the delivery. Finally, the items received were mostly less than 6 months from expiration, and the packaging was a mess. Never ordering again. It's been the worst experience.

they do have alot of stuff that we wanted to try so we did wait some time to see how it would come. we had a normal experience, all items were packed well and fresh. my only complaint would be if it could be a bit faster.

Go anywhere else with your money

They messed up half my order, refused to refund or replace the qrong items and blocked me on social media because i started commenting on their posts as a buyer beware. Go anywhere else with your money. These people have no concept of what makes up a positive customer experience. They have been bombarded with 1 star reviews for a reason

INEDIBLE CANDY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Buyer beware! My mother bought me the sour candy from this place and had nothing but misery from the time she placed the order and after the order arrived. There were a total of three pieces of candy sent that tasted so old and were completely stuck together. I'd definitely read the reviews before buying anything from Rare Candy Canada. That is where we went wrong. These people should not be doing business with anyone.

Run Away Like Your Life Depends On It

Ordered November, never got half my items, then was given a store credit for only half the missing items (roughly $60.00 missing). Claimed some of the items were discontinued and then simply never gave the money back in any form. Wrote about 10 e-mails and never received a reply, so I'm assuming it's lost money at this point. I'm not using my real name because I see how they dox individuals who speak up. All I can say is run for your life unless you want to be scammed. Someone needs to report these fraudsters to the authorities. (I just received an e-mail wanting all my personal information or else my review will be taken down. I am not giving it because I've seen how they maliciously go after people and I'm personally afraid of these people. If they didn't have the decency to contact me after all this time, and now only want to "rectify" the situation after I've left a poor review, that just doesn't sit well with me. I will gladly share certain images of e-mails and items ordered but I am not giving my personal info to be weaponized by this company.)

Would give zero stars if I could. Very clearly a scam. I reported to the BBB. Don’t buy from here. Ordered something December 1st. Three weeks later it hadn’t shipped and I emailed asking what the deal was. They said it shipped and I should have received it and offered to send it back if it was returned to them. I never got anything. I asked who shipped it and they claimed Canada post but I’ve never had an issue with Canada Post before them. I asked for a tracking number so I could follow up with Canada Post and they never responded. It’s clear they never sent it as this is a scam company. Do not buy from them.

RUN,RUN,RUN, Do Not buy anything From Them

Tried to purchase items on Dec 3/23 for Christmas Gifts and Did not receive a receipt by email, They just took the money and left you wondering if you were going to get your items. Contacted them after 3 weeks and they said they were going to ship them when they had time. Had to get Visa involved and got my money back, after 4 weeks of waiting. Should have read the reviews first, Run do not buy from them, it is stress you do not need at that time of year. Your reply is a bunch of KaKa as you did not even attempt to ship the so called "stock" for 4 weeks, that is why after 3 weeks I contacted VISA to get my money back just like anyone else would do. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY

You did not wait for us to ship the order.

You submitted a chargeback.

We did not send the product because of the chargeback.

We did send you the invoice to your email, you probably missed it.... its a automated system after you order the invoice is sent, unless the email was wrong.

We didn't take any money, as you did a chargeback .

We said we were going to ship it, but did not once we noticed you did a chargeback.

We have sold lots of these Albanese Gummy Candies, im sorry your experience was not good. Its the busiest time of the year during Christmas, and it was hard to handle packing so many orders!

Ridiculous shipping time

Absolutely inexcusable for what they charge in shipping to not ship a purchased product until 12 days later. Avoid this business and just find a store, this business is not reliable for decent time for shipping.

Update: If you are going to boast about PREMIUM Delivery Experience Shipping then DON'T WAIT over 10 days to ship! Common sense, no? What's the point then?

Please tell me what store has over 3562 + products. Most stores only have about 400 products. We are giving Canadians More options, more choices, and at a lower price.

Our shipping times are on every product page, on the bottom of the website, on the home page, on the faqs, and on the shipping policy. After you order, we also email you this information . We are 100% transparent about this.

We do not make any money on shipping. We only use Premium Carriers, like UPS, FEDEX, Purolator, Canpar, Etc . The cost of shipping In Canada is very expensive.

It is the busiest time of the year , there is many orders to pack and ship carefully.

Disappointing Custome Support Experience

Well ofcourse mistakes happen.

The problem is that you are making me pay for your mistake and then bounding me to purchase from you again by giving a giftcard instead of refunding me the amount.

I had ordered different flavours of Mr Beast feastables and two of them didn't arrive.
The rest arrived within the timeframe mentioned on their website and in with proper packaging.
I enquired regarding the two and i was informed that the product has been discontinued and they had given a gift card instead. I requested a refund instead since i wont be buying anymore, they sent me the refund policy link instead and said they cant do anything.
It is so hard for them to understand they are making products available on their website that's not even made anymore. These shouldn't be available to be bought in the first place.
However they make you pay for a discontinued item and then bound you to use the giftcard instead of a refund. This is a shady practice.

We recently had a mispricing on a product, but it was important for that customers health, and we did not send an invoice for the increased price, but went through with the sales.

Should Have Read the Reviews First

Ok so I was super hopeful when the order arrived (yes it was a long wait but that was stated on their website) but was a bit surprised when I opened the box and it was so different I wasn’t even sure it was mine. I reached out for clarification and the first response was ‘oh my goodness I will reach out to the warehouse immediately’ and then after more than a week I followed and the response was ‘we made subs, that’s our policy’. Ok… that’s fine if that’s policy, all good but perhaps a packing slip to break it down or explain would be helpful. I had been sent a credit for one missing item but was missing more than one thing and was told they just gave a wrong, higher weight item. Upon comparing the website I’m not only missing items but I’m also out more money because the higher weight items don’t account for 2 of my other items. Ultimately the lack of transparency is concerning here…. I tried to go back and price out my original order against the website but items they sent aren’t listed to look at pricing. I’m a very understanding shopper and if they would have just been like ‘hey here is what we substituted for what, hope that’s cool’ I wouldn’t be writing this… but the unhelpful and rude tone of customer service has me needing to put this out here.

PO BOX Addresses are extremely expensive to ship to. We tried our best, and we did not send any extra invoice for excess shipping fees to a PO BOX. We are now regretting this , we tried to be nice...

You did not even give us a chance to reply to your latest email, and you are bashing us online... I dont understand why some people are so vengeful ... what ever happened to kindness and compassion In Canada .

If you ordered from any other Candy Store, they would have sent you a $40 invoice for shipping to your po box.

The reason for my order is my wife wanted Cherry Pop tarts - which are not available locally, I order a multi pack - they provided strawberry, so a bit disappointed on that. BUT they did include another impossible to find flavor(Chocolate Sundae), so its not like they just sent fillers. Is it perfect - no, but I'm still happy. Just set your expectations lower. Ordered Dec 3 arrived Dec 21 - so still in time for Christmas!

*SCAM ALERT* Do NOT order from Rare Candy Canada. They took my money, took more than a month to ship my order, and after waiting for so long, didn't even deliver all the products I ordered. They told me it was because it is discontinued and will no give me my money back for products I never received. They tried to offer store credit but (1) after such a poor experience, I do not want to order from them again and (2) I purchased a product from their website, not a gift card. If you cannot deliver the product, return the money. Disappointing business practice from a Canadian company. Don't make the same mistake I did, GOOGLE REVIEWS BEFORE ORDERING!!!

ETA: In response to the company's reply, stating facts is not defaming your brand. You want better reviews? Have honest business practices. To address your points:

1. I did NOT purchase a gift card. I purchased an item advertised on your website as being in stock. As such, if you do not have the product, I expect my money back and not a store credit. I do not want anything else from your store except the products you advertised and I purchased.

2. INCORRECT. I purchased 7 bard, received 4 - 2 of which were broken. You SHOULD give your customers a free upgrade in shipping since it took about a month to receive. I ordered on Nov. 10th and did not receive the deliver until Dec. 12th. It was not shipped out by your team until Dec. 6th. It was indeed bubble wrapped and if you claim that prevented it from breaking, then I would surmise that the bars were broken prior to shipping. There definitely wasn't any "free gift". However, the broken bars is not the main issue. I would have never complained if I received ALL SEVEN of the bars I ordered OR received a credit on my credit card for the ones that did not arrive.

3. REFUNDS. I have nothing to return and get a refund for because I NEVER received the product. You failed to fulfil your end of the arrangement. I bought 7 bars and only received 4. I cannot return the 3 bars I never received for a refund because I would be returning air. In both of your examples, an actual exchange occurred. You paid, a product was received and returned because the product was not satisfactory to the purchaser. I repeat - I NEVER received a product. So, did you scam me be advertising products on your website for purchase (which I did) and not deliver the products to me and not rerun my money? Absolutely! I am out cash and you are out nothing AND have my money. Now, you are forcing me to purchase something from your company that I never wanted to begin with because you are offering me store credit instead of my money back. In your examples, you can choose to keep the product you purchased if you do not want store credit (regardless if you're unhappy with them) and still have receive something for what you paid. I have nothing I can "keep" if I do not want your store credit. From my perspective, it was false advertising. You sold me something that did not exist and kept my money - that is a scam.

If you are a legit business with good business practices, why does a search of your company come back with terrible reviews? Just on this site alone, your company has a 1.7 stars with a TON of 1 star reviews - there is a fact for you!

2. All Of the 5 Mr Beast Bars we sent to you were FRESH, Did not arrive Broken, packaged safely, and we gave you a FREE Upgrade to express shipping, when you only choose the Bronze Shipping Option. The Bars were carefully wrapped with bubble wrap, you probably also got a Free Gift of a candy cane, or a small mint....

It is Up to the Business to set its policy for refunds, You can even look on Winners website, when they give refunds, they will only give a store credit, based on your opinion , you are saying Winners a clothing store is a scam, and thousands of other business that have this policy. I ordered from DoorDash recently, and the driver tilted the pizza box and all the toppings feel off. They gave me credits on DoorDash, and did not give an option of refund to original payment method. So you are saying Doordash is a scam too ?

People are abusing the word scam, when people lose their homes, bank accounts, and worse to actual frauds and scams. Just because you are unhappy with your experience does not mean otherwise.

We are a Legitimate business with a Majority of happy customers, we cannot make everyone happy

Your expectations, are your own fault. you should read a businesses terms, and conditions and policies before ordering.

We dont order from your business, or place of workplace and then complain after because our expectations. A policy is a policy.

2. Your Original email never mentioned any quality issues, please send us an email of the broken bars are we are happy to rectify the situation, we have insurance on every order for that reason .

3. We disagree with your perspective and it is incorrect, and its an just an opinion . The Store credit was sent to you, and you are free to use it whenever you wish, it never expires.

You are making it seem like its thousands of dollars, its $16.90, Please go to a local mall in your area, and you will see shops are selling 1 feastables bar for $14.99, we saved you over 50% per bar, I dont know what else you want if thats not good value, We are unable to meet your very high expectations.

You can see hundreds of positive reviews on our website.

It is a Fact that people pay attention to Negativity, much more then positivity . Its the reason why people love the news so much. People are drawn to negativity, and its sad, but we will continue to make the MAJORITY of our customers happy. We cant make everyone happy, its impossible!

Rip off

Rip off. They didn’t send items as per my order and instead substituted for cheaper items I didn’t even want. I would be cautious when ordering from them. I will be disputing with visa to get my money back I don’t want a store credit. If you don’t have the item in stock remove from the site. FRAUD!

Update: Rare Candy passive aggressive reply shows proof of shady business practices. It was not just an item was not sent by human error. There is intent on your site to mislead clients. Several negative reviews say the same thing and judging by the reply they provide it is clear they have no interest in doing proper business. A refund was never offered and store credit for what? items you don’t have in stock? Send me a refund or I’ll be disputing with visa.

Shame on you for not replying to my email and ignoring me and only replying in a public forum.

Further update: keep up providing ammo for me to dispute my claim with my credit card. No problem fraudsters! I won’t be checking back to your paid five star reviews you are a joke and fraud. We sell exotic rare snacks. Premium Imported items. We have over 3500 products, and mistakes can happen. Im sorry you feel that way, but we are a legitimate business with many happy customers . We are Sorry about the sour patch kids being unavailable and 1 Chip . The other 15 items were correct, fresh, and packed safely. Items can be unavailable for several reasons , Expiration of products , Damage, Shrinkage, Human errors in inventory and the catalog. Our policy is a refund to A Store Credit. We hope to win your heart one more time .

You cannot pay to get reviews on trustpilot, all reviews are verified with Order #'s and proof of orders. Not to mention that is not ethical.

We disagree with your statements, and hope you come back soon! We never said we are like any of those companies, but you can see for yourself that trustpilot is mostly a negative place for reviews, people dont really leave that many positive reviews so it seems like things are worse then they actually are.

I suggest reading our policy again and mentioning the facts to your credit card company, as they will agree with us.

Giving it a chance

At this time, I'm basing my review strictly on the website experience and selection.
I placed a pretty large order before reading the reviews, but so far I think this is a cool concept and I really like the selection of unique items and the overall website experience itself is pretty good.
I'm choosing to stay optimistic that I'll receive the product in good shape in time for Christmas, but could be editing this rating up or down based on how things go from here. I have requested an update on shipping timeframe through their support email but haven't yet got a reply - I'm not super concerned about that yet and chalking that up to Christmas chaos.
Edit: everything arrived in good shape and lots of cool stuff in the mystery box. Good experience and will use again if I’m looking for unique snacks!
