The sound proofing is fine but sloppy job in the Velcro tape to seal up the windows. They are couple of inches off in each side. In order for it to do its job, they need to stick.

The price was extremely expensive, but because I needed the sleep I was willing to pay the extra cost. I did research on other curtains and products and learned that mass loaded vinyl was a product used in soundproofing. So after sound proofing all my walls with new soundproof insulation and soundproof drywall, we ordered the curtains. The order took three weeks. Again, I was able to be patient because I was anxious to sleep again. When they arrived, they looked nothing like the picture on the website. I expected them to be thicker. They were just a piece of mass loaded vinyl (or some type of thin material no guarantee from the company exactly what they use in their curtains). My husband and I installed the curtains according to the directions. I went to bed for my long awaited sleep only to be awoken by a barking dog. Their curtains blocked out zero noise. I heard the neighbors starting their cars, running lawn mowers and barking dogs. I had hoped they would at least muffle the noise, but not even a bit. Then when my husband and I tried to roll them up, all the adhesive on the back of the velcro strips, pulled the paint from the walls. It's a mess.

So I called the company at different times but only got a voicemail. So I emailed them. They respond very quickly to email. However, instead of understanding my situation they tried to blame it on me that the curtains didn't work. Two different people told me that my walls were old and my paint was old because that has never happened to anyone else. When I explained that we had just remodeled and that everything was new, they said the best they could do was a 20% rebate but they could not take the curtains back. I suppose that's better than nothing, but if this should happen again with other customers, I think it would be best for everyone if they had a new policy where they would take back the used items as long as they were in good condition at possibly an 80% rebate and resell them at reduced rate for others. That's a win-win situation to me. But they didn't favor that idea.

I live near a busy highway, and my neighbors have dogs that bark all night. Thanks to the curtain I purchased, I no longer notice. This product does not 100% block noise, but if muffles the sound, a lot, so much that you do not notice it like you would have before. I am going to buy more for other rooms in the house. It is made with care, expert stitching, very dense and heavy, took five minutes to install. In addition, the measurements I sent in were on the money! Customer service is excellent as well. I fine product, and excellent staff on hand to help. Getting a good night's sleep is critical to one's overall well-being, this product, honestly, helps me sleep better!

I purchased the curtain to quiet down my home office. I researched quite a bit and I ended up purchasing the sound curtain. When the kids are loud and scream my calls with my clients do not become embarrassing... For the price, it was the best way to make my home office more quiet.

No complaints about the customer service or timeliness of the order. I found the curtain prepared with apparently good quality materials, but the design and implementation left much to be desired.

I ordered an acoustidoor to provide sound protection in an arched doorway between a hallway and another room. This door needs to be used reasonably frequently, so I anticipated rolling the curtain up and down with the straps to accommodate the traffic. However, the straps on the curtain are sewn down to about 6 ft from the floor. So when the curtain is rolled up, it only leaves about a 5 ft clearance below the rolled up curtain, which means if you're not paying attention and duck it will smack you in the face . . . or worse knock you completely down. It sounds silly, but the black curtain blends in very well when the lights are off. I don't understand why something that is intended to be used in a doorway was constructed with such an obvious oversight!

This problem led us to simply lift the side of the curtain to walk under it as needed, but that only worked for about a week before the repeated stress of pulling on the outermost hook with the heavy curtain eventually popped the screw anchors right out of the drywall. So much for that, and now we're on to plan C (a ceiling track to allow us to slide the curtain to the side when not needed), which I'm not very happy about because it will be much more expensive and difficult to install. I consulted with customer service about this plan C idea prior to purchasing the curtain, but they basically said "give it a try and let us know how it goes". They really don't have much experience in this area. They also did not tell me that their strap roll-up system would be completely useless.

Secondly, the velcro sewn around the edges to provide a good seal with the wall is a good idea, but again, not well thought out. This is for a doorway, yet white velcro was also added to the bottom of the black curtain. So now my nice black curtain that blends in nicely has a nice white stripe along the bottom that serves absolutely no purpose. Doors by definition do not have framing on the bottom, and there is absolutely no reason for this velcro to be there, except for the obvious fact that this company is selling one and only one product (for windows) in spite of marketing and selling the acoustidoors and acousticurtains as if they are in some way different.

The edges of the curtain are not perfectly straight, which presented some challenges when measuring where to place the hooks on the wall. From grommet to grommet the height from the floor varies by about 1/2 inch. Even knowing this ahead of time and compensating, I was still unable to hang the curtain without it dragging on the carpet beneath. And the weight of the curtain causes it to stretch a little bit after hanging, which increases the problem.

The website claims that they will deliver their product with 5-10 business days. After waiting 10 business days I emailed the company which has no direct phone number for customers to call, I was told that they are a small company and that my order will be shipped the following Monday or Friday. Well the following Monday and Friday came and went and no product. After 15 business days, now over 3 weeks, I was told that they are having problems with the factory that makes the product. I demanded a refund and was told that they would have to talk to their company manager for me to get a refund. Three days later after waiting for my refund, I was told that I could not get a refund because the curtains were being shipped. When I received the curtains it was obvious that they were made in a rush. Immediately after I removed the curtains from their package the middle 2 brass grommets on both curtains popped off. I can not recommend the company and their product based on my experience.

Only after I asked for order status I was told you guys were busy. I wish I knew about the order status (look at Amazon, for example) a bit more frequently.
I was about to call my CC company for fraud and refund, but the on the same day the heavy package finally showed up.

I think the velcro holdings are bit too sparse. I wish there was more tape all around.

Also you guys gave me only 9 hooks, where I needed 10 total. I ended up with not-so-desirable small hook holding the last end of the curtain.

I can't tell how unique this curtain is. It seems like bunch of hung mass loaded vinyl covered with canvas cloth. Am I wrong?

I was skeptical at first but boy, what a difference. I live in a 1920s house with older windows that let a lot of sound through. This curtain completely transformed my living room -- it's like being in a solitary bubble. A bonus that I didn't expect is that the curtain has thermal properties as well; it's helped to keep my room cooler in the Florida heat (not to mention blocking a lot of light!).

It did take 2 weeks to receive my curtain, but it was totally worth it. The company was responsive to my emails too, which is nice.

The curtain is helpful in reducing outdoor noise as well as early morning light. It's heavy, but the hooks provided make mounting straightforward. Raising the curtain is more work than a conventional curtain, but the straps work well. I'm a satisfied customer.

Great service and great product. Very excited . Trust those who helped and everything they said was true. Will recommend to many other.

I live in a busy city and despite the great location, noise has always been an issue. From sirens to trains going by at 2am, I thought I'd never sleep through the night without having to move altogether. I found the AcoustiCurtain online and decided it was my last shot before looking for a new apartment. Needless to say I haven't slept better since the first night I hung it on my window. No sirens. The curtains work great and really do block the sound from the street. My house is right by a railroad and the trains used to keep me up but now I can sleep all night :)
