In light of so many other airlines having flight cancelations in and out of Amman in the Spring of 2026; I have chosen to use Royal Jordanian Airlines (RJ), as I know they will be the last to cancel a flight. Also, I have flown them enough to now have 'silver jay status' as a frequent flyer.

However, in trying to get information; both online and in calling support locally in Amman; I can't find my answer. The automated call center does't give me an option to talk to a representative, and none of the options I have to select do not relate to my issue. So, I am stuck. It's not worth the hassle trying to get the help I need. Therefore, once other airlines are consistently operating again, I will stop using RJ.

A la suite d'un manquement de la part de notre tour opérateur (non paiement du billet) nous nous sommes retrouvés au comptoir de Royal Jordanian a tenter de joindre ledit tour opérateur durant plus de deux heures. Nous avons été remarquablement assistés par les hôtesses au sol. De même, dans l'avion, à la suite du stress occasionné par ce manquement du tour opérateur, ma compagne a fait un malaise. Le personnel navigant a été à la hauteur, proposant diverses boissons et mettant à notre disposition une bouteille d'oxygène et un masque.

I’ve traveled to over 60 countries, and Royal Jordanian was the first airline where I had various items stolen from my suitcase. This is absolutely appalling!

They cancelled my flight and refunded with just 50% of the ticket money after 1 month of waiting. I Do not recommend them at all.

I had a very disappointing experience with Royal Jordanian Airlines.
My luggage was delayed for several days, causing major inconvenience. When it finally arrived, it was damaged, clearly tampered with, and missing items. I even found a Fanta bottle inside my suitcase that does not belong to me, which proves it had been opened by someone.
On top of that, my luggage was lighter by more than 7kg, confirming that items were removed. This is extremely serious and unacceptable.
What made things worse was the response I received — simply stating that they do not open baggage, without taking any responsibility or properly investigating what happened.
This was my first and will be my last time flying with Royal Jordanian Airlines. I expected professionalism and security, but instead experienced stress, loss, and poor customer service.
I strongly advise others to be cautious, especially when checking in valuable items.

Ho volato recentemente con Royal Jordanian e sono rimasto piacevolmente sorpreso dalla qualità del servizio.
Il personale di bordo: Molto professionale, accogliente e sempre disponibile. Si respira la tipica ospitalità giordana sin dal momento dell'imbarco.Comfort e Pulizia: L'aeromobile (un Dreamliner sulla tratta lunga) era moderno e ben tenuto. Lo spazio per le gambe in Economy è superiore alla media di molte altre compagnie europee.Catering: Il cibo è stato uno degli highlight del viaggio. Pasti gustosi, caldi e con opzioni che riflettono bene la cucina locale. Anche la selezione di bevande è ottima.Puntualità: Entrambi i voli sono partiti e arrivati in perfetto orario, e le procedure di transito ad Amman sono state rapide e senza stress.
Vorrei anche ringraziare il dipartimento italiano per l assistenza e la disponibilità.

Avoid booking with Royal Jordanian Airlines.

My wife had a round-trip ticket from Toronto to Baghdad. After flight cancellations, the airline arranged a “land transfer” from Baghdad to Amman with promises of:
• No visa required
• Direct transport to the airport
• Smooth coordination

All of this was FALSE.

Passengers were dropped at the border, forced to wait حوالي 20 hours, and pay 40 JOD visa fees. No coordination, no respect, and no assistance for elderly or sick passengers.

As a result, they missed flight RJ271 (Amman → Toronto) by just 5 minutes due to the airline’s mismanagement.

The airline only offered one night hotel and refused full responsibility.

Very poor organization, misleading information, and unacceptable treatment.

I strongly recommend booking with other airlines (Turkish, Qatar, Emirates, EgyptAir).

This was a humiliating and stressful experience, and legal action will foll

Scam company, customer support is horrible, don’t book with them.

Not a great airline. Terrible call center. They chanhed my flight 2 hours after I booked. Tje fhanhe was over 8 hours earlier. Mind you, I am a Platinim Hawk member. I called to get refund and they told me to send an email! What kind of service is this? The agent seemed bothered by my call. The airport has no dedicated line for business class. When an issue occurs, they treat everyone like animals, with no communication. Avoid this airline if you can.

اسوأ و أقذر شركة طيران ناس حرامية كنت حاجزة من موقع و مأكدة الحجز لى و لإبنتى بقطعتين لكل منا بإجمالى 46 كيلو من الكويت الى القاهرة شهر فبراير اللى فات و فى مطار الكويت الموظف تحايل علينا و سرقنا لصالح شركة شحن اسمها( السوان كومباني ) و سرق منا 50 دينار كويتي بحجة ان التذكرة قطعة واحدة .... و لما راجعت الموقع أكد لى ان التذكرة قطعتين و ان شركة الطيران حرامية و اشتكيت كتيييير و لا حياة لمن تنادي ..... و الموظف اللى ربنا إن شاء حينتقم منه و يخسره صحته و صحة أولاده ... بهدل متعلقاتى بعد ما دفعنا فلوس قطع زيادة و اصر ندمج محتويات شنطنا فى صندوق... الله ينتقم منه بهدل لى حاجاتى و الصندوق اتبادل و اتفتح و استلمته من المطار حاجاتى خارجة من كل حتة ...ربنا ينتقم منه و الله لن انساها طول عمرى سأدعوا عليه و غير لى حجز المقاعد اللى كنت حاجزاها انا و بنتى و رمانا آخر الطيارة مع المصريين.... لأنه اعطى مقاعدنا المحجوز فى مقدمة الطائرة لأبناء جاليته .....اسوأ و أقذر طيران عنصريين و معاملتهم قذرة جدا ربنا ينتقم منهم و الله و الموظفين اللى بعت ميت شكوى و محدش رد عليا و الله انا خصيمتكم كلكم يوم القيامة

They cancelled my flight 10 hours before my flight and then the second half of my flight was cancelled and they returned less than half I paid in vouchers not money.

This was one of the most frustrating travel experiences I’ve had.

Despite paying for a Business Class ticket, I was downgraded without consent, and both Turkish Airlines and Royal Jordanian refused to take proper responsibility.

Instead of solving the issue, each airline tried to shift the blame to the other, leaving the passenger without a solution.

This raises serious concerns about accountability and customer rights.

Very disappointing experience.

Currently there is FCO guidance not to travel to Amman. The airline is not issuing any notifications about what is to happen to people travelling after the 20th March. Everything is much more last minute than other airlines

I am due to fly internal flights in Jordan in April. British Airways have cancelled all flights. I can't get to Jordan, they say tough luck, internal flights still flying. Who cares about tourists !!
Ticket cost over £600 they say, sorry your problem
