SHADY upsell they try to hide
Sunglasses are fine, but SHADY is darn correct. They AUTO add a crappy "Hard case" to your order and it's super easy, especially on a phone, to not see this little "slide" indicator that they've done that. It doesn't show up as another separate item or anything. Tacked on $10 for a crappy case I threw away. That is, in fact, shady.
I bought sunglasses at a Shady Rays…
I bought sunglasses at a Shady Rays store at Mall of America in Bloomington, MN, live in Iowa. I bought these glasses on 8.22.25 and on 9.11.25, one of the damn arms on the sunglasses will not stay right like the other side and wobbles around loose. It seems the hinge on the over priced sunglasses does not work correctly only after 3 weeks of wear. Come on!

I lost my sunglasses
After losing my sunglasses so I remember Shady Rays has a replacement policy. So I went through the proper steps and get a replacement pair. And I was shocked at how quickly they responded back! I got my new pair in less than a week. When I opened the package I noticed it was the wrong pair. So I reached out to them and they got me the correct pair! And it only took 4 days!!!! No that's customer service... I have 3 pairs and my wife has a pair.

I've first come into contact with Shady Rays this March. I have ordered prescription sunglasses, and regular prescription glasses which turn into sunglasses. The styles the clarity, fit and comfort made me buy 3 more pairs. I was used to paying such higher-up prices on RayBan,Costa, and Vuarnet and the quality was not better than Shady Rays.

Great sunglasses with style
First of all, I am a sunglass snob and only like quality sunglasses; second, I have tried hundreds of pairs of sunglasses and very few of them fit my larger round head. I have several Maui Jim's, that I love and fit me well but I wanted to try some different styles. I have had Oakley's, Ray Bans, and a few others. I saw an ad for the Shady Rays Ace Green Wolf for golf that come in a extra large size that looked great in the ads so I ordered a pair as they are less than half the cost of others I have. I was a little concerned that they would be to large for me. I received them a couple of weeks ago and I was very impressed when I tried them on. I ordered the green mirrored lens (which is more of a blue green but look great). They fit perfect and I love the shape without having the "cat" eye look. They have the perfect tint, not to dark. They provide very sharp contrast, i have used them for a couple of rounds already and they work well on the golf course. They actually have better clarity than my Maui Jim's. They do not move at all while wearing them and the adjustable nose piece is great and are very comfortable to wear and are light weight for a framed pair of sunglasses. They wrap around slightly so they don't stick out. I immediately ordered a pair in the mirror blue lens to have a back up pair as well. Now the true test will be how long they last, a quality pair of sunglasses should last 2-3 years or more without any issues. But so far these look like they will stand up well.

Ordered sun glasses. When they came the frame was scratched on the left side. I emailed them for 2 days and got nothing. Don’t buy from these scammers. The quality has really gone to SHIT.

Sticking to my Oakleys
I ordered a pair of black camouflaged talons from Shady Rays (SR) and received them within a week. I wanted to leave my honest opinion about what I think so here it is. First of all I go through one pair of sunglasses each year due to my job, the hazards and use. Off and on my head, up and down, they get a lot of use. It may be a little early yet because I have not had them very long but I would honestly compare them to Wal-Mart sunglasses. I switch back and forth and do not notice a big visual difference and the plastic bends much like the Walmart glasses. Of course all the money SR spends in advertisement and how social media has hiped them up, its no wonder the SRs cost an average $25 dollars more. I may have to stick to my Oakleys SRs but thanks for trying.

Great place for quality shades
This company was recommended by other athletic trainers as a source for quality yet affordable sunglasses. I loved the variety of styles and they have lots of sales throughout the year. I ordered multiple sunglasses and was able tobreturn the ones I didn't want to keep without any issues whatsoever. In particular I loved the Terrain (Black Glacier) sunglasses and the Navigator (Navy Silver) frames/lenses. Absolutely recommend.
New to Shady Rays
I am very happy with the optic quality of my Huron Matte Black Polarized glasses. They are of equal quality to the Maui Jim Hookipas that I've been wearing for years and have multiple pairs. The frame quality isn't as good as the MJ's but at less than half the prices, I think it's a good trade off.

Well I was under the impression that if your glasses get loss, broke or damaged they will replace them. I just tried to replace mine and they want me to pay almost as much as the glasses in processing fees. I paid$25 and to process a new pair is $17. What a ripe off.

False advertising at its finest...beware they will not replace your broke sunglasses for free it cost a $25 processing fee..... really!

Had a small screw having issues leading me to belive it was stripped, reached out and talked to the support and a replacement is on the way. Super simple and easy.
Expedited shipping with this company is an outright lie.
When a company offers expedited shipping and guarantees a wait period of only between 24-48 hours to process and send out order, you expect them to do so. That wasn’t the case with me. I’m sure many have paid the 21 dollar and some change price for express shipping only to have the order be FILLED by the 5th day since making the purchase. Now customer support did their best to help but even after placing tickets on my order to have it out much sooner, they completely failed and did not meet or guarantee my order would be delivered by the end of the week. Asked about reimbursement or to get a refund on the shipping fee and yet to have a concrete answer. Overall if you claim and offer these options for shipping and can’t meet them, don’t offer them or hire more personnel. A company that goes into complete shambles with holiday orders or special.
