We placed an order in May for delivery…

*Very clearly going bust hence their massive reductions and lack of future stock based on other reviews*

We placed an order in May for delivery in July due to our extension being finished then. 2 days beforehand I receive an email saying it’s out of stock, yet I know I ordered when they had stock!! It’s not my problem they now don’t…they’re too busy taking the money as quickly as possible rather than ensuring they can fulfill orders placed some time ago. So they now have £1280 of my money for 2 months and I have nothing to show for it, I now have to wait another 2 months apparently for it. Seeing as I have had no response to my email I’m not even sure I’ll have a sofa in September. How on earth anyone is happy with this shocking level of service I don’t know. In 15 years of using DFS we have had no issues. Not sure we want a snug now!!

Cancelled our order less than a week…

Cancelled our order less than a week before delivery due date, had plenty of time to fix it, no explanation or solution given, these guys are clearly about to go bust, selling off what stock they have left, how can a company selling such popular products go bust?! Shame as product is really nice.

Incorrect items delivered.

On Monday 8th July we took delivery of our new sofa. Unfortunately the wrong items were delivered. We received 2 base units but no back unit. Other than an automatic response we have not heard anything from Snug. Our response could change if the correct items are delivered promptly.

Short notice lack of stock

Similar to the reviews left over the last few days, I bought a sofa in the sale and two weeks after I bought it (and three days prior to the delivery date) received an email informing me that after a technical error, they were not expecting any further stock. No offer to explore alternatives, no token gesture of a discount on other SNUG products, just a generic "We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused". Poor from a customer service perspective, but also from a sales perspective. I was willing to pay over £1000 for a sofa and SNUG have gone "No thanks". A shame from both parties perspective.

Cancelled order after delivery scheduled

I ordered a sofa in May during the sale. Today (6 weeks later) I had an email cancelling my order after having received delivery details, a date and tracking information. They still had the sofa in stock online after this email. On calling them the customer service was appalling they did not answer any of my questions regarding how this could have happened or offer any kind of resolution apart from a refund which is unacceptable. So having kept my money for 6weeks and profited from this “kindly” they offered to give it back to me. They sell stock they don’t have so buyer beware!

Cancelled my order a month after…

Cancelled my order a month after ordering with no explanation as to why. Went to reorder and all sofas are now out of stock. Because of this I have now missed out on the sale and have no sofa to move into my new flat with. Extremely disappointed.

Big chill medium corner sofa from Snug

I ordered a corner sofa from snug as the price seemed reasonable and in a second floor flat with a narrow stairway, it was super convenient to get a modular sofa. I ordered a Big Chill sofa, and am very happy with it. It's quite firm, but comfortable, and good for lounging on. The delivery went well, with frequent updates, and it was very easy to assemble. There are some good options for payment plans also.

Shame to see the Snug brand go

For authenticity I'll leave my original review below, but given the efforts that Ryan the COO has put in to turn things around I wanted to give an update here.

Since having a bad experience, Ryan stepped in to make sure we were able to get sofas and still have a good deal. While not the exact products we wanted we've been able to get set up with some really good quality sofas that were so simple to put together and so far seem to be excellent quality.

I am baffled that the brand is being discontinued. It's a terrible decision by poltronesofà and SCS, as there are so few decent options for quick delivery sofas that are easy to build. The new options from SCS are ugly and take weeks so will likely be going to Swift unless SCS sort themselves out and bring back Snug.

We placed an order over a month ago, and were assured that we would be able to delay the order until our house was ready. We've now been told that they won't be fulfilling the order, that we can't order anything else because they don't have any other stock and they aren't even remotely interested in trying to help us. We were pushed quite aggressively by a Snug sales person who told us to get our order in as soon as possible so we wouldn't miss out, which we then did and we've missed out anyway, as well as having had our money locked down. Moreover in the meantime we've planned our entire interior scheme around these sofas and bought everything to go alongside what will now be a massive empty space. I can even see from other reviews that people have ordered after us and received their sofas already so it's a very bitter pill to swallow from a company that has acted incredibly unethically and simply doesn't care.

Nearly Perfect

I recently bought The Big Chill sofa in beach (cream Textile) from Snug. The sofa came within 2 days, and is beautiful. It was so easy to put together, and looked, felt and smelt fantastic. I love that new sofa smell. The only negative was that the beach (Cream) material had dirty hand marks on some of the ends where is was packaged before despatch. You would expect with such a light coloured sofa that the packers would have clean hands? No big deal, I would recommend snug. Stylish, affordable and great quality, plus fast delivery.

Snug. Easy, comfy.

Really easy to put together and we finally have a sofa that fits our flat after a nightmare with a previous purchase from DFS - really happy with it and our bums have never been comfier! Excited to be able to expand on it once we’re in a home of our own with more space!

Sceptical, but was very surprised, so comfy!!

Was sceptical when I saw the sofa online, but it’s very very comfy, and it fitted through the doorway/down a narrow set of stairs that I needed it to.
Only downfall was that the delivery drivers were not the most helpful, didn’t say hello, and just seem to be in a rush and wanted to put the boxes in the doorway, and go, didn’t offer to help get it down the stairs either, maybe that was an extra service I needed to pay for.

So many choices

So many choices. Don’t even have to think if sofa will fit in door. Easy website to use. Great customer services. Decided on the Rebel sofa and footstool. Well pleased with quality and comfort. All positive- no negatives at all. Great products - great company. Distribution company was good as well
