This was THE MOVING NIGHTMARE FROM G** KNOWS WHERE...IF YOU COME IN CONTACT WITH THESE PEOPLE RUN!!!!! You are better off to get another company (not frm the broker to pack and load your truck and get someone else to drive it to your destination) Moving Day, I had moved the majority of my stuff I was taking to the living room to make this easier, dont waste your time on trying to make it easier for them. My items were listed on the inventory list, they came, and hardly loaded up anything before they stated that i was over my cubic square feet, 1st of all they showed no bill of lading, they didnt show me the space, i was supposed to get, when they finished loading what they wanted they stopped and tried to rake me for more money. They told me that on one of the items if i pay all 3 guys under the table they would put it on the truck, they wanted a total of 90 dollars, I begged them to take my stuff, its on the list I call Starline and they spoke to them but nothing was resolved, I was not told anything, they hung up, they Hired GMR to Move, told me these are nice guys, told me they will do an excellent job for me...yeah what planet are you from? They were supposed to take the cost of the piano off and the 2 benches if the person who was to pick it up did so, we had it in the estimate just in case i had to move it, well they didnt do that, They left behind, My matching end table to my living room set, they left my 2 white cabinets, they left a TV stand, they left my patio furniture, they left my 1 bedroom lamp and my 2 living room lamps that matched that set, they left a small deck and chair, they left the area rug, they left my outdoor patio set. they were going to leave my computers as well. All they took was my TV, my refrigerator, my bedroom set and a living room set, the rest were boxes...This was a move from a 1 level house to a basement. My stuff didnt arrive until friday, the move was only 333 miles from Charlotte North Carolina to Fredericksburg Va, my stuff finally arrives, of course they rake me for more money before they would deliver my belongings, I am in total distraught, I am a 64 year old disabled female in complete distraught at this time, my daughter in law and my son came rushing home to see what was going on, one of the movers walked in their house and they had no idea who the heck he was and he was not invited in, then to make matters worse, I tried to make it convenient for them and that was another nightmare..I called Starline again, nothing was resolved., They talk about how they handle your stuff with care and will set it up for you, another lie, my daughter in law told them where to put the items, nope they didn't do that either, the nightmare was getting worse, then they just threw my stuff in, they tried to put my refrigerator through the sliding glass door with the bottom drawer and shove it in , and it need to have the drawer taken off to get it in , they damaged the sliding glass door, I called and pleaded with Starline to fix this to make this right, and not only that they told my family members they my furniture stunk of cat urine all over it and had them psyched out like i lived liked a "PIG" It took my brother and his wife to come over and tell me they did not smell any animal urine in my furniture. The movers put the refrigerator in my bedroom and refused to move it where it was showed by my daughter in law, they just did what they wanted after all according to the Movers GMR, they dont have to do anything the contract says they are, I was in distraught for days on the loss of my belongs left behind but the DAMAGES THEY DID TO NEARLY EVERY PIECE OF FURNITURE; THEY DAMAGED MY CHERRYWOOD FURNITURE, EVERY PIECE OF IT WAS DAMAGED IN THIS MOVE, THEY DAMAGED MY REFRIDGERATOR WITH DENTS, SCRATCHES , REMOVEAL OF THE PAINT, THEY CRACKED THE DOOR, THEY DAMAGED MY BEAUTIFUL 55-60 IN TV I filed their so called insurance claim...HA HA HA...THATS THE BIGGEST JOKE OF ALL...i FILED THE CLAIM 3 TIMES WITH PICTURES, I SENT "F" THE PICTURES OF ALL MY DAMAGES, now did "F" try to help me? I dont know, he told me he would do what he could for me to get my other items, these poeple lie the movers lied,. "F" said he knew the owner of this company they hired, oh they are very nice, and YES they were willing to help me for an additional 500-700 dollars more, there items were on the inventory list, these items were already included in the cubic square footage, the item that they were supposed to take off for they refused. Now this so called insurance company comes back to offer me a 75.00 inconvenience fee..REALLY ARE YOU FOR REAL, THEY LEFT 15 OF MY ITEMS THAT THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO BRING, I DID NT LIST ALL 15 ON THIS SITE BUT THAT IS WHAT THEY LEFT THEN TO BOOT MY STUFF IS ALL DAMAGED, THEN THEY COME BACK WITH A FINAL OFFER OF 125.00 FROM THE MOVING COMPANY (GMR) Not a real ins co. I call this SENIOR ABUSE. I PAID 3154.00 for an incomplete move and damaged furniture.

BEWARE! They are NOT movers!

They are NOT movers, they are BROKERS! I had to cancel because they couldn’t guarantee my move, after I had already paid a large deposit. I canceled in August of 2023. I was supposed to get my refund the following week. It’s March of 2024 and I still haven’t received my refund. This is fraud. I gave them one last chance today, and if my refund isn’t received by the end of the week I will be filing a claim with the Florida Attorney General for Interstate Commerce Fraud.

Unfortunate Experience

****I am updating my review due to conversations with a manager over the last week or so (3/5/24). I did change my rating from a 1 star to a 3 star due to the recent interactions I have had with the manager Brian. It was explained there was a change in personnel and the individual who was handling the refunds failed to do his part which is why I was not provided my refund timely. The manager was very apologetic and has been very responsive. I was provided my refund back on 3/12/24. In general I would say when considering a moving company make sure you do all your research prior to paying any funds.**********

When providing a quote they were very responsive and then became a bit overbearing. I had to make a quick decision based on the timing of my move and was pressured into signing the contract. On the contract it stated if you cancel within 72 hours of signing you would receive your deposit back. I had a gut feeling not to utilize this company so within 24 hours of signing I emailed info@starlinevan*****.com as indicated on the contract and asked to cancel my contract and refund my $900. This was on 1/3/24. Today is 3/5/24 and they have YET to refund my $900 deposit. I have emailed them numerous times. I called them numerous times and I have been given the same story, they are "researching" it and will get back to me. I believe they even blocked my number because I wasn't able to get through so I was using different lines to call in and magically got through. They do not stick to their word of following up on issues and apparently what is written in their contract don't matter because they have yet to comply with that. I intend to go on every site that has a review for this company so anyone that is looking to hire a moving company stays away from them!!!

This is the worst company

This is the worst company! They are liars and will say anything to get your money. Quality assurance told me the foreman would be able to adjust the price based on the furniture I had. This didn’t happen and I had to pay double of what I was told. Do not use them!! If you are moving do not use a broker.

I wish I could give them 0 stars. This has been the worst experience of my life. I just keep getting lied to. The total cost ended up being 2x what I was quoted and I was told IN WRITING that the move process would take about 2 days. BLANTANT lies and deceptive business practices.
It will have been nearly 2 weeks by the time I receive my items (if they actually stay true to the date I was given this time). AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!

The worst company ever

The worst company ever. I received a call from the movers on Friday asking to reschedule my Saturday 8am mover, I said okay it was moved to Sunday at 8am. I drive 2 hours to work at the moment so I was relying on the movers so I could only be 20mins from work. I was lied to all day from 8 am until 6pm, then I finally get a call asking if I still want to move. Don’t EVER use this company you will regret it.

First time mover's lifesavers

First time mover's lifesavers. As a moving novice, the experience was initially a nightmare. The dislike for moving was profound. However, the team made a significant difference. They assisted with packing, alleviating the stress of a sudden move due to my wife's transfer to Florida. While moving wasn't enjoyable, their support made it bearable. I'd consider using them again if the need arises in the future.

This is my second time moving with this company. The guys were professional, efficient, incredibly careful with all of our belongings, and fast!

They had great attitudes, and our move couldn't have gone better. They are far better than the other movers. I moved all my stuff to my new apartment without any damage or loss. I highly recommend them!

These guys are the best movers

These guys are the best movers that I have ever used! We hired them after going through all the positive feedback on their site.

The officials were very responsive on the online portal; they had a short virtual survey of the house and gave me an estimated quote.

Everything was done flawlessly and to my surprise, we were not even charged a single penny above the fixed quote.

I booked Starline last minute for a move I needed completed immediately. I received a comprehensive quote prior to my move as soon as I booked. On the day of the move, Antwan and Merrill showed up perfectly on time with smiling faces. They greeted us professionally and walked me through my quote before starting the moving process. From beginning to end, they were nothing but friendly and professional. They kept things moving and wrapped my furniture up diligently and carefully. They didn’t even blink an eye at the stairs that everything had to go up when they arrived at the final destination, they just rolled up their sleeves and got to work. Brian has been very helpful through the entire move. Had some issues with delivery and Brian was able to offer a $300 refund for the issues we encountered. He was very attentive and willing to make this right. I would recommend, no company I have used before tried to make things right they usually brush you off and this company shows they care. Their movers were nice and the items got delivered safely.

Very professional

Very professional. Done in a timely manner. Worth every penny. Usually moving is an unpleasant experience but not with these guys. They made it very pleasant. No stressing at all. Got the job done right. Even the personnel I spoke with on the phone and through email were polite and courteous. I would highly recommend this company for all your moving needs.

Do NOT use

I was looking for movers in late Oct I had gotten another quote but then Jacob called told me I’d be doing them a favor because they had a truck in my area that was empty and needed it filled so we went over what I had. He also said he would give me our military discount The next call was with Mandy she tells me Jacob didn’t put half the stuff I had on the truck so I would be charged more so I told her to pull the call and then I was informed Jacob was fired because he hadn’t been doing his job correctly. So I paid the difference and a fee for changing the date. Which at the time they could have reminded me there was a fee before making that change because I wouldn’t have changed the date. I called about the military discount numerous times and all I was told is they would work on it. On Nov 15 the movers came they were supposed to be at my house at 11am they didn’t get their till 5:45pm and didn’t leave till 10:45 we were told we had more then they had on the pick up I said I went over everything with Mandy 3X and even took off so big items so I don’t understand that! So I went from $3500 to a bit less then $8000. I asked about my military discount again he said no one picked up but it would be taken care the next day by Jessica. I called and Jessica said STARLINES was responsible for that and STARLINES blames them. I didn’t have my house yet so I didn’t have my address so they said they would store my household goods for 30 days free. Which atleast they were doing that. Well I got my place and I called them last week they said they would call me back Inhave not heard from anyone. I just tried to call the number on my paper and it’s disconnected. I called STARLINES and keep getting a recording. I’m really hoping this isn’t a scam. I’m getting nervous!! I wouldn’t suggest this company. I should have went with the other company kicking myself it’s now Dec 11th and nothing

Movers came on time, and quickly and efficiently loaded the truck up! All of our belongings were moved safely. Such a stress free move. Can't recommend them highly enough.

Best job!

Excellent company. They managed to fit all my things in the truck with no problem. Really friendly and helpful, and very easy going which was helpful on a stressful day! No breakages or any problems.

60%+ of the belongings are missing or…

60%+ of the belongings are missing or broken. Contacted Starline Vanlines and after two rounds of emails they ghosted us. Taking advantage of a single mother with special circumstances is shameful to say the least. They are the definition of scammers.

It's regrettable to witness such dishonesty in your review. To address the inconvenience caused by this situation, please contact Customer Service at 850-805-5917 to initiate a claim for compensation. We provide moving insurance to cover missing or damaged items and will compensate accordingly.
