The food is delicious but there just isn't enough of it to justify the cost, nor is it exactly a balanced meal. I have had to add a green vegetable to most dishes
I will keep going for now but will probably try others.

I’ve really been enjoying the Tastily dishes. Loads of variety on the menu and new dishes to try, I like being able to choose from a large or regular size portion as well. Not to mention the superb customer service, all my queries have been responded to almost immediately!

Using autorenewal as an excusse to wrongfully take money

Can you explain why you continue to steal money from my father's account and send him food he no longer wants?
The subscription was cancelled, and we were told that the auto-renewal process would be stopped. It then happened again and again, and yes, again.
you said in an email on the 17th January "I apologise if this was not explained clearly on the phone, you can order on an ad-hoc basis by re-pausing/cancelling your subscription once you have placed an order before the next renewals the following Friday. This is how to manage the account if you are wishing to order every once in a while rather than on a subscription basis. When you place a new order this automatically restarts your subscription for you, I hope that all makes sense?".
NO MANUAL ORDERS HAVE BEEN PLACED
Your explanation for all the orders processed since December is that you had a new system fitted, which keeps auto-renewing. GET IT SORTED!!! This is the fourth time it has happened.
This time when you refund the payment, can you ensure you delete my father's bank details from your systems?
You have caused my father financial distress too many times now. WE ARE NOT YOUR OVERDRAFT FACILITY.
If you continue to process unwanted orders and take money from my father's account, I will report the whole charade to trading standards and VISA because what you do cannot be right from a legal perspective.
This is the third time you have caused my father hardship by taking money from his account, and even though you have refunded the money, my father should have never suffered the embarrassment of his card being declined because you took his money at that moment.
GET THIS SORTED ONCE AND FOR ALL,
Please review the last email of 24th February 2023 and your response. For the third or fourth time, you promised to get onto IT and ensure that AUTO RENEWAL wouldn't happen again.

Hit but mostly miss
The food is normally nice, but sometimes even the same meals can be hit or miss.
In the 3 months we have been with them, we have been overcharged, a delivery missed and meals not been included. We have about a 3/8 success rate of smooth delivery and experience.
Their system for changing meals is horrendous and not intuitive at all.
The response time of the customer service is also long. We've waited hours for a response mid conversation before.
When it works its great, it just doesn't work a lot of the time.

Quality, tasty, nutritious and healthy
I have been a regular customer for several months now. With an excellent range of meals from vegetarian, fish and meat selections, which change regularly, there are always tasty and interesting choices. If you are looking for good quality tasty, nutritious and healthy meals I would definitely recommend them.

Underwhelming
The delivery was fine. Choice disappointing but more problematic was the flavour of the meals.
Everything seemed to taste the same and texture and seasoning odd.
I have cancelled my subscription.

Far too many errors and problems
By my second delivery there was already 3 problems that made me decide to unsubscribe. Technical issues on website meaning the food I chose wasn’t selected in my order, I then went onto live chat to resolve it and had no reply, I tried again the next day and was told my order couldn’t be changed exactly how I wanted it as it was too late (even though I altered everything on the website within the time slot). My order came a day late, so by the time I had time to eat my meals 2 would be out of date unless I ate 2 meals a day. I was told to freeze them by live chat which obviously would result in them not being fresh so what’s the point? When my delivery came I ordered all large and paid for all large however 2 regular sizes came instead. No compensation of any kind was offered throughout this whole ordeal until I told them I was unsubscribing and they then only offered 50% off my next order which isn’t enough when hours of my time with emails back and forth and speaking to live chat to try and resolve it, just made it become more hassle than it’s worth. The food quality was okay, but didn’t taste any better than your regular microwave meals, a lot of the meals were actually very bland. The size of the large portion is the only positive I have from my experience as they are a decent size but for over £8 you should expect that.
EDIT- *Reply to comment left to review from Tastily*- It’s good that steps have been taken to fix some of the issues and yes I received the £2.30 refund on my £91 order for 2 of the wrong size dish’s being sent however it would have been nice to receive actual refunds for the dishes sent that I had already told the team I didn’t like that still got sent to me as they did get thrown away. Your customer service team have been very polite and friendly throughout, but that only gets you so far in terms of selling products to consumers. If mistakes are made from the sellers end it should not be at the consumers cost.

Dreadful experience!
Not impressed. I have to take some blame because I forgot to cancel or pause but when I got an email telling me my order had been placed I immediately contacted customer support and asked to cancel but was refused! 85 quids worth of food I neither want or can eat! I don’t even know what’s coming as I didn’t choose it! Good news for the local homeless shelter, but I won’t recommend or ever use tastily again. Shame 😞

Amazing
Amazing. The dinners were gobbled up by teenagers and in 3 cases I was only left with the ability to lick to plate so sadly didn’t get to try all the dishes I wanted. They arrived fast and efficiently and the portions were extremely generous. Loved them all. Especially the prawn dish. So tasty.

Perfect service for 1 person
I've never enjoyed cooking. I live alone and used to end up wasting so much food. Also found I was eating the same meals every week and they were always unhealthy.
Tastily is perfect for me as the meals are healthy, fresh, and I'm eating something different everyday. I certainly don't miss food shopping for 1 person.

Where is my order??
So far unimpressed.
My order was supposed to arrive on the 4th of December but due to some unknown error it was rescheduled for the 21st. My order page in my account shows 2 orders there, though I have been reassured I haven't been charged twice.
Well, it is 17:30 on the 21st and according to DPD my parcel is still in Basingstoke so there is no chance in hell it will be in Aberdeen tonight - which is what I was counting on.
Is the food fresh and edible a day later after sitting at some depot? Why advertise a delivery date only for that to not be met?? I cannot comment on the quality of the food since we haven't seen it yet, but in terms of customer service, to me this is really very poor. I am going to give the company one chance to explain themselves and if this happens again then it is definitely goodbye. We use Detoxkitchen regularly and we have never had the slightest issue, if anything, I get responses all hours of day and night whenever there have been minor delays and such like. Very disappointing experience so far.
UPDATE (25/01/23): Tastily refunded the order after significant chasing on my part. Since then there have been no new issues, though deliveries arrive a bit on the late side where we live. Overall, the variety of dishes is good and the quality certainly better than typical supermarket ready meals. The option for larger portions is also very favourable. We will continue to use the service for the foreseeable future, but we do use other suppliers too.

Initially bad support over chat, email support was much better. Chat based support system doesn't save ticket history
Delay between "cut off" and delivery date too large
Meals were ok, a little overpriced perhaps, but worth the saved time.
Reminder "cut-off" email from my first week was sent to junk, so I received an unexpected order on the Friday which the team initially refused to cancel.
The new customer experience wasn't great overall.
Good choice, great taste, bigger portions than expected
Really good recipe choice, great home-cooked look and taste, and surprisingly large portions too.

Excellent ‘ready meals’ - like eating out!
The meals are delicious. Wide choice to suit all tastes and everything that was delivered was well packed and chilled, which ensured everything was kept fresh.
The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because the meals were only 6 days from use by date - a minor glitch as they should (according to the company) be a full week. Otherwise - excellent food, good portions and very very tasty. I particularly love that all nutritional info is given and the packaging is simple and recyclable.
