I live close to Aleem's office and used Earth Trip as I wanted to support a local business. I'm really pleased with my choice. He helped us come up with a shortlist of options and designed plans based on our preferences. We chose Sri Lanka and the whole experience was fantastic from beginning to end.
A special message to Chanaka who was with us throughout the trip and was knowledgeable, helpful and friendly.

After meeting Aleem from Earth Trip at the Travel Show Olympia we decided to book a holiday in Sri Lanka. He obviously has great knowledge of his own country and this showed through the itinerary that he created for us. He expertly recommended places/experiences until we felt that everything we'd requested was included. It was brilliant! We had our own driver and enjoyed 17 days of a great mix - stunning landscapes, historical sites, walks, cooking, wetlands, train journey, markets, beaches, safari park. All the accommodation was very comfortable, in particular the really special small boutique hotels and lodges in beautiful locations with delicious meals. Earth Trip really care about what tourism can bring to the country you're visiting, always using local people. I highly recommend them.

Our recent adventure to Sri Lanka, planned by Aleem at Earth Trip, was fantastic from top to bottom. While preparing, Aleem and the rest of the Earth Trip team answered all of our questions with patience and timeliness. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by our guide/driver, Nishan, and away we went. Accommodations exceeded our expectations. Food was excellent. Experiences were marvelous, with Nishan going above and beyond on quite a few days (sunrise at Lipton Seat, for example). I look forward to working with Earth Trip on future adventures. They're wonderful.

My wife and I took this trip to do some walking and to see the wildlife. It's an incredible country with some stunning scenery and lovely people. Our driver Ushankaa could not have been better, taking a real interest in birds and animal. He was able to spot birds that would easily have been missed and was always keen to get the best photos. A real five start performance and we would thoroughly recommend him.
Accommodation was excellent with some real gems like Rangala House with wonderful views over the forest.
Sri Lankan cuisine was is delightful, especialy for vegetarians, dahls, hoppers, and kottu, all bursting with flavour and spice.
We would highly recommend Earth Trip to anyone looking for a unique and enriching travel experience.

We have just returned from a fabulous wildlife-centred holiday in Sri Lanka!

Firstly, the outstanding positives:
• Our main chauffeur/guide, Shanaka. He went absolutely above and beyond for us. He was patient when I was busy taking photos, and always suggesting things to make our holiday even more special. He also answered all of our questions. Cannot rate him highly enough! Thanks Shanaka!
• The hotels and staff. All the hotels were amazing, and in beautiful settings. All the hotel staff were welcoming, friendly, and couldn’t do enough for you. The food was delicious, too!
• The range of wildlife. SO many different birds! We were also lucky to see lots of deer, elephants, and even a leopard and a bear.

Unfortunately the reason I haven’t voted 5*: The Wildlife Guides.

Sadly, they were incredibly hit and miss. Now, we have done safaris before, so perhaps our expectations here were set highly. But honestly, some were indeed FANTASTIC. Mahesh, who was our guide for the Kalametiya Wetlands, was amazing at spotting and identifying animals, and giving us a lot of information! Sameth, our guide for both the jeep and boat tours at Gal Oya - also astounding. Not only great at spotting, but very helpful with making sure we had taken enough photos before moving on. Many other guides were good - spotting animals and pointing them out, but this is where my negative comes in.

Our… driver, or ‘guide’ at Yala was incredibly disappointing. It was raining, yes. But we have done wet weather safaris before. It doesn’t bother us, and it didn’t bother the animals! Many of them we could see… but the driver didn’t stop the vehicle for any of them to let us get photos, or even to just enjoy and appreciate the animals. I would like to know the exact company this man was employed by, but there was no markings or logos on the jeep.

He drove incredibly fast over the bumpy road too, making us both feel quite uncomfortable and unsafe.

As I say, the holiday was still fantastic, and this one terrible driver/guide didn’t ruin the holiday. Far from it! We just felt incredibly let down by this person in comparison to other guides on this trip, and guides we’ve had on previous holidays.

Earth trip in Chelmsford helped me plan and arrange my recent holiday to Egypt. It was a very full holiday but ran incredibly smoothly due to the efficiency of the team in Moulsham Street.
They booked all my hotels, internal lights, transfers and guides. We had representatives meet us at the airport, help us through all of the security elements… They even took our cases of the travelator!. They continued to help me whilst I was on the trip as I received regular messages from Rebecca.

I could not fault them and I would most definitely recommend them and use them again. The whole team are really lovely, very friendly, very patient… I made lots of changes and alterations all of which was met with calm acceptance and understanding.
If I could give six stars, I would. So pleased I walked through the door one day asking if they could potentially help me.

We have just returned from a 25 day tour of Sri Lanka. Aleem put together a superb itinerary for a thoroughly memorable trip. The accommodation was excellent. The smaller hotels used by Earth Trip suited us perfectly. Our driver and guide Sameera merits a special mention. He was knowledgeable, efficient and guided us perfectly through the whole tour. He spoke very good English, was extremely friendly, interesting and we thoroughly enjoyed his company.

We had the most amazing trip to Sri Lanka over Christmas and the New Year, and our thanks go to The Earth Trip for organising everything so seamlessly. From start to finish, the entire experience was perfectly planned, and we can't recommend them enough.
A huge shoutout to Aleem for putting together a well-thought-out itinerary. Every detail was covered, and we were able to experience the best of Sri Lanka. We visited iconic sites like the stunning Sigiriya Rock, explored the beautiful tea plantations and a factory, enjoyed an incredible safari at Yala National Park, and had the most relaxing time at the beach in Bentota. The variety and quality of experiences made the trip fantastic!
I also want to thank our fantastic driver, Sampath. He was incredibly professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. We always felt safe, and he made us feel like we were in great hands throughout the trip.

I started planning my trip super late and ran into the amazing Samantha, who was not only giving so much information, but giving me the best advice and helping me from the other side of the world. My 3 weeks trip to Madagascar and Mauritius was AWESOME!! From getting picked at the airport, to taking care of the small details as what was what I was looking for from the tour guides and drivers. Sam and her team made it possible to create a curated and tailored experience I will never forget!

I had met Aleem at a travel show pre-COVID and we had built a great itinerary, and then COVID happened. I contacted him again in early 2024, to see if - at short notice - we might be able to go ahead with the trip in April. Aleem came back very quickly to confirm the itinerary and off we went. Resfeber Holidays - the local company in Sri Lanka - were excellent, and our driver-guide Lasantha looked after us very well - a very nice man. Our trip was a mixture of wildlife (Wilpattu was the highlight), hiking and nature (superb ) and culture - the local guides in Anuradhapura and Polonnaruwa top notch. We would highly recommend this company

Had a wonderful 12 days travelling around Mauritius. Earth Trip arranged staying in four different locations, many excursions & tours. The whole trip was organised excellently and went seamlessly. The drivers were all so friendly and interesting and told us so much about the island. We loved every minute of it.
Earth trip really took the stress out of arranging the trip. They were always quick to answer emails and phone calls. I will definitely use them again and highly recommend them.

Recently returned from an amazing 24 days in Brazil and certainly had a wonderful experience,
The attention to detail from both the Earthtrip, and the ground handlers in Brazil was faultless.
Everywhere we went the drivers and Guides were excellent, and extremely knowledgeable especially Roberto who ensured our time in the Pantanal lacked for nothing. The Jaguar experience was all we wanted it to be and we were not dissapointed.
Our accommodation in all the places we stayed was 1st class and apart from a couple of cancelled flights all was well.
The organisation was great, and we will not hesitate in getting quotes for future holidays.

Got back yesterday from THE most fantastic 20 day holiday to Madagascar, arranged by Aleem. We wanted to see wildlife and whales, but only realised in May that the best time for whales is July to Sep - peak time - so our holiday was very short notice. Aleem however quickly put together a touring itinerary that he thought would suit, based on his clearly extensive experience of the island. This included local flights across the island. A couple of last minute changes had to be made, due to unexpected local circumstances, and Aleem took these in his stride. All arrangements were made with a local agency, Hanorah Travel, who were every bit as professional as The Earth Trip. Our local driver/guide - Dida - was outstanding in his care and attention, and his driving on Madagascar’s roads was magnificent, especially on some of the extensive drives between hotels.
In our experience, the 5 Star reviews on Trip Adviser are wholly justified. We will have no hesitation in getting in touch with The Earth Trip for another adventure holiday. By the way, we’re in our 60s.

Unbelievably good. Best holiday ever. I wish all travel agents took such great care of their clients. Every minute was thoughtful perfection. Best value too.

I genuinely cannot speak highly enough of
The Earth Trip travel agent. If anyone is planning a trip to Costa Rica or, I understand, India, Sri Lanka or Indonesia as well, I urge you to call Jeremy Snelling (0787 116 9558) and not use any other travel agent. He delivered the trip of a lifetime but also organised all of the holiday to such a degree that it was completely relaxing and enjoyable every minute. Jeremy spent time on the phone getting to know our wish list and the dynamics of our group (of which we were nine with a spread of ages). He listened intently and clearly was devoted to providing us with a fantastic experience. I challenged him with a tight budget and an extensive wish lists of zip wiring, fishing, white water rafting, treks, hot thermal springs, volcanoes and turtle watching in addition to the touring and wildlife guiding requirements. I also challenged him with leaving it quite late to pull off the trip of a lifetime for my family after procrastinating. I do not know how he actually managed it but he has personal contacts with local people and regularly visits to update his inside knowledge and therefore selected everything off the beaten track and not what would be found in the usual circuit from all the brochures I had looked at. Contact was fantastic and easy by emails and texts when I was too busy at work to chat, but plans needed to be made out confirmed. Always kind, friendly and patient with detailed information that helped with decision making. However, by the end, Jeremy was so knowledgeable and trustworthy, I was able to just leave it up to him. He was always trying to get the best financial option whilst respecting the locals and the fragile tourism infrastructure. Once in Costa Rica, Jeremy was always available on the phone or WhatsApp but we actually got taken care of by his colleagues, ABC tours, with military position and timely updates. They were always waiting for us prompt and polite and couldn’t be more helpful and all loved their job and country so much that they couldn’t help but be the perfect tour guides even if they’re duty was just to get us to a stop or onto the next Hotel. As for the hotels Jeremy booked us into, they were absolute golden nuggets. All extremely comfortable with beautiful pools and each different in character. When he said boutique, he meant boutique for we would drive through strange countryside and then turn the corner and arrive at a jaw dropping destination. We had been warned about passing through San Jose and not stopping but for us the timings meant we needed an overnight stay. Having driven at night through downtown, we were amazed at the tucked away haven that was Hotel Grand D’Or and could not resist staying up to dine in the luxurious restaurant. Some of the hotels could only be got to buy boat which made the trip really exciting and we took in crocodiles and birdlife and iguanas just getting to the hotel. Others required a short prop plane trip as well as a boat journey and had us living completely off grid in a conservationist heaven, exactly the experience we had wished to provide for our children. Every minute of every day was planned by Jeremy, and his team looked after us, informing us to where we had to be next and always communicating ahead so we arrived to a welcome party. We just passively got taken here there and everywhere to take in the best that Costa Rica had to show. Eating was very often included and was an experience itself, as very traditional meals would be presented in a communal way, and if it was not it was readily available and very reasonable. We could not get over how helpful friendly and caring all the staff were and although there was a heavy tip system like in the USA, we did not mind rewarding their efforts at all and often wished to give more. The activities were always of an exceedingly high standard with good gear and safety standards. Each filled the day and left us on a high and completely fulfilled. That was the overall experience he gave each and every one of us. A complete high from excitement, awe, beauty, good cuisine, scenery, wildlife, travel experiences, people and comfort that will stay with us forever. A minor miracle all things considered with the brief. Thank you The Earth Trip.

I contacted Aleem at Earth Trip last October regarding a trip to Sri Lanka. Aleem worked with me in suggesting ideas for an itinerary which was tweaked with Aleem’s fantastic knowledge working in wildlife safaris, cultural sites & relaxation at the beach.
Our guide Ushanka has been fantastic. A real sense of humour with our 12 & 16 year old and a wealth of knowledge about wildlife and Sri Lankan history & culture.

From beginning to end, Aleem has been fantastic. We had the chance at a holiday of a lifetime and thought Sri Lanka would be great for us and our 2 teens. Aleem put together an itinerary that suited us all, wildlife/treks/beach/history/temples and at fantastic hotels. We usually go to Europe in Air BnB’s so having someone else book all the tickets, plan the excursions was a holiday in itself for me!! Our guide Chanaka was such a special part of our experience. His knowledge and love of Sri Lanka knew no bounds. He was so great with our neuro divergent teens and when the chaos of Kandy got too much or when the kids asked him for the umpteenth time, what the timing plans were for the day-he was a star. It truly was a holiday of a lifetime. Would use Earth Trip again without reservation!

The team at Earth Trip has an exceptional depth of knowledge about the destinations they work with—far more than any travel agency I have used before. We went to Java and Bali, and they designed a bespoke trip for my family and me that included the main sites but avoided over-commercialized areas.

In the lead-up to the holiday, we had to make many changes, which Earth Trip handled patiently and professionally. Their deft handling of logistics was another strength—five of us were moved through a significant part of Indonesia by land, sea, and air. Each time, our travel arrangements were managed perfectly.

We also experienced a couple of flight delays, which resulted in changes to our schedule. Again, these were handled well, and Aleem was always available, no matter the day or time.

Another strength was the choice of the partner travel agency on the ground. They handled additional changes during the holiday when we wanted to adjust our schedule, and these changes were made without fuss. We visited sites such as Borobudur, Mount Bromo, and other fabulous places. For these visits, Earth Trip arranged local guides who took care of our entry tickets and ensured we received all the information we needed. They were charming and knowledgeable.

Overall, it was an excellent experience with Earth Trip. I think we were high-maintenance clients, and although we occasionally stretched them a little, they delivered in full.

I contacted Aleem and his company a year ago about travelling with my family which includes 4 teenagers. He worked with me to produce a unique itinerary which had an excellent range of activities to suit us all. We stayed in some truly amazing places and had some brilliant experiences. Everything was arranged in advance and it was really a carefree holiday. I would highly recommend this company if you want a unique experience in Sri Lanka and want to learn a little about local life.

We have just returned from an incredible family holiday in Sri Lanka which was organised by Aleem at the Earth Trip. When I first enquired about a holiday to Sri Lanka Aleem was really prompt in getting back to me and really helpful at suggesting an itinerary that would work for our family (2A, 3C age 10,8,3 years). He made adjustments where required and we felt in such good hands travelling to a new country with the kids. The whole holiday was put together so well and everything was really well managed out in Sri Lanka. We had a brilliant time, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Aleem and The Earth Trip.
