These courses have helped me tremendously. I truly felt safe and at ease because of the thoughtful and compassionate way Liz presents her exercises. I appreciate her kind and calm understanding about trauma healing,
The pace and order of her somatic exercises really work well for me. There is no rushed feeling in doing them. As someone who started these as a disabled, sedentary, obese woman in her late 50’s with fibromyalgia, cptsd, and degenerative disc disease so bad I could barely walk, always in pain, and had underwent surgery #4 during this time, the exercises were not strenuous at all. The exercises are also short, and precise, which the adhd part of me truly appreciates!
About a week into the course, releases started happening, big and small, mostly about 12 or so hours later. I then realized that sometimes nothing really triggered them, other than the somatics, and that realization helped me really let go of analyzing, and just relax and allow the tears to flow.
I restarted my course after a rough recovery from surgery, Not surprisingly, I have had some really deep, whole body releases, and girl let me tell you, I felt so much relief after a day or so! Intense, yet not nearly laden with emotion as I expected. You really do feel lighter and more energetic after a few of these. These movements have also helped me release some of the heaviness of suppressed grief.
I know this was long. I felt it was important to let you know where I was coming from when starting these classes, so that anyone who may be in similar health wouldn’t feel so intimidated by them, as I was when signing up for the course. This has been one of the best wellness and self care purchases I’ve made, truly.

So happy so far!
The exercises are clear and easy to follow. I already have had some reactions that were described. I have started doing them before bed, and I fall right to sleep (which is not always easy for me!)

Die Übungen sind sehr einfach und kurz, aber helfen mir zu entspannen. Ich hatte nach Tag 7 eine schreckliche Emotion über viele Stunden und musste weinen. Ob das auch am neurogenen Zittern und der Zwerchfelldehnung lag, kann ich nicht genau sagen.

I feel things shifting inside of me
I feel things shifting inside of me. By day 5 or 6, I felt digestive discomfort and had a nightmare that was consistent with a big source of trauma from a few years ago. However, I welcomed both because I do feel that I’m healing. And now, the digestive issues have subsided and I feel very peaceful and resilient. I’m excited to continue on with the course and experience more healing.
