Why didn’t I do this sooner!

After deciding to install a solar solution, I requested quotes from five suppliers. I spoke with most of them, but UK Solar Experts were by far the most informative.

I had an initial call with Paul Fulthorpe, who couldn’t have been more helpful. He explained every element in detail, ensuring I had all the information needed to make an informed decision. Once I decided to go with UK Solar Experts, Paul remained available and responsive to any questions I had along the way.

The process then moved to the office team, and I dealt with Dylan, Bethany, and Leighton — all of whom provided outstanding communication. Every aspect of the installation process was clearly explained, and the system was installed and fully operational within just two weeks!

The installation team were professional, courteous, and did a fantastic job. I’m now just waiting on the final certificates before being able to officially start exporting to the grid.

A huge thank-you to the entire UK Solar Experts team — I can’t recommend them highly enough!

Excellent information provided about the breakdown of how the system works also in-depth details on facts and figures and benefits of installation also step by step guidance on the process from start to finish and after care services Bethany was extremely helpful answering any concerns regarding installation and advise on how to installation was slightly late but got carried out with care and attention providing information about progression and the lads cleaned up afterwards scaffolding was taken down the day after completion swiftly and only when the job was completed did I part with finances

Had a great zoom call all information about solar and batterys that you need to know.
Installation was very fast and very clean.
Communication was great any problem was answered with a text or a call.
The solar and battery insulation was great but waiting for mcs certificate 3 weeks and dno certificate 4 weeks was hard watching power go to grid and not be paid for

Ive changed this review a few times. Had some initial hiccups but would recommend. They give a good after service. Not the cheapest but easy to get hold of and fast install.

Despite a small miscommunication, the process from sales to installation went well. 10 panels, battery and inverter.

We went with the Givenergy system to be able use the Octopus intelligent flex rate, which provided us with better financial benefits as well as an app to monitor the performance.

I would like to especially thank the installation team, Ben and Frankie. They were courteous, explained properly what they were doing, and listened to us. So that the little tweaks were done to our satisfaction.

Had a video meeting with Paul who was very informative but the one negative is when it comes to the pricing. Offering a discount contingent upon immediate acceptance is a pushy sales tactic that should be avoided. The estimated installation timeframe was one day, whereas the actual installation took four. The installers turned up late on the first day which ment I had to help the delivery driver off load all the equipment. After drilling into an electric cable in my wall that I wasn't aware of, they left to get more materials and were gone for 2 hours, later in the day they needed more roofing materials and on this occasion were gone for 3 hours! On the following day, they failed to turn up at all. They finally arrived on Friday evening at 7:30. It took approximately three weeks to remove the scaffolding. Now, four weeks after installation, the rubbish has yet to be collected. I also need to redecorate due to the damage caused when drilling.
The product itself is excellent, but my service experience was not. However, Bethany and Dylan were always pleasant and easy to deal with.

UK Solar are a great company. Fitting of our battery and inverter was very good. Guy was informative with everything he did.
We had a delay with DNO but that wasn’t UK’s fault.
After sales with Beth Dylan and Neil very good.

Efficient and on time

From the first Phone call and Zoom call everything went as smooth as a military operation. The guys arrived as promised bright and early, were extremely courteous throughout the whole time they were at our residence and were extremely helpful in helping us understand how everything worked, how to use the app and left the area very clean neat and tidy. To say I was impressed by their hard work and professionalism is an understatement and I would not hesitate to recommend this company if you are thinking of having Solar Energy fitted.

From first contact to completion found UK Solar Experts very professional. Spoke with Dylan who then designed the system after giving me options and agreeing a price . Order placed with planning team who were fantastic nothing was to much trouble good customer service throughout. Install completed work in a day explained everything installed app and set up system they were hard working cleared up site. After service technical support excellent.

Uk solar experts are very helpful through out the process of installing the battery and EV charger , and also able to negotiate with price, compare to other installers solar is competitive and affordable.

My only experience of this company is by way of their current YouTube adverts where their team of "experts" is shown installing inverters and batteries in loft spaces. The British Standards Institute introduced guidelines in March 2024 covering battery installation in lofts and a quick Google will list why the installation of both batteries and inverters in loft spaces is very bad practice.
As a retired Chartered Engineer I'm trained to go below the surface of any technology I'm interested in buying so with that background I can assure you that these "experts" haven't the foggiest idea of what they are doing. Stay well clear.

UK Solar Experts did a great job for us from start to finish.
Their initial quotation process was very quick and efficient, and the price was very competitive. The team in the office were very responsive and easy to get hold of. Bethany and Dylan were particularly helpful and Knowledgeable From the first initial phone call to the work commencing this company were brilliant.
The guys that came out were very professional and really helpful with any information I asked or needed. Also cleaned up every little bit of mess that was created when work was being done.

The initial sales process with UK Solar Experts was impressive and persuasive. However, once the installation was complete, the customer support effectively disappeared. The primary focus seems to be on upselling rather than providing a quality, supportive service.
​My experience was unfortunately defined by a series of issues:
-​Initial solar panels estimates were miscalculated.
-​The installation date was repeatedly pushed back with little communication.
-​There was a significant lack of transparency regarding the true waiting time for the DNO application.
​We paid a premium price compared to other suppliers, expecting a superior service and product. Unfortunately, the service we received did not justify the cost. I saw similar 1-star reviews before signing up and made the mistake of ignoring them. I'm now regretting that decision.
​My advice to anyone considering this company: get at least 3-4 quotes from different suppliers. Be wary of a high-pressure sales pitch that tells you exactly what you want to hear.

The engineers that were fitting a battery and inverter were delayed (which happens) but then had problems with getting the system set up. They returned 3 working days later and again were running late but did resolve the problem. The engineers worked very hard, and Guy the main electrician installed to a very good standard and set up the app on my phone. Bethany and Dylan in the office were also very helpful and you do get through to the office quickly which is good.
Had there not been the delays in turning up there would have been 5 stars

They were informative and efficient, explaining the whole process from start to finish. Bethany and Dylan were there to take my calls and advise me when I felt unstuck during my wait for my certification and DNO.

Uk solar have been amazing, from starting the conversation to managing each stage, one of the best experiences with installation I have ever had. Also the installers Tom Brook and George Hearn are super nice guys and highly professional would recommend them 100%.

Painless,and fast install. Several options for an affordable system.The install guys know their stuff and run through and explain everything after commissioning. Thanks also to Bethany and Dylan from admin making sure all went smooth. Also 10 year support. What’s not to like?
