Just got my phone on a few hours ago went to check my data and instead of 10g there are only 5. Mind you I turn my data off after each internet search Etc I have been consistently having this problem since I started service with this company about 6 months ago. I called the company today to try and get my minutes straight after an hour and a half on hold they hung up on me. That was the last straw. Yep I'll be switching to another company

2026 06 05: New phone (14 DAYS OLD) is updating 2 to 3 times a day. The screen frequently freezes, after update, multiple reboots; multiple download/installs. How much data $ is this costing me? The BOTs in charge of phone and chat are better than a Pit Bull at keeping customers away. This is awful.

Been paying 10.99 now all the sudden plans 17$ no text call or email about an increase scammers

CUSTOMER SERVICE ON CHAT, PHONE, EMAIL SUCKS TO HELL!!! THEY ARE ALL IN THE BUSINESS OF STEALING YOUR PHONE THAT YOU ORDERED BUT WILL NEVER GET! THAT'S WHY I WAS NEVER EMAILED AN ID#, TRACKING NUMBER, SUMMARY OF PHONE CALL, NOTHING! THE DUMB IDIOT FAKE WORKERS GET AWAY WITH BEING RUDE, NASTY, AND OUTRIGHT STUPID IN SOLVING THE MOST MINIMAL PROBLEM BCUZ THE PHONE SERVICE IS FREE! I HAVE TO SWITCH! SINCE COVID THIS FAKE STUPID PHONE SERVICE HAVE BEEN NOTHING BUT SH@#!!! It's a shame wherever you go, do, etc. immoral, no conscientious, very uneducated animals STEAL and take what you've paid for and put the innocent, like myself in more turmoil for not having a necessity!

0 for customer service. Spent hours with customer service to no avail. I upgraded my phone with a service plan and charged accordingly. Then a few days ago I was charged again for a service plan.

If I can do a no star review I would. First I purchase this phone and had it for years. I turn it off because I wasn't really using it. My grandson turn 13 and I figure it would be a good birthday gift and he can keep in touch with his granny, I spoke with a rep and was told that I only had to have the phone turn on for 4 months and then I can have it unlock because I want to transfer it to my new provider. Well 4 months have pass and called them and now I am told that it will be a year before I can unlock the phone. That is a bunch of bull. The phone is paid for and it is a simple AO3. OLD PHONE!!!!!. i SAY GO SCREW IT AND I WILL BUY MY GRANDSON A IPHONE FROM THE PROVIDER I AM WITH AND ADD HIM TO MY ACCOUNT. STAY AWAY FROM TRACFONE.... THIS COMPANY LIES AND THE REP CAN'T GET THE LIES TOGETHER OR NO ONE IS TRAINING THEM AND ANYTHING GOES... VERY DISSAPPOINTED CUSTOMER......

Retired May 13th and no longer needed a full service cell service so decided to try Tracfone. Hadb Tracfone a few years ago and must've forgotten just horrid their service was/is. In 2019 I moved to a rural area and lost all signal from Tracfone and replaced with a full service provider. Purchased a $20.00 plan and a $4.99 SIM kit to keep phone and old number. Went to activate and they no record of the $20 plan. Over an hour on the phone (overseas) and just gave-up and requested a full refund from my Credt Card Co.

I was with TracFone until my phone battery died and won't charge back up so I replaced the phone with the same model but trying to activate it was IMPOSSIBLE!!! I tried to activate my new phone and they required the old phone SIM card number which I lost after returning the old phone so I tried to create a new account and I had to fill out the online form and one of the questions was my birthday and I put it in they said it was invalid, WHY IS THAT??

The ability to purchase plans has deteriorated over the years. Can't understand because purchasing is their money-maker. In the past, a simple text to 611611 gave a purchaser immediate assistance so that you could refill a plan in about 5 minutes. Now the service says "cannot fullfill for this device." The Tracfone app is difficult to get into and purchase, even after entering my correct phone number, serial number, and password. Then after going through entering purchase into the cart, the app won't allow the purchase to go through. The website functions the same way. Finally, I had to go to the 4th and last resort, their chat service, which now is extremely slow since it appears that their chat staff has been cut, and it appears that one staff member is now dealing with about 3 customers at the same time. What was usually a purchase time of about 5 minutes took me 40 minutes to complete today. This company had a good thing going in the past, but customer service and purchasing ability has dropped considerably. I will be looking into a more reliable phone service.

I bought their phone online over 2yrs ago and didnt know it was locked and sent to my son in Ghana. Unfortunately it was locked and returned to me in US. I contacted customer service and was advised to activate and paid for 60 days (2 months) service ending 05/20/2026, of which I will pay the difference to make one year and that i can return the phone to my son and call them on said date.
On 05/20/2026, they refused to take the money difference to unlock the phone, asking me to contact my son to return the phone again to US for it to be used.
I'm really offended and have had a very bad experience and DO NOT recommend any user to go for tracfone. It took me more than an hour to get to live agent.

If I could have given this woman from TracFone a zero I would. All we wanted to do was change our phone number and she put us through all these hoops and loops and doing it and wasted our time and kept coming back and putting us on hold it was the worst customer service ever but I guess they don't care who they hire. And then we got Louie he was nice to speak to but kept us on the phone and only at the very end found out that for this month we're not capable of changing the phone number. We are getting a lot of spam on the phone numbers we have changed to and that's why we wanted to change it. Anyway though phone service at TracFone is an absolute zero. That's what it's disintegrated down to and we've had them for years and it wasn't like this. Another failure 🤬

Avoid TRACFONE!! They deleted about 65 Gig of my data after I requested a transfer pin to go to another cell provider. They did this 4 days prior to my contract end date. 3 separate service reps committed to restore the data but did not. I had to return home on 3.5 hour travel with no GPS.

I have a BLU 1550VL trac phone not sure how someone is accessing my phone but they do regularly i have tried everything not sure how their doing it i have notified Cyber Crime division of the FBI and the carrier and they sent me a really outdated phone so no help there so be careful with tracphones

Mr. Ko aka sdngr refused to assist me open my I Phone for over 30 minutes then attempted to sell a sim card as a lifeline chip was already assigned to me one month ago thru US mail service and Ms. Ko aka sdngr refused to confirm the address of the chips destination, so I cannot retrieve the sim card

Very poor performance. Something as simple as copying a url to paste it somewhere else turns into a 20 minute ordeal because of the sloppy confusing poorly designed interface. The geniuses at Google Chrome thought it was smart to make the device pull up a google search bar when you tap the URL to copy it.

I’ve used tracfone for 6 years. Purchased a new phone through tracfone. Tried to get old number transferred to new phone. Started with the 611611 which they advise you to use. Tried 4 times. Ended up calling, after 3rd attempt finally got a heavily accented person with so much background noise from the calling center. This process took over 2 hours. So much frustration.
Like most all reviews if you need something help is almost nonexistent.
Terrible awful customer service. Do not sign up with them.

Roadblocks to cancellation of service highly deceptive. The vendor contact number posted on my credit card lead to "Page+ cellular", not Tracfone.

Calling Tracfone customer service directly gets you to "virtual assistant" who is of no help with no option to speak to a representative.

My Tracfone was lost or stolen.
So I don''t have the phone nor any information about the phone, and without phone info tracfone will not cancel my subscription.
Continued to get montly charges for 6 months.
(I guess burner phones are popular with drug dealers who aren't likely to call customer support?)

Making a phone call is like playing Russian roulette.
95% of the time my phone calls are limited to "emergency calls" ONLY! I've got months long text fixes with their totally useless customer service. This is the end of them for me. I just smashed their useless phone off the garage floor. 5/9/26. Avoid this company like the plague. They were good for a few years. Now forget about them.

Xtremely long waits. A challenge to understand reps with obvious language barriers. Refusal to transfer to a US or Canadian location with English speaking reps. Trac Phone caused horrific billing and account problems, causing me to lose service. Trac Phone withdrew consistent monthly payments, but turned it around to say I am a new customer, after five years and doubled my monthly service cost. Trac phone operates like seasoned scam artists and refuses to work in good faith with the customer. It is totally deliberate by trained reps to wear your patience down and give up. They act like felon con artists.

The app is so bad. Not user friendly at all,just keeps giving a error sign,it does what it wants,seems like it takes over on its own. So buggy. Real difficult to put add ons .please put it back the way it was.
