I received an online quote which I was happy with. Customer service was excellent
I received an online quote which I was happy with. I then had to phone to verify a few things. At that stage it appeared that my secondary driver had no been put on the new insurance . It was all sorted satisfactorily.
It would be good if the quotes took all the information from the current insurance but as it was sorted to my satisfaction I have no complaints, just observations.

SCAM – AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!
If I could give zero stars, I would.
I insured a new van recently and paid a £500 deposit. Straight after paying, my policy was nowhere to be found. I called them and even they couldn’t locate it at first. After being passed around about 9 different people, they finally found it and said they’d send everything over.
Then I realised I needed to declare a cracked window. I asked them to add it and just tell me the difference in price… and was quoted £8,000 A YEAR (when my original policy was £1,800). Absolutely ridiculous.
So I went online myself, entered the exact same details, and it only increased by about £30 a month. I asked for my £500 deposit back so I could redo it properly. Lady on the phone made a huge fuss, telling me not to pay that as it’s not true, and a wrong quote and it should be way more than that for my age. Eventually after a massive fuss from her. She agreed and said it would be refunded the same day. Which I found weird anyways, as that’s very fast!
Next day comes along… nothing, NO refund! Of course.
Next next day I called again. The guy couldn’t “find” my payment (same issue as before), then suddenly found it when I pushed. Again, I was promised a refund by 5pm, and he was very very sketchy! I said, the lady last time also told me that I would receive it the same day. He goes ummm yeh, we are experiencing a high volume of refund so it’s talking longer with yours, but I promise it will be done by 5pm today. So I said, that’s very strange you’re dealing with a lot of refunds for an insurance company?? And then if I don’t get my refund, what shall I do?
He kept on saying, you’ll get it. I promise. Over and over again and I shouldn’t use my bank as I’ll get the refund. I said ok we will see.
6pm came and went… still no refund.
Now they’re closed, I’m £500 down, and I’ve had to raise a dispute with my bank just to get my money back.
Constant lies, being passed around, and empty promises. Avoid this company completely.

Van Beware, not Van Compare.
When it comes to renewing your policy, you're sent a new quote. Well that's good isn't it? Not if you don't want it because it's extremely difficult to cancel and no one answers the phone, there's no email response and no complaints service, that you can get in touch with that is. You'll spend hours on the phone because no one answers. The AI chat is useless, as is the portal. There's no cancellation option on there.
What they are good at is debiting your account, in my case 16 days before the insurance was actually due. Try and get a refund and you'll encounter a system that makes it extremely difficult to do. It was necessary to go to the Insurance Ombudsman to get a number (01483260400) that somebody answered the phone. Unbelievable. I'm awaiting a refund, which apparently was processed, although the amount shown on the useless portal is much less than what was taken. So I'm unsure whether I will receive a full refund. Avoid this Insurance broker at all costs because when things go wrong you'll have a nightmare getting them resolved.

Not really an online purchase.
Completed online form which is pretty detailed. Then had to call them to verify all the details I had just entered online. This call took more than 20mins and no changes were made from the information they already had. This call ended abruptly after the end of a recorded message and there was no conclusion as to what happens next. I had to call again to confirm that the policy would be agreed. 10 minutes later I had another call from them, asking me if I wanted to buy van insurance. Never had this from any other insurer.
Edit. After writing the above review, I had another three calls from them trying to sell the same.
