Just lately our taxi service via Veezu hasn't been good. Whilst always having previously booked our taxis from home to St Neots railway station with Veezu, twice now we have experienced having to chase up because taxi hasn't arrived at booked time and on Monday 13th July at 10.00 I was told there was nothing available to honour our booking. I believe it is now up to individual drivers to pick up jobs as and when they want to. Obviously this isn't a reliable way to run a taxis service. I presume the same would happen if we were to book a taxi to airport run?

Booked a taxi 3 days in advance and when I checked the app it was still searching for drivers after the appointed time. Tried to call the number and this was not answered. Very poor service.
Luckily, Uber came to our rescue.
Robbing liars
Robbing liars - do not use this taxi service they are absolute robbers. Myself and my friend shared a taxi locally in Horsforth a couple of miles apart. The fare should only of been around £17 in total. I was dropped first and gave the driver £30 by accident. He dropped my friend off and gave no change. I called the office up twice they took details and said they would check with the driver and would call back next day. Waited 3 days and no call - called them a 2nd time and they said they would speak to the accounts dept . A few days later the accounts dept sent me an invoice for the amount of £17 but still I had no refund!!!!!Do not trust this taxi firm or drivers they take the piss… !!!! They don’t even deserve one star….
Will never use again
Will never use again. Driver took me home. I had trouble getting their payment app to work. Driver made it much worse by getting impatient and muttering incoherantly. They are apparently incapable of taking card payment. Driver then insisted on taking me to a distant cash machine (that also charged for withdrawals). He then demanded that I pay him five pounds more than the charge and seemed to say he was going to leave me standing there. However, I got back in the taxi. I made it clear I would pay the charge quoted for the ride home when he got me there. He then drove me miles further away and left me stranded. Even so the uber back was less than he demanded and came promptly.and that driver was polite and coherant.
Advance booking does not guarantee a taxi will arrive even if you are catching a train or flight!
Booked taxi over 12 hours in advance to travel from home to Cambridge Railway Station. Driver was 10 minutes late. When I telephoned Veezu they said it was because they didn't have a driver. No-one told me when I booked it that there might not be a driver. When the driver finally appeared he explained that when you book a taxi these days there is no guarantee that it will arrive. The driver might cancel it at the last minute if a better paid job comes up. This makes an absolute mockery of the booking system and is totally unacceptable. My 90 year old mother (who obviously cannot run down the train platform!) was upset and stressed at us nearly missing the train.
I will never, ever book with Veezu again!
I have repeatedly used Veezu in Bath…
I have repeatedly used Veezu in Bath because they apparently took over the local cab firm (which was really good) and there was little other choice; they are unreliable and expensive. Typically 2 out of five bookings don't happen which is extremely annoying and costly if you are going to catch a train or plane. They bin the bookings at the last minute, change drivers 2 or 3 times before cancelling. It is not a service it's a scam to extract money from customers and drivers even though some drivers say it convenient for them - hey guess what us passengers are the customers and you're the service provides - is not for your convenience. Typical app solving a problem that didn't exist and charging the customers for nothing. What is the point of a booking if it's not a booking FFS !!!!!! AVOID VEEZU - it's rubbish!
Ordered a taxi - drivers cancelling
Ordered a taxi - app said it would take 20 min, we were happy to wait.3 drivers were allocated our request each one cancelled the booking. In the end we gave up.
VEEZU EXCESSIVE CHARGING
I am writing this review to complain about the fare I was charged for my recent journey with Veezu.
I was charged £18.90, for the same trip going back home later in the evening after being charged£10.10 for the trip going out! which I believe the latter trip was excessive. When I contacted thier call centre to query the fare, I was told the higher price was because they were busy due to the England match. I do not consider this to be an acceptable explanation or justification for charging customers more.
The response I received was dismissive and failed to address my concerns properly. Customers should be made aware in advance if fares are likely to increase because of demand, rather than being given this explanation after the journey.
I asked for a full explanation of how the £18.90 fare was calculated and for them to review whether this charge was fair.
Kept adding extra cost to prices
I phoned to book a taxi for a long journey whist without me realising someone was on a different line to them also trying to help me book a taxi. They told the other person my taxi would cost £117 and on my phone call it was £120.20, the other line was quickly hung up when they realised that quote was less and I agreed to go ahead. I got in the taxi and was sent a link to pay, they had added another £2.50 on the price without even telling me or giving me a reason! The journey was now £122.70! By that point I didn’t really have much choice but pay, I personally think this is disgraceful and they totally took advantage of the vulnerable situation I found myself in due to a car breakdown! They really need to have structured, clear and honest pricing! The driver himself was pleasant enough and is the only reason I gave 2 stars and not one!
Embargoed and cancelled
Booked a taxi to go to Barnsley A&E, had to repeatedly state house number which the operator constantly got wrong, the taxi, turned up to the wrong house number, as seen on the tracking, phoned them back up to correct this to be told my address was embargoed, no explanation, and then received a message to say it had been cancelled as the driver couldn't find me. As it turned out I'm glad they did cancel, as the other company I used was half the price, and told this to the driver I had who worked for both companies, and went above and beyond to help me in my difficulties.
Left for over a hour with my 12 year old
So me my daughter came back from London after a gig we booked the taxi for 1.35 waited a hour called and got told just wait! then spoke to drivers with 99 percent pleasant but was faced with abrupt attitude got told to get away from one female taxi driver with her getting irritated by asking all the normal questions and ending up with her getting very frustrated at me so and saying get away!! no help at all. there was an elderly woman that had waited for over an hour and a half and other vulnerable people waiting with no information given on time scale just got told wait. I don't believe a taxi firm should be taking the booking and leaving their customers for an hour or an hour and a half, I understand this was a busy time however the attitude and what I was faced with I found disgusting people who had booked taxis waiting for hours and some having to get friends or family out and cancelling taxis other people trying to stay awake anyways my driver was absolutely lovely very talkative and explained how busy they were and was a good smooth quick driver, i do understand it's not the driver's fault and it's the company however leaving vulnerable adults, children in the cold late at night with no way of getting home except from the taxi what's not turned up for an hour I find absolutely disgusting due
Out of their depth
Out of their depth. Genuinely think they aren’t aware of what they are doing. I would never recommend Veezu Telford or surrounding areas to take care of your ride.
My pregnant wife was isolated after Veezu kept cancelling their rides. What a sham and shame on you Veezu Telford!!!!
Ordered a pick up for 18:00
Ordered a pick up for 18:00. No show. By 18:10 said on my app ETA 1 minute. Still no show. By 18:25 I called office. Said sorry you will have to wait longer! Don’t bother had to let family members down over getting to location over this. Also there was no contact from the driver to explain delay despite my number being present.

I will never be a Veezu customer again…
I will never be a Veezu customer again after today! I booked a taxi from Veezu for a quoted £26, as this was cheaper than all other options at the time. When the driver arrived I got in the car and noticed that the drivers phone had £30.60 displayed on the screen but I assumed that was the previous fare. When I arrived at my destination I covered I had in fact been charged £30.60 and at no point had I been informed of an increase, even though it happened before the journey even started, and I want given the opportunity to turn down the job at the new price, which I would have done as that immediately made Veezu the most expensive option. I contacted Veezu via the feedback form and they blamed it on surge pricing, said it was an industry standard, and refused to do anything else. However this is more lies, surge pricing is not an industry standard, it's the unethical and morally bankrupt method introduced by the likes of Uber and analyst companies do no such pricing. Also, the companies that do use surge pricing don't apply it AFTER a fare is agreed and I have just confirmed this one the phone with Uber. Even surge pricing is applied it's at the point of agreement of service, any other price increases are for traffic or waiting times only. I'm reporting this to the licensing office of the local council and trading it to trading standards too. You've lost a customer who has used the service even before Veezu took it over the business from City Cars, for decades, and you've destroyed it in a few years and left me simply feeling stolen from!
No good customer service
In the past are ok show up late but I am retired and no need to rush customer service is shit. They don't care because they are in India. Local mean local.

Awful service 50 minutes late for pick up after repeated phone calls saying only minutes away. Car was smelly and dirty . No apologies for being late and felt really awkward during journey. Worst experience ever with taxi service.Shrewsbury office
Incompetence With Real Consequences
Veezu’s incompetence caused my partner to miss a medical appointment he’d waited three months for. I booked the taxi by phone, confirmed every detail, and still the service fell apart.
The taxi didn’t show up. When chased 10 minutes after the agreed time, we were told the driver was “outside the house.” He wasn’t.
Next call: the driver claimed he was “at the bottom of the road.” We were already halfway down the road — still no sign of him.
Another call later, we were told he was actually at the destination, meaning the booking had been completely messed up.
This wasn’t a minor inconvenience -it was a serious failure that forced a medical appointment to be rearranged. Absolutely disgraceful service.
Disrespectful Drivers
Driver shouted at me due to a late payment with the company fault of sending the payment link late.
Drivers do not know how to respect passengers
It was a shame to be shouted in front of my neighbour houses. I feel shame.
