Shocking company!
Have taken 3 x payments from my mother in law who is a pensioner, leaving her unable to purchase essential shopping! When in car driver told her payments hadn’t gone through and to try another machine (his machine) all 3 payments taken!! Absolute scammer!
Fill in customer service form and hear nothing back, impossible to find somebody to speak to!!

Absolutely awful, totally unreliable. The drivers are pleasant and the vehicles clean but the booking service appalling. I will never use them again. They made me miss my doctors appointment. They never turned up, when I rang them, (they had not rung me to explain anything) they said it was because it was a shared ride. I had booked 2 days earlier, they accepted my booking and they never mentioned anything about that. Hideous experience.

Used this company in Cambridge at the weekend. Pre booked my collection after a night out. Taxi ended up being an hour late. When I called them to ask where the taxi was they said they were busy. No excuse as my taxi was pre booked. Won’t use them again

Had an appalling experience with a driver: hottest day of the year but cited it was ‘too expensive to turn on the ac’, he continually burped throughout the journey- which you can imagine was exacerbated by the heat, and then continued to complain about driving to the drop off point. Upon complaining about what was obviously poor service, I was told that my complaint was ‘unverifiable’. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID. Uber is a much better alternative and a company which wouldn’t accept offering a sub-par service; this is definitely not the case for veezu.

Booked a taxi in Ipswich for a worker to get in, booked it one hour in advance, when the car failed to turn up, I called (it was booked through their App) and was told that they don't have any cars at this time, they also told me I booked it for 09:17 and so it was in their time slot. I booked it for 09:05 and said no one books for 17 minutes past the hour. This is a clear case of over promising and under delivering, it took well over an hour and the taxi never arrived, I ended up cancelling and booking an Uber which turned up in 8 minutes. Such a shame, used to be excellent when it was Avenue, sadly now terrible service.

Couldn't get my usual taxi and needed to get my cat to the vets. Ended up booking with Veezu. I explained where I wanted to go and why and was quoted £8.40. At drop off I was told it was £13.40 (was told by a very abrasive, grumpy driver that this has because they don't add the pet until pick up??).

Got my usual taxi coming home, they charged me £7.50!!

Avoid this company. Drivers have no people skills and prices go up on route.

The worst taxi service in the entire universe.
Pathetic 😡. I have to wait 40 minutes then I have to cancel it as they didn't turn up.
No punctually. No response to customers and the poorest customer service.

Pre booked 2 taxis 4 days in advance for an event we were going to, one to take us and one to pick us up. The one to take us was 20 minutes late and kept dropping drivers they found. When they turned up the driver said they weren’t really coming to our area due to road closures. Again we pre booked 4 days ago!! The one to pick us up was still searching for a driver for 40 minutes. 2 phone calls and still no driver. I was told it was a busy time of night due to the event. We at that point were the only ones waiting.

What’s the point in pre booking if no driver is allocated to the booking. In the end I cancelled and got a uber. This is a joke of a company

Completely unreliable—do not trust advance bookings!I booked a taxi two days in advance for a 12:30 AM journey, and it completely failed to show up. Booking forty-eight hours early is meant to guarantee peace of mind, but instead, I was left stranded late at night. Absolute failure of service. If you need reliable transport, look elsewhere.

I pre booked taxis for 20 people 3 months in advance and called to confirm the booking 2 days before. On the day, just one car was sent (for 20 people!) and it was 20 minutes late. When I called to find out where the other cars were, some were then dispatched but I was told they would take another 25 minutes to arrive making us over half an hour late for a reservation.

This is not the first time veezu has let me down. I won’t use them again! Unfortunately they are not reliable.

I booked this taxi back in September for a journey in July because I was travelling with my elderly mother and needed to make sure everything was organised well in advance. I phoned four separate times to confirm the booking and was reassured each time that it was all arranged.

On the night of the booking, the taxi simply didn’t turn up. When I contacted them, I was told it was a busy event weekend. That was exactly why I had booked almost 10 months in advance.

What’s the point of booking ahead and repeatedly confirming if the booking isn’t going to be honoured? Leaving customers stranded at the last minute is completely unacceptable, especially when an elderly passenger is involved.

Extremely disappointing and unreliable service.

Avoid avoid avoid

***AVOID AT ALL COSTS*** If I could give minus stars, I would. I booked a Veezu cab to pick myself and my wife up to catch a pre-booked train to an airport for a flight. I made the booking with the drop-off time as the limiting factor. My booking was accepted and I was sent a confirmation message. The night before the pick-up I was sent another confirmation with an ETA 'til the pick-up the following morning. All very positive so far. On the morning in question I got confirmation of the ETA via the app. The pick-up time came and went. I phoned Veezu and they advised me that the driver was just around the corner and had transposed the last two letters of my post code...OK, right village, wrong road. "He'll be with you in a couple of minutes". Another 10mins passed and the app now showed 'searching for vehicle'. I rang Veezu again, spoke to a different operator who told me that, as it was very busy, they were struggling to find a car to accept my journey!!!! Fortunately, a friend saved the day and got us to the station in time. Veezu are a dishonest shambles. Avoid at all costs.

Recently I have used the app to book my taxi and I have selected "cash" as the payment option, but the company still reserves the funds on my credit card.
Then when I call the company to ask then to release the funds they said they can't I need to wait a week.
Last week I had to order a new credit card to stop the payment and report it as fraud to the bank, now I have to do it again.
I would not recommend entering your payment details into their system.

I booked a taxi 4 days in advance. 20 minutes before the taxi was due they called to say the app ‘has a glitch’ and charged me £10 more than the quoted fare. I paid £27 there and £37.90 back. When I complained, the driver and then controller became aggressive and made up false facts. This is a mafia firm abs should be avoided at all costs. They are ruining taxi companies over a wide geography and committing fraud.

Sometimes they turn up and sometimes they can’t be bothered. I try my hardest not to give taxi drivers my money as they’re stealing a living really.

Also what’s with accepting bookings then waiting 5 minutes to cancel them and let people just sit around.

I pre-booked a taxi two days in advance because I needed to be confident that transport was arranged.

On the morning of my journey, just 10 minutes before the scheduled pickup time, the app showed that no car had been assigned. I called their office and was told that no vehicles were available for my booking and that someone would call me back with an update. That call never came.

When I raised a complaint, the response was that pickup times are only estimates and that self-employed drivers are free to decline bookings and return them to dispatch.

This completely defeats the purpose of offering a pre-booking service. If a booking made two days in advance provides no guarantee that a driver will actually be available, then what value does pre-booking offer customers?

Based on this experience, I see no reason to pre-book with Veezu in the future. Uber would likely have been cheaper and, judging by this experience, no less reliable.

Veezu Portsmouth: This company is a disgrace.
Booked a taxi at 8.05. Phoned again at 8.25 because no show up and they say a taxi will be there in 5 minutes. I phoned again at 8.35, they said they were rebooking a taxi. This is unbelievable. Never experienced such poor service by a taxi company.
Finally the taxi arrived at 8.55 !!!!
