Charged £9 more than I have ever paid for same journey.

Arranged for a taxi from my sisters house to home. I asked if I was able to bring my small dog into the taxi whilst we were on the phone and was told “yes, no problem!” Taxi came but on arrival I was told the price had gone up due to me having the dog. So paid 14.70 which is robbery as I have never been charged more than 5.70 for a taxi in the last five years for the same journey. Have complained and told customer services will get back to me.

Do not trust these to turn up when pre…

Do not trust these to turn up when pre booked. Car was 2 mins away then cancelled and took another 45 mins to get a taxi. After many promises of it is 10 mins away.
They do not take any responsibility or ownership and all drivers are self employed and can cancel on you on a whim. Veezu don’t care about the customer just the money regardless of where it comes from pre booked or not.
They should have their licence revoked.

Rubbish avoid

Rubbish avoid! Look at the reviews; they will leave you stranded in an area you don't know! Booked a taxi with 20 minutes' notice in Barry, waited another 20 minutes, then another 20 minutes, got called to be told it could be another 20 minutes. No wonder more people are using Uber. Absolute rubbish, avoid

Pants service, avoid just use Uber …

Booked a taxi at 3pm for 8:45am the next day, as wasn’t able to drive to a training course myself due to having taken medication for a dental procedure.
No-one had turned up, so by 8:55 I called and was told the taxi was on its way and would be 5 minutes. Nothing by 9:05, so I called again was told the taxi was at my house! Spoke to a variety of people on the phone as it kept cutting out, the lines were awful. I kept asking for them to slow down because if this but no luck. After several calls I managed to speak to someone I could actually hear, who told me it was the “driver partners” fault. Taxi finally arrived at 9:26, the drive was only given the job at 9:05!
Pants service- don’t waste your time!

Rang them Tue 2nd June to book a early…

Rang them Tue 2nd June to book a early taxi for long awaited hospital appointment on Wed 2nd for 9.20 am- Gave the address to the guy on the phone, Westward One trading Estate M50 - He said yes all booked. Taxi turned up at 8.35 but after many times telling him this was not the way to Salford/Eccles - He took me to a trading estate at Whalley range - my husband tracked my phone, he could see I was going round in circles. At one point he turned into a Shell petrol station. Driver then says it's only his 2nd day working for VEEZU - eventually I got there 9.18 - 2 mins to spare as I would have lost my appointment. I was so upset & shaking. Booked in and then went back out to pay via credit card. Upon getting home, checked my credit card. The £14.10 agreed fee they had taken £25.42 from my credit card. Never asked - I will be contacting my credit card people - Taxi home was with VEEZU before I knew about how much they had charged me. I told the taxi driver about this and he said he should have doubled checked the address with you before setting off. Taxi home same company was £11.70 but £25.42 to get there!!!

charged for 'no show'

I booked a taxi yesterday at Luton Airport. The app told me the driver would arrive in 8 minutes, so i immediately started walking with my bags to the pick-up/drop-off parking area.

Since i was rushing through the airport with luggage, i didn't hear my phone ring. However, when i reached the parking area, just 3 minutes later, was greeted with a notification from Veezu informing me that my booking had been cancelled due to a "no show."

Apparently, managing to arrive at the designated pick-up point within 3 minutes somehow qualifies as not showing up. Even more impressively, i was still charged the full fare and, of course, received no refund.

Despite booking 24 hours in advance my…

Despite booking 24 hours in advance my taxi was 55 minutes late.after many calls asking where it was and getting “We are waiting for an empty one in your area”
Never how long would it be. I eventually found a very expensive way to catch my coach and will never be using Veezu again. The same thing on the same day at a very similar time happened to two other people. We both have text evidence should anyone wish to dispute our claims
This company’s reputation in Norwich is dreadful and fully earned. You have been warned.

I have used these people for some…

I have used these people for some time.. they are more expensive than uber and bolt however they are reliable.. but this evening one of there drivers proved himself a cheat... most expensive journey home ever... i will be checking his license. Very disapointing.. however greedy nasty people are every where. So be aware.. sonetimes fixed fares are best...

Taxi never arrived.

I needed a taxi immediately for an appointment at 2pm because my car broke down,so I called Veezu at 13.43,a text said the car was coming. I waited until 2pm,no taxi. I tried to call to cancel and explain, which proved difficult to get past the voicemail process. After 30 minutes I finally got through to the office .
I now have to pay for my missed salon appointment because the taxi never arrived.
Years ago City Taxis and Network taxis were very reliable companies,on time, caring and helpful.
Please Veezu, will you update your taxi service to a prompt and reliable one?

Despite booking the trip the day…

Despite booking the trip the day before, the taxi failed to show. I'd had two emails and also a text on the morning. I phoned and got an outsourced operators tell me 'there were no drivers so nothing I could do.' She then advised I cancelled to get a refund as 'it isn't turning up.' Gave one star as the wasn't an option for 'zero.' Fraudulent booking taken if there was no drivers booked on the job at the time.

Disappointing experience with reliability and communication

We booked four taxis days in advance and received confirmation, but the execution on the day was highly unreliable. Only one vehicle arrived on time. Two arrived 15 minutes late, and the fourth never showed up at all, causing significant disruption to our plans. When I called to ask where the missing vehicles were, I was told they were being "located for availability." This raises the question: what is the purpose of pre-ordering days in advance if a vehicle isn't actually allocated and ready at the agreed time?

Additionally, there seems to be an issue with how the company communicates its payment processes. We used the text payment link provided upon getting into the cars, but the drivers were visibly upset with us for using this method, explaining they don't receive the funds for five days. If a payment method causes friction for your drivers, that needs to be made clear to the customer at the time of booking, rather than making passengers feel uncomfortable during the journey. We will not being using this taxi service again.

Rubbish service absolutely shocking

Absolutely rubbish been let down on numerous occasions they allocate you a car then the drivers keep cancelling the allocation you wait ages for then to allocate you another driver and the same happens over and over again quicker and cheaper to get the bus

No driver show.

Oh dear - having just read the latest reviews from other customers of Veezu it's obvious I should have checked Trustpilot before booking! I pre-booked a taxi 7 days in advance using the App to take me to Manchester Airport at 3:15am (flight due to depart at 5:30am). They took a deposit from me which confirmed the booking. On the day concerned he App showed the driver was on his way and it counted down to zero minutes, but no driver showed. I waited a few minutes and we tried to contact other taxi firms but at that time of the morning were unsuccessful. Panicking somewhat as we had to get to the airport for our pre paid holiday I managed to get in touch with Veezu on the phone. I asked where the driver was only to be told that there was no driver available due to the Eid celebrations and the weather. When I said that I had pre booked, and suggested that if they knew that then they should have contacted me to enable us to make alternative arrangements, all I got was an apology. Disgraceful. I will never use this company again

Amber cars (Veezu) has gone down the toilet…

Amber cars has gone down the toilet since becoming part of Veezu. Over 40 minutes waiting for a car this morning, watching on the app as the job was allocated and the drivers kept on refusing it. I ended up missing and having to pay for an appointment I could not make.

This is not the first time either, in fact this is a regular occurence with this company. The last several journeys I have attempted to book with this company have been the same experience.

After nearly 30 years of using Amber, I will now be looking for alternative transport. Though given this company appears to own all the private hires in Leeds these days, that will be harder that it seems.

Stop using this company and drive it into the ground. They do not care about customer service, so let the company fail and a new, better one come up to replace it.
