Sadly we did not have a good experience…

Sadly we did not have a good experience with Veezu. I booked a taxi from St Helens to Warrington on Saturday afternoon. It was very difficult to communicate but thought I had booked one taxi as requested. Two taxis arrived for our outward bound journey instead of one. The return journey was also frought with miscommunication but to be fair we were surprised the driver waited to collect us. We booked again via the app for Sunday afternoon. The driver was over 10 minutes late picking us up with no apology. The car had inadequate air conditioning on such warm day and even though we arrived at our destination we missed part of the act we were due to see because of the delay in collecting us.
The return journey was booked through the app and pre paid. We had no reason to doubt the taxi would arrive as expected. Extremely disappointed to find the return taxi had been cancelled with no explanation. When we called the response was to inform us they did not pick up from Warrington. A absolute down right lie when they picked us up the previous evening. If Warrington was not a place to pick up from, why was it accepted via the app and allowed to be paid for at 11 ish on Sunday morning and only cancelled at 21:30 that evening. We were left stranded, absolutely no customer service or apology and they tried to gain a further payment. Absolutely zero customer care, safeguarding or responsibility for their actions. In my opinion they should be struck off ever being allowed to supply taxis going forward. An absolute disgrace to the professionalism of decent hard working taxi drivers. We managed to get a fantastic uber driver who picked us up at the time they said they would in a very well maintained car. WE WILL NOT USE VEEZU AGAIN!

Taxi didn't arrive

Taxi booked and confirmed the day before. The app showed a car getting closer but it never arrived. When I rang they claimed there was no car allocated to me. Had to wait 20 minutes for a replacement. Nowhere near good enough. Surely a basic for any taxi service is for a car to turn up!

The drivers were late and doing…

The drivers were late and doing cancellations on the phone doesn't work. The 2 drivers we did have were very polite and very apologetic, however the dispatchers are overloading the drivers. I had prebooked the taxis and they late for pick up both times. Cost was acceptable just the timings were terrible. The 3rd driver that I had cancelled was rude because the cancellation didn't go onto the system. Not my problem he didn't need to be rude to me.

Driver picked us up made it clear that he did not approve of gay people will definitely never use you again, I use thos service a lot with the people I support but no more I will find an alternative taxi firm. Crap service appalling attitude

The Great Customer Service Swindle

Expensive and unreliable. I use taxis every day and lately I tried veezu. I cannot count the number of taxis that have apparently been in there way to me and cancelled while I'm standing waiting for them. Some get within 100 yards and then cancel, with no explanation or apology.

The taxi drivers are generally talkative and polite but as veezu customer service always likes to tell you "the taxi drivers are self employed, they don't work for us"

Isn't that a convenient way of not dealing with serious complaints?

It's just an app. A rubbish app with rubbish maps.

I'll be sticking with my local taxi firm from now on!

Zero rating for a no show

If I could give a zero star rating I would because no one showed up. When booking, payment is taken and thus one assumes therefore a car will arrive at the alloted and predetermined time. When the time approached I thought I would be able to check the location of the car that I assumed would be en-route to pick us up. To my horror I see a car is not yet even allocated. Never again. The booking system is flawed. Customers should be advised immediately if a car in not available when the advanced booking is made.

Absolutely awful company

Absolutely awful company. DO NOT USE. Taxi booked a week in advance for a trip to catch train. Taxi didn't show up and a phone call 20 mins after the booked time to say they couldn't do booking. Train missed and this all bookings made in London missed. Lost over £300

Absolute rip off

Absolute rip off, went the longest way possible way home, tried to charge way over the odds for journey. Avoid this company at all costs, badge number was Bridgend County Council 130, tried to complain over phone, were not interested. Driver would not accept card payment, told us to get cash out then meter was way above what he said as he took longest route possible to my address. RIP off do not use.?

1 star for turning up. What a terrible.service this is driver couldn't speak English then rang the office and that wasn't any better. Will never use them again telling me farewell are now fixed prices never again hope they go bust

Booked a taxi over an hour in advance, 1 allocated then cancelled 2nd allocated then cancelled, 3rd offered 45 minutes after I needed it. Telephone service incompetent. What is the point of offering pre booking than doesn’t work?

Failed to turn up

Failed to turn up. When I called to ask why, the operator said the ride was not yet assigned. Only after I had called was the driver dispatched. Too late for me as I needed to be at an important appointment. Kind neighbours are more reliable.

Appalling! Terrible start to our holiday.

Today, our experience with Veezu was completely unacceptable.

Travelling to the airport is stressful enough without having to worry about whether your pre-booked taxi will actually arrive on time.

I booked an estate car two weeks in advance. At 2:50 pm today, I received a text message confirming that the car was being dispatched for our 15.00pm booking. Shortly after 15.00pm, I received a call from a taxi driver informing me that he had only just been assigned the job and would not arrive for another 40 minutes.

I then contacted your head office and was told that your drivers are self-employed and bid for jobs on the day. This is simply not good enough. If drivers are only offered pre-booked jobs at the last minute and are free to accept or decline them, then your so-called “pre-booking” airport service where you add an option to book on the phone simply doesn’t exist and offers no real guarantee at all.

The job then had to be reassigned to another driver, and we were eventually picked up 1 hour and 20 minutes after our scheduled booking time. Pick up time now 16.22pm

To make matters worse, because of the delay we were caught in a complete standstill on the M25, turning what should have been a two-hour journey into a journey of more than five hours. Had we been collected at the agreed time, we would have avoided this traffic disruption entirely and it wouldn’t have held up the driver we were given. If we had been travelling to catch a flight that same evening, we would have missed that flight.

No customer should have to deal with this level of anxiety when travelling to the airport. When I spoke to your head office, I was repeatedly told that they were “trying their best.” There was apology, but no real acceptance of responsibility for what has happened nor an offer for a manager to follow up.

If no driver had accepted our booking, why were we not informed well in advance? What is the point of pre-booking a taxi if you only discover at the scheduled pickup time whether anyone is willing to take the job?

I also feel for the driver who eventually accepted the journey. He was professional and did his best in difficult circumstances, and he too deserves to be compensated for being put in this position.

This service was extremely disappointing and far below acceptable standards. As a result, I have cancelled my return journey with Veezu and will instead use my regular taxi company, A1 Cars Bedford, who have brilliant customer service and have never let us down.

I strongly suggest that Veezu reconsiders its business model if it allows customers to be treated this way. Advertising a pre-booked airport transfer service is misleading when, in reality, there is no guarantee that a driver will be available when promised.

Taxi booked for train station

Ordered a taxi for Norwich train station and another one for our return journey as went to London for the day.
Both taxis were on time. Drivers very polite and taxis very clean.
Good communication with the booking reasonable prices and opted to pay cash so we could also tip the drivers. Have used before due to good service

One star is way too much!

One star is way too much!
Rude drivers, who can’t find the correct address. One actually argued with me over my address and postcode!
The final straw was not turning up for a pre booked taxi… resulting in missing a train!
Not even an apology!
Avoid this company!
It’s such a shame…. They used to be so good!
Maybe employ better drivers!
And call centre staff who take the initial booking and complaints!

DO NOT USE THIS FIRM. pre booked a taxi for emergency dental appointment this afternoon. Never showed up. I phoned twice and was told both times it was 5 minutes away. Total lies.Missed important appointment.

1 is being generous. Waste of time, operators can’t be honest despite you booking a taxi a hour in advance ( my car was in garage, needed to get to work and kids to school) it took two hours after pre booking for anyone to even show up and operators just keep telling you we work through a ‘service’ despite me booking in an hour before wanting to travel. Worst company ever
