While recognizing this is designed as a cheap alternative to having a lawyer create a will, I would have expected it would inquire as to more details, descriptions and thought. This took me approximately 2 minutes to complete. I would have expected more questions and prompts to create a thoughtful and detailed plan.

Wished the templates gave more options
Wished the templates gave more options. For example, this is my strategy: To designate beneficiaries in your will, you can follow these steps:
Primary Beneficiaries: Start by naming your two sons as primary beneficiaries. They will be the first in line to receive a specific gift or share of your estate.
2. Backup Beneficiaries: If your sons are deceased, you can name their wives as backup beneficiaries. This ensures that the gift or share of the estate goes to them if the primary beneficiaries cannot accept it. 3. Contingent Beneficiaries: Finally, if both your sons and their wives are deceased, you can designate their children as contingent beneficiaries. This means the children will receive the estate only if all other named beneficiaries have predeceased you. The Willful templates do NOT allow for the identification of "Backup Beneficiaries" (the wives; they are forced by the templates into the CONTINGENT Beneficiaries)

You’re absolutely right. While our platform allows you to direct a primary beneficiary’s share to their children or to the remaining primary beneficiaries if they pass away before you, it doesn’t currently allow you to name that beneficiary’s partner as a specific backup tied only to their share.
We understand how important that level of flexibility can be, especially when planning for more nuanced family dynamics.
The good news is that we’re actively addressing this limitation, and an update that provides more flexibility in how backup beneficiaries are structured is expected to be released in the next few days.

It was straight forward and easy to do. The best part was that you could leave it and return to it a few days later without any loss of data. It was also cheap compared to getting things done by a lawyer/solicitor.
