I have researched other sites' product offers before I bought it from world-import.com. For their players you can go to Sony update firmware without worry of losing region free feature. But for some other sites, if you go to Sony to update firmware upgrade, region free would be gone. You have to go a secret link to get it back if you are lucky. The Sony player shipping was quick and have used for months without any issues. I would recommend world-import.com

Took my 52 inch Sony tv to europe and bought Pal To NTSC converter. They "lost" the first one and was never able to use the tracking number they provided. Eventually a unit arrived which worked fine for about four months. emailed them with details of problem but it took many more emails to get a response. They asked me to send it back(from Europe) and they would examine and repair if it was under warranty! I even offered to pay for delivery of a replacement until mine could be returned and still they don't respond. This company does not deserve even one star.

I live overseas and needed them to get my pal/ntsc converter box to a friend so she could bring it: not sent. Found another way to get it here, got it and the AC adapter is the WRONG one. They have not yet reimbursed the shipping difference between 1st delivery (to Canada) and second delivery (to VA). Told me that the unit is packed somewhere else. Have requested they overnight a new one to me--any bets?

After my package was lost/not delivered, I never got any answer from World import by email, and on the phone, they just keep repeating "we'll call you back". his is two months now, I give up.

I ordered a product from them, and when it did not arrive, I e-mailed the company four times. Despite paying $60 for postage with tracking, the company have not provided a tracking number. To date I have still not received a response or the goods that I ordered. Do not use this company

hI ordered a Sony DVD player through their website. In 2 days got call from Victor, telling me that this Sony model obsolete, 5 years old , and that Pioneer 420 model will do the job. I asked if this is reliable model, he said, the best no complaints so far, very popular. Guess what , in 3 days received the DVD, turned on, tray wouldn't open. Tried several times, no result.Sent it back to the store and threatened them via e-mail with BBB (Better Business Bureau) .Let see how long it takes to get a refund?!

I ordered a portable dvd player and couple of days later I got a call to inform me that the product I got isn;t the best and that for extra 20$ I could get better one. This has never ever happened to me before and the most of my shopping I do online.

I bought Region Free Recorder and Region Free VHS-DVD Player Combo. Within a month, started having problem, I had to return and exchanged another ones, paying more. In a year, the VHS player started to eat my video tape, so I stopped using. Also, the Recorder started not to play any US store bought DVDs. I asked Victor what I could do about the Recorder, but he said the DVDs are wrong, and there is nothing we can do. He asked me to get another DVD from the store. On the other regular US standard player, I could play all of them. He was not very helpful and I will not buy any of there products again.

I BOUGHT A DVD/VCR RECORDER LAST YEAR AND WITHIN 90 DAYS THE UNIT STOPPED WORKING. REPORTED THE PROBLEM, RECEIVED AN EMAIL FROM VICTOR B. THAT HE WOULD FIX OR EXCHANGE THE UNIT. SENT THE UNIT BACK (AT MY EXPENSE) AND RECEIVED THE UNIT IN THE SAME SHAPE A MONTH LATER. THANKS FOR NOTHING VICTOR B.
