Couldn’t have asked for a better experience from start to finish. From booking our first scan to getting our first frozen transfer, the whole process was so easy, and every member of staff we dealt with was warm, helpful, full of information and generally caring.

starting ivf can be extremely overwhelming and you will be nervous but ABC ivf will make you feel at ease, we are so happy with the support we have had so far.

ABC made our journey to becoming a family as smooth as possible. We cannot thank them enough for everything that they have done for us, im now sitting here with a beautiful 6 week old baby boy who a year ago we didn’t know if it would be possible as a same sex couple. We were supported through every step and made to feel so comfortable at every appointment.

I'd say we officially started a round of treatment late November 24. However, I had scans and conversations with the clinic from July as we were planning to transfer clinics.

Our story is quite Unique. Prior to being a patient with ABC we had been with another clinic since Dec 22. We had completed 3 IVFS and two IUIs. None of our IVF cycles got to transfer. All our eggs had arrested each time. Which was alot of financial strain and, never actually getting to the point of officially trying to get pregnant was awful. We felt by the end of it, just a number, which paid for me to undergo several egg collections... (We never got to have any frozen) Which resulted in a very mentally drained couple being poorly advised regarding our fertility.

After speaking with my husband , we made the change to ABC for one last treatment. From the initial appointment, I could already see the difference in care, we weren't a number anymore. It was about our journey.
Everything was timed perfectly. Medication came on time, all of the documents we needed to sign was easily accessible.

ABC were extremely thorough throughout my stimulation(injecting) scan every other day and bloods taken on every visit. (Something I wasn't used to) I also found caring that they offered you to come into clinic for your first injection if you were uneasy about injecting yourself for the first time.

The nurses and coordinators were outstanding with customer service and empathy.

The egg collection was completely smooth. I went for a long nap as I normally would and was able to go home within the hour after food and drink and the loo!. Past experiences I had a terrible recovery after elsewhere.

The embryologist kept us informed of our embryo culture and had clear instructions for transfer day.
Transfer day was a big day for us as it was our first one ever! Completely smooth, no pain and everything was so organised and planned out to the very moment our embryo was transferred.

We did get pregnant on our first go with ABC, which was a huge thing for us as we've never been this far before. Once we notified the clinic they arranged a 7 week scan to check all was ok. We even got to see and HEAR the babies heartbeat which was incredible. We were then discharged for normal antenatal and given clear instructions on continuing medication for the commencing weeks.

It's a long story I know, but I wanted to give other people the chance to realise not all clinics who are bigger or better or have a shiny new building are the best. We were very naive at the beginning but ABC absolutely won us over

With one little embryo frozen safely with ABC, we will definitely be back for the future.

All I can say is thank you ABC from the bottom of our hearts for giving us our chance to experience pregnancy and to welcome our baby this year.

I'll be forever singing your praises and recommending to anyone else as the clinic that helped us get through it.

Without ABC I wouldn’t have my baby boy here with me today, he was also out only embryo, I cannot thank them enough, they focus on quality over quantity which was a huge factor for us.

The staff at the clinic were all fantastic helpful, friendly and kept you informed of everything and took the time to talk everything through with you. They were always on hand if you needed information or help. The company itself did not contact me much during the process the help was all from the staff at the create clinic they use

Just overall amazing experience. Lovely staff, couldn't have asked for a better experience and worked a charm 1st time. We are so happy we have our little boy and he wouldn't be here without you.

They made us feel as ease throughout and gave us the best care, coming from a different clinic we were positively pleased with the difference in care. Couldn’t recommend enough.

ABC ivf in Bristol were amazing from the very beginning. I felt looked after and cared for and received helpful information at every step of the way to help me with the process.

The staff were all amazing from start to finish. Myself and my wife had been to a consultation in another fertility clinic and the male doctor made us feel like the ivf process was completely out of reach for us. He emphasised cost and the treatment was far too expensive. The staff of ABC only mentioned cost when it was necessary but never made it look like that's what they cared about. We felt like their priority. They provided an affordable payment plan for our situation. The nurses were so knowledgeable and sensitive. Any males we had to deal with during our treatment were very nice and always professional so I never felt uncomfortable. I have recommended ABC to friends looking to go down the IVF route. Really can't fault this clinic. Everything went smoothly from beginning to end. Each step was explained and easy to follow, so there was no point where we were confused or questioning what we were meant to do. Medication was always well handled and monitored, tailored to our own specific needs. The staff were all lovely and really invested in our success. Couldn't have felt more welcomed and comfortable. I felt as though the whole process was actually a lot easier than I had initially expected. I wouldn't hesitate to go back for our second child.

We started our journey with ABC IVF Bristol when they first opened their branch there in 2019. What made the experience great was the approach they had towards us, a lesbian couple who wanted children more than anything and at the time were forced to go private as NHS was not providing any help (this has changed since). The whole process had been explained to us in simple terms, all questions answered, we especially appreciated the gentle and kind way with which our experience had been treated, Sherry Ebanks was our main coordinator at the time and was absolutely outstanding. We wanted a reciprocal IVF with a donor sperm, so more legal work was involved but ABC made sure that the process was not overwhelming for us. The cost side of things was also explained in full and transparent, which made us trust the clinic even more (as we heard stories where people were taken advantage of in a vulnerable situations like ours when going private).
We were kept informed during all steps of the process, through initial scans (again, kudos to Sherry and Sonia Kakavogianni), later after egg collection, and then making of the embryos. We ended up with 6 beautiful embryos, and again, embryologists had been in touch with us at every step of the embryos development. I had a quite complicated embryo transfer, lasted over 40mins, almost had to be stopped but the doctor in charge had been amazing, keeping things light so not to stress me, and in the end it all worked out and I got pregnant, our little boy is 3.5 yr old now.
In 2022 we tried for another baby, and even though it took us some more tries (failed transfer, canceled treatment due to not responding to meds and a chemical pregnancy) we got pregnant in April 2023. We are now blessed with two beautiful, healthy children and all thanks to ABC Ivf. The clinic had been helpful even when we were dealing with losses, especially doctors who did not shy from explaining what might have gone wrong and how to proceed going forward. We never felt rushed or ignored.
The admin process is now quite different from when we first started (all emails in the form of official questions and automatic replies) and lacking that human touch we so appreciated when we first encountered the clinic (a great thank you to Linda, our admin coordinator back in 2019), but it is understandable as ABC has grown so much since then and needs that structure.
All in all we give them 5 starts for the incredible work they are doing and cannot thank them enough for our perfect children.

The ABC IVF Bristol clinic was absolutely amazing. Every single member of staff was welcoming and friendly, understanding and patient. My wife and myself did shared motherhood through this clinic, and were very lucky that we became pregnant after our first embryo transfer.
The clinic were very on it with consent forms, medication strengths, and finding ways that worked best to suit us personally.

We were extremely fortunate that we have recently given birth to our beautiful and healthy baby girl, with no complications.

We would absolutely use this clinic again, and would highly recommend them!

Me and my husband cannot thank everyone at Bristol. From the moment we walked in the door we was greeted with smiles and very friendly staff. There was no judgement. Such a lovely atmosphere and they always chatted to you as a person not just money for treatment. They are very quick with responding even though they are busy. We had our questions answered big or small. Treated with dignity and respect from everyone who took a big part in our journey. Without them we wouldn’t have our little girl after 11 years and failed cycles and hurt we have each time we didn’t make it but today we have our miracle. Highly recommend and would use them again with no question.

I was with another fertility clinic in Bristol who made me feel like a number and a money maker for them, so we decided to swap clinics and go with create/abc on college green in Bristol, from the minute I called there right up until now a year and a half on they have been nothing but lovely caring genuine nice people! Nothing is forced everything is personable to myself, from the lovely receptionist Miranda to the lovely nurses and doctors! Nothing was ever to much I felt like there was zero hidden cost, everything was very easy to understand and very black and white, if anyone in the Bristol or surrounding areas are reading this unsure on who to go to this was my 3rd fertility clinic I’ve visited in the past 5 years and by far the best everything from feeling like a human being to being looked after to not being rushed to communication was spot on.

Not one bad experience with this clinic! Highly recommend and thank you from the bottom of my heart!

My husband and I would highly recommend the ABC Bristol Clinic. The whole team was great, from admin to theatre. We would like to thank in particular Jill, Jackie and Sonia for all the care and support provided to us. Every question we had and we had many was answered very promptly. Nothing was too much trouble. Many thanks for all your help and making our dreams come true in becoming pregnant.

Update 21/07/23: I've now had a productive call with the clinic where they acknowledged my concerns, empathised with my experience and said that they have looked into the issues raised. I've been told thatthey are reviewing some of their processes and providing training to improve communication going forwards. I've outlined what I think needs to change/what would have resulted in a better experience for me. I'm hoping my feedback was constructive and will help them provide a smoother and less stressful experience for others going forwards, and for me if I do end up doing another FET with them. I'm pleased that they took the time to listen and that they seem to want to improve. Now time will tell.

I have very mixed feelings about my experience with ABC.

The communication was probably the most frustrating part. Sometimes my emails wouldn't be responded to for 10+ days (until I complained on social media and their marketing lady got involved and helped me chase it up). I'd try and get hold of my coordinator on the phone and was told so many times she'd call me back but wouldn't get a call.

I also felt very disappointed after my why transfer failed meetings. I was told they'd review my case beforehand at panel level, but during the first why transfer failed meeting the nurse asked if I've ever had my thyroid checked which told me they hadn't looked at my file at all, as I'm under endocrinology and get my thyroid and other hormones checked every 6 months and had sent them all my blood results from the last two years.

When I had my 2nd why transfer failed meeting, the nurse wasn't aware of what we were supposed to be discussing, so nothing had been reviewed/prepared ahead of the call. She did go away and come back with answers to all the questions I had though, and a plan going forwards.

I also found it very frustrating that they wouldn't allow me to do thrombophilia testing until after 3 failed transfers even though I was going privately, so instead I found another place that would do it and based on those results clexane was then added to my protocol.

I had 3 cancelled medicated FETs with them in a row and was on burserelin for over 50 days in total, begging to be changed over to a natural protocol but it wasn't until after 3 cancelled months that they made the change. By that point I was mentally and physically exhausted.

I also had problems with prescriptions not being sent to the pharmacy, or receiving less meds than I needed and had paid for because the number of vials requested didn't add up with the pharmacy's packaging and they couldn't over-prescribe. I contacted the clinic but didn't hear back for days so in the end I contacted the pharmacy instead to understand what had happened and to try and get it resolved.

I also had symptoms of asherman's (barely any periods since a D&C 2013) and on my first ultrasound with ABC I was asked if I had ever had a C-section (which I haven't) as some scar tissue could be seen. I kept asking if it could be asherman's and if I should have a hysteroscopy but because my lining was thick, they didn't recommend it until after my 2nd failed transfer (which like the first one was very painful and we could feel that the Dr was actually hitting something).

Trying to arrange a hysteroscopy with them was an extremely painful experience and in the end I told them I'd find somewhere else to have it done as there was no way I wanted to do it with them anymore. I ended up going to another clinic and it turned out 30-40% of my uterus was closed up due to scarring. Once that was removed I fell pregnant within 6 weeks.

With that said, the nurses at ABC were always amazing, One in particular, who always advocated for me and was my rock throughout the failed and cancelled transfers. Because I ended up having so many scans (going through one fresh round, two transfers and 3 cancelled transfers), I got to meet all the nurses at my clinic and they were all so lovely and I really think they had my best interest at heart and were caring and knowledgeable.

I think if ABC sorts out their admin and communication issues, their customers will have a much better experience. I still have some frosties with them but the thought of dealing with this clinic again gives me a tummy ache, as I've spent so much time being frustrated with them.

Amazing experience, couldn’t fault them.

Me and my partner spent a few days searching for different clinics and locations, we came across ABC clinic in Bristol which had very good reviews so we took that chance, I cannot recommend this clinic enough, every little or big question I had they would always get back to me very quickly, the staff are amazing and helpful, We started our journey beginning of March and I’m now 8 weeks pregnant, Our dreams have came true and that’s down to the staff at ABC IVF Clinic Bristol, thank you.
