I've uncovered so much information…
I've uncovered so much information about mine and my husbands families. There are so many records to search through and hints to give a guiding path. Many documents can be viewed and saved to people in the tree. There are different levels of membership depending on needs and affordability. One of the best things about this site is the education section where you can learn how to search effectively, how to overcome brick walls and many other ways to help learn about the site and the building of a family tree. Every Wednesday is an online class which covers absolute beginners to people who have been researching for years. There is always something new to learn whatever your ability. The site isn't static and new information and help tools are added to it.

I store my family tree on Ancestry. I love searching through the parish records and looking at other people's trees. I did my DNA which only confirmed everything that I had found so far. It meets my purposes rather well having very many parish record transcriptions for the various parts of the country from which my family originated. There are, as there are bound to be, when transcribing from old books with illegible writing, some mistakes in transcription, but it is easy to report these, and the big plus is that you can search through the registers themselves.

Long time member of Ancestry, it has come a long way since I first signed up, there is a very high collection of records to help you find your families path, great features to help your searches and they are always innovating to make the experience better, some of the items like newspapers cost extra which can be a bit annoying

Problem......ok when you can speak with a human
Overall the ancestry site is fine. Yes too much dependence on AI to provide hints is detrimental to the experience.
I found today the AI chat facility to be a waste of time and difficult to get to the stage of asking to speak with an agent. They no longer provide a telephone contact number. I needed to talk with them as I could not log in and not receiving verification codes

So very upset
So very upset. I've been paying my subs for many years BUT im very upset that I can't see my tree when I try to look. This has gone on for a few years now and after phone calls to ancestry it has never been corrected.
