Renewed my insurance for my 2023 Honda NC750X today and had a great telephone experience, the lady who took my call was excellent and very helpful. I would highly recommend Bikesure for bike insurance.

I urge anyone thinking of taking bike cover out with Bikseure to read this review to prevent being taken off cover without your knowledge.
I insured 2 bikes with Bikesure in April this year. They confirmed both bikes were insured and said they would contact Bennetts my previous insurer to get my NCB.
I had a notification this week from DVLA advising neither bikes were insured. Contacted Bikesure who confirmed that they had taken the bikes off cover as they had not received the NCB? They told me that they had phoned and sent emails to me and due to the lack of response, removed both bikes off cover. I live in a rural town where the phone signal is very poor and I did not take any phone calls or receive any emails from Bikesure. I questioned why, if they were unable to get a response from me, didn’t they contact me by post, which I receive daily? They said its not company policy to do so.
The premium to covert both bikes was £217.18 of which I received £44.30 refund back after Bikesure cancelled the policy. I questioned if the refund was correct and their deductions were as follows:

£96.94 refunded from insurer (Highway)
£37.50 cancellation fee (Bikesure)
£15.14 commission fee (Bikesure)
£52 policy issue fee (Bikesure)
£19 Personal accident cover (Bikesure)

The bikes were on cover for a total 46 days.
What is very worrying is that I have been riding my bikes without insurance. Not good. I have the NCB to hand which had they had requested it during our initial quotation conversation I would have sent them.
Bikesure customer service was very poor in dealing with my problem advising that there was nothing they could do for me and if I wanted they would pass on my grievance to customer complaints.
I’m not entirely sure if it is legal for Bikesure to remove vehicles off cover without the insurer knowing and will seek the advice from the insurance Ombudsman.
Read other insurers reviews as this had not only happened to me.
No doubt I will receive the standard response that everyone else receives to avoid taking responsibility and actually dealing with the problems:

Very confusing regarding upload of documents. Already sent and still confused if they have been received as to whether the NCB applies to the multi insurance both motorcycles or just for one motorcycle ?
Not sure if I will be using Bikesure again on renewal date.

Easy to use, good price.

The experience from start to finish was simple and troublesome free.
You get to speak to a human without broom hold forever and the responses are pretty much instant. A nice change from other providers I’ve used.

All automatic and although the price increase is 20% you are not ripping the public off as much as the other insurance companies are.

early renewal invitation with enough time to check out the details of the cover
when I decided to renew it was quick and easy
