I’ve only just booked
I’ve only just booked, so I will assume it is a review of our booking experience. It was easy to navigate the website found what we wanted, payment was straight forward and the communication after booking was good.

Bus was not the normal Caledonian…
Bus was not the normal Caledonian vehicle. No charging points available. Drivers microphone was feeding back (loudly) allowing no proper introduction and welcome. Pickup times for the Saturday were poorly communicated.
Hotel and Beatles tour were both fine.

5 Day break Caledonian Island Hotel Sandown
A perfect break from start to finish.
Hotel was superb, great location set in it's own grounds.
Room was very modern and clean. Food was very tasty, served by brilliant staff.
Very good choice of excursions, I chose the Needles Cruise and Steam Train Trip, very enjoyable.
A special mention for the driver, Jordan. A very safe and personable driver throughout the five days, and handled a very difficult journey home very professionally.

Great holidays never had a bad one yet. Everything organised for you and feels very safe. A good way to see lots of different places. Always had friendly drivers who go the extra mile and fellow travellers seem to be on same wavelength

Overall we were quite satisfied with our stay, The upgraded Loch view was very comfortable and well appointed. The staff were all very approachable and polite including the waiting and bar staff. A small observation no saucers at breakfast time and odd tea plates, also no porridge in lower dining room and fresh fruit only served on last day. The nightly entertainment was very good ,the best we have experienced in recent years. Overall we would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to family and friends looking for good budget break. The included trips out were very good with excellent drivers.

Scotland trip
Went to Scotland with the wife on fri 9th October 26 to mon 12th October 26. Stayed in the Arrochar Hotel which is a beautiful hotel built in the 1600's (I think). The twin room that we had was a bit on the small side and the beds (mattresses) weren't up to scratch. Could feel the springs. The shower in the room was spot on quite powerful and really hot. The hotel sits right on the loch long with loch lomond being about 2 miles away. Our room was at the front so if they cut down the trees in front of the window you would get a real good view. All the staff there from the reception to the bar staff and kitchen staff were friendly and full of smiles. You get 4 free drinks per person per night and the food was excellent. We did a couple of trips whilst there oban and a waterfall also up to Fort William which were great but they were long days. The drive up with stops was about 7 hours which isn't too bad. On the way back we took a break at Gretna Green which is quite interesting. Lastly the driver we had( sorry but forgot his name) was brilliant. He certainly knew his stuff keeping us well informed about history along the way. He was a credit to Caledonian.
