I attempted to buy a car in mid January from Edinburgh West. Was sent som figures by Sultan and accepted them. I placed a deposit and then the finance company contacted me adding £5k to the term. I declined and spoke to Sultan requesting my deposit back. We have spoken again and despite continued promises, 3 weeks later I’m still waiting. BUNCH OF CROOKS! I have since bought the same vehicle with payments over £200 per month less by arranging my own financing.This was January and it’s nearly Valentine’s Day. This is no longer about the money, it’s the principle.

I bought a vehicle from Cars4You Edinburgh West over 6 weeks ago. I had to wait over 4 weeks for them to settle the finance for my PX vehicle. I am still waiting for a new logbook after 6 weeks. I have spoken to customer service on numerous occasions with no satisfaction. The salesman, Sultan, is not in the least interested in helping out customers and was very rude indeed. Please, please, please do not buy a car from these fly-by-nights. I have purchased a lot of cars in my time, and this lot is the worst example of a reputable car sales company I have ever come across. There is a strong feeling of a crooked company at work here. DO NOT GO NEAR THIS PLACE IF YOU HAVE ANY SENSE. YOU WILL BE SERIOUSLY DISSAPOINTED. AND SERIOUSLY OUT OF POCKET. AVOID AVOID AVOID.

Cars are unserviced & put out with fake MOTs...AVOID ALL THERE DEALERSHIPS.

I put a deposit down on a mercedes Benz convertible, lovely car, but I had to pull out of deal due to financial problems, got my £1000, deposit back with in 10 days no problem.
Have to signal out zeb the sales man and the manager, zeb spent over 40 minutes trying to renew my driving licence and my girlfriend, we got coffee while waiting zeb and management went beyond their service to a customers, once I get my finances sort out I'll be back in all A1 service to the Edinburgh branch, thank you for all your help.

This place is a absolute joke, sold me a car in late 2024 and problems started to arise within a week. Called them and told them everything. They kept the car for 2 months and gave me dodgy cars for the 2 months. They gave a dodgy mot with a major rust in the exhaust which was a absolute fail but somehow they passed the MOT, it’s also had cracks in the windscreen and passed the MOT. Took the car to Mercedes and they were surprised that how they passed the MOT.
The Director said he would refund me my windscreen money if I did it through my insurance but it’s been more than a year and I’m still waiting on the refund.
Stay far from these guys, they will sell you dodgy cars

Went to see the car in cars 4 you for my wife, which I thought it was a good deal at the time, after viewing the car we decided to buy it. So the manager told us it would be ready for you in 3 days, and they'll clean inside and out of the car, and get rid off the scratches. The day we collect the car, It looks like they never clean the car and scratches were still there, the worse thing was, they told us the car had been in an bad accident and it was repaired and it's perfectly drivable. Very sneaky, never said anything until we made the payment and only got the one key for that car.🤮

Dunfermline branch is an absolute joke of a car dealer. Promised an MOT and to sort a few issues, but sold it to me with 2 flat tyres.
Also had to chase them up for weeks and didn’t get anywhere.

Absolute CONMEN do not ever buy a car from this lot, they sell cars with fake mots and cars get through that definitely shouldn’t, two months after buying a car£4k car I now have £2k bill to fix what was needed for a proper mot. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING COPANY that needS closed down before one of their death traps kills somebody

they would not accept liability, so i went to their finance company and they reimbursed the full amount

An extremely simple issue that should have taken days turned into months and ended in court.

After buying a car from Cars4You Ltd, I discovered defects (a door that wouldn’t open and a dent). An agreed reimbursement for repairs they asked me to arrange then dragged on for months, with repeated delays, document requests, and follow-ups despite everything being provided multiple times.

What made it worse is I tried to avoid this exact situation. I asked them to take the car, repair it, and return it. They declined. I asked to be sent to their own garages so they could deal with them directly (I just wanted to drop the car off and collect it fixed). They declined again, leaving the customer to do the legwork and then chase reimbursement.

Communication was slow, and progress only happened after I raised a formal Small Claims court case. Once proceedings started, this was suddenly settled in full, including court fees.

I didn’t pursue this because of the amount it was around £200 against a £10k car. I pursued it on principle. Reading other reviews, I noticed similar patterns where postsale issues only move forward after significant pressure.

To be fair, the initial sales contact was friendly and some people clearly have smoother experiences. But based on mine I'd recommend keeping everything in writing, don’t rely on verbal assurances, check paperwork carefully, and be prepared to escalate if needed.

The law exists to create order and accountability and sometimes UNFORTUNATELY (considering how courts are busy with other more important matters) using it is the only way to bring a SIMPLE issue to a close.

The staff here is wonderful. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. They made the buying process easy from beginning to end. Zeb, our salesman, was great to deal with. We will definitely look here first for any future vehicle needs.

Bought a car from straiton garage, very pleased with the service from Mark and Sultan. Helped us get a good dea within our budget and kept us up to date with how the car service and mot was going and when it would be ready this was within the time period they gave us. Very friendly and not too pushy
