Saw a car on the website and went over to see it (90 miles from home). Test drove it and liked it, decided to purchase and trade my current vehicle in against it. Ali was very friendly for a start, got everything sorted and I paid an extra £200 for the diamondbrite treatment. We were told that it usually takes 10 days to prepare and MOT and he would phone when it was ready, he estimated it to be ready the following Tuesday. Long story short, nearly a week after it was meant to be ready, we could collect it. I may add that to this day i have never had a single call, I had to repeatedly call Ali and ask when it would be ready. So 2 weeks after seeing the car, we go to collect. It doesn't look like it's been diamondbrite treated as the paintwork still feels gritty! Engine bay had a thick layer of dust on which we were told would be cleaned before we picked it up.....it wasn't! Car was advertised as having a towbar, it's a volvo detachable one which didn't lock in and had no keys so that cost us £160 to replace when we got home.
My old car finance was a whole other problem. It took me 2.5 weeks of phone calls to get Ali to pay this off!
Apart from having to replace the towbar we are really happy with the car so far! But I'd still recommend you don't buy from cars4you ltd!

I traded my car in to the sighthill branch after seeing a car in the station branch through Kandoo. I am happy with the car though I have seen they are selling my car a lot more than they had quoted me for.

I was to get two thousand pounds put in to my bank and advised would take three to five working days.

Eight working days later and I still have no cash in my account from the company and I am currently taking advice from a lawyer.

I am constantly being fibbed off when I call and a young lady who took my call was not trained as to being a call handler using inappropriate wording, lack of empathy and compassion, sounded like she was often muting me and verged upon rude.

I had previously done a review saying how satisfied I was but now this has left me in debt and without the cash that I am owed for the sale of my car!!! Please be cautious when using this company!!!

My dad bought a car from them and faults started to happen in the car
They had it back several times to be repaired with no success
It got that bad that he ended up getting rid of the car after 6 months of poor service and bulls*** please do not butmy from them

If you want a car with more issues than vogue then look no further.. The only flag this mob should be flying is a huge red one.Dont even know where to start but here we go. Saw the car online and loved it,went up,looked it over, wanted it,went for it. Writing wasn't even dry on the paperwork and was asked to write a good review before I left.Was told it would be ready and serviced within a week.It must have sat for a week with not one thing done,as it had bulb out,no service done,not even washed and a totally broken grill and fan not working. Surely if it was checked before leaving all this would have been picked up..To cut a long story short I was in and out with mechanical problems for a couple of weeks. I had to leave the car first time so this fab company gave me a courtesy car.. yip you guessed my trade in. So after about a week,got car back, still with problems,got another courtesy car ,nearly two weeks down the line with no communication I asked about my car.. it was getting taken to Edinburgh from Falkirk to be fixed..Asked if it would be brought back to Falkirk as I'm not big on driving in Edinburgh. Yip it will says them.. gets a call cars ready..in Edinburgh..Sorry but I'm not coming through to Edinburgh, I already explained this. Next gets an email from the manager Murray telling me my cars ready to be picked up in Edinburgh.. Explained it once again and to be honest if they couldn't fix it in Falkirk and had to take it to Edinburgh,then surely they would have the decency to bring it back.. They did in the end. But the moral of this story is..read reviews before you buy.and avoid this lot like the plague .Hope trading standards look into this lot.

Cars 4 U - A Review of Terrible Post-Sale Customer Service
My experience with Cars 4 U started off promising but quickly turned into a nightmare. I purchased a 2016 Suzuki Baleno on May 4, 2025, and initially, the service was excellent. The sales assistant, Ali, was very helpful and pleasant, which made us feel confident enough to buy the car on the spot.
Unfortunately, that's where the positive experience ended. After taking the car home, we discovered two major faults: the infotainment system wasn't working and the AC had a gas leak. Ali assured us that he would arrange for a mechanic to fix these issues and even promised to give us money to cover the cost of the infotainment system repair. This assurance was the only reason we took the car home that day.
From that point on, everything went downhill. We tried to contact Ali multiple times, but he never answered our calls. We even went to the dealership in person, only to be turned away with empty promises that he would call us back with a date and send us the money. The money never came, the car's AC still doesn't work, and the infotainment system remains broken.
The most shocking and serious issue, however, was with the car's paperwork. Ali had told us that he submitted all the necessary documents to the DVLA for the V5C log book. As first-time car buyers, we didn't know the process and trusted his word. Two months went by, and we still hadn't received the log book. Our worst fears were confirmed when we were stopped by the police, who informed us that the car was still registered under the previous owner's name. When we checked with the DVLA, they confirmed they had never received any application for a change of ownership. When I confronted Ali about this, he became angry and refused to take any responsibility.
The post-sale customer service from Cars 4 U has been nothing short of terrible. We are incredibly disappointed with the lack of communication, the unfulfilled promises, and the negligence regarding the legal paperwork. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone.

Great consumer service from Brad he was very helpful even helped fit my sons car seat and the mechanic dean was amazing my car door Jammed and wouldn’t close and he came out within 10 mins to sort the issue couldn’t have met a nicer guy ☺️ amazing staff highly recommend all at cars 4 you Edinburgh west

Great service by zeb. What ever he said he got it done, what a lad, a valuable asset to the company. Very happy with the service from the start to finish.

Took 30 minutes for a taxi to even be assigned then it was assigned after 25 minutes said the driver was 1 minute away then changed back saying assigning driver. I called the office and they said the car had broken down (BULLSHIT). then another 10-15 mins waiting for it to be assigned then it was finally assigned only to say “2 mins away” when it was a 10 minute drive away from our pick up point. Terrible company and the call handlers are so extremely rude especially the lady with the high pitched voice and the other lady that sounds like a man and another lady was picked up at our location before us when she arrived after. SHIT COMPNAY

bought a car from them in August within 4 days of bringing it home, we had it inspected at local authority testing station, car was unfit to drive and a dangerous safety condition despite coming with a clean MOT. called company demanding they repair it which they said they would and fit a cat converter as it was faulty too so how it passed emissions test for mot the week before with no advisories and had a rotten back axel and no cat converter is amazing. They agreed to take the car back to repair then the fun and games started. giving us the runaround not telling us where car was or when it would be ready trying to stall us to go over the 14 day cooling off period . so we contacted the finance company to get the finance cancelled and only then did cars 4 you agree to take the car back. they have had the car back since 28th August but I am still waiting for my refund it has been one lie after another from its in process to we need V5 first. the final straw was after an email from Murray (area sales manager) that if we go back to original branch they will give us refund and we can give them the V5 so I did that today 13th Sept, to be told no the main office will refund you we just need the v5 which obviously im not handing over until I see the refund is being processed at bank. so now I am going the route of contacting DVLA about the unsafe condition of the car and the fact the MOT was clean, I have pictures and walk round video of the dangerous rust condition. I am also going to trading standards and financial Ombudsman as if other cars are in this state someone could be hurt. if it means they dont refund then I will forfeit my deposit .

⚠️ Warning ⚠️ warning ⚠️.. Stay well clear of this company and their staff .. I purchased a Honda Civic for my Son.. It was clear from the start something was very very wrong.. The company had completely neglected to clean or prepare the vehicle for delivery.. During the drive home the engine light and oil light illuminated.. The vehicle was taken to the local council for a MOT check over .. During the inspection the vehicle was found to be not fit for the road.. In actual fact the vehicle was a death trap..The Rear axle was completely corroded through , The vehicles catalyst was completely broken apart inside the exhaust.. considering the vehicle was MOT a month before sale , this would indicate that false MOT checks are being carried out .. The vehicle has been rejected and returned to Cars4u at great hassle.This was after a false promise to repair the vehicle .. Delay after delay and half stories.. I’m currently awaiting the refund of the 500 pound deposit.. Unfortunately the area Manager Murray must be the most incompetent individual I have had to deal with. He blatantly refuses to return calls . Currently we have made a complaint against the Cars4U , the MOT testing garage with DVLA , Motor vehicle Ombudsman and trading standards .. I would suggest anyone that has bought a car from Cars4U urgently take their vehicle to have a full check over .. the MOT certificate is not worth the paper it’s printed on..

Went to Cars4uYou Dunfermline and was lucky enough to meet Zeb who went out of his way to get me the car I liked at the price I could afford. He was very helpful and has a great report with people. There were a few issues which were sorted and so far so good. Thanks Zeb 👍

We bought a car from here and gave it back 4 days later.everything was wrong with it.The warranty ain't worth the paper its written on either..They said we couldn't have our old car back and were stil waiting on them fixing our new car 4 weeks later.The car should never have been able to leave the garage..Robbing xxxx is what I call people like them.. Very unprofessional people.The next step is trading standards as I'm getting nowhere with them.got car back meant to be fixed.still not right so they have it back again.
