I joined for a free 7 day trial
I joined for a free 7 day trial. Luckily my credit rate is pretty good, but there was a notice of a hidden account, which I didn’t understand what that was, turns out it was Anglian Water with my name on the bill, not my bill as I don’t pay any household bills, so that was fine. Then I noticed I was financially responsible for one of my sons, he’s 24 now, turns out that many years ago I ordered a 2nd credit card in his name on my account, by the time he turned 18 he had his own, but it remains on my credit file that I am financially responsible for him, it makes no difference to me either way but it might do if he gets a mortgage, maybe, I don’t actually know. So I’ve requested it to be removed. I cancelled within the 7 days free trial so I’m unsure if I’ll get an update. But I recommend signing up even if it’s just for the 7 days free trial trial, it’s worth knowing what they hold on file for you.

Really easy app to use and customer services really helpful. I raised a dispute to clear an association on my file and this is was actioned immediately. I have had updates with expected time frames for the association to be removed which is really helpful

Great service easy to navigate and responses are very quick. All information easy to translate even for a dummy like me. Would recommend highly if you need anything removed that's no longer relevant.

A must for anyone who had a joint account/mortgage with someone else!
Gives you information your bank and Solicitors don't!
My ex- and I had a joint account and a house/mortgage together until 2022. Though we closed the joint account and the house was then remortgaged in my name only, he was still listed as an association; which I would never have known if I didn't decide to use Checkmyfile.
Very easy to use and raise disputes, which were resolved efficiently with clear communication / updates.
Also, very easy to cancel!
