Cooks & Company offered the best price for the Miele washing machine that I wanted to buy. Their web site was easy to use and I received a quick reply to my email checking on availability. The washing machine was delivered in perfect condition on the date that I had selected by a 2 man team who observed the Covid guidelines by wearing face masks and keeping an appropriate distance. The delivery team were happy to unwrap the washing machine for me so that I could check it over before signing for it and were happy to lift the machine over the threshold into my hallway before leaving. As the country is currently in lockdown I didn't feel comfortable asking them to carry the machine through to the kitchen, a job I was quite capable of doing by sliding the machine on a dustsheet.

I did phone Cooks & Co mid-afternoon on the delivery day to make sure that the machine was on its way and a helpful lady assured me that the machine was out for delivery and offered to check on progress. Moments later I was advised that they had one more delivery to make before mine and 30 minutes later the team were with me. Apparently I failed to give my mobile number when purchasing the washing machine on the web site so the delivery team had been unable to keep me updated by SMS.

I would have no hesitation in buying from Cooks & Co again.

I have never ordered from Cooks and Company before and this was a strange experience.

Wednesday. I ordered a Miele warming drawer for about £1000. Hesitantly, because I have not used this company before. But the website said the drawer was in stock for next day delivery, so I ordered. My credit card company informed me that my transaction had been authorised. Happy days. Looking forward to next day delivery (Thursday) as expected. Went out for a walk.

Next thing: text from Cooks & co saying "We need to authorise payment before dispatching. Please call this number to arrange delivery." Arrange delivery? How about simply delivering it next day like I just paid for? I tried calling immediately and find myself on hold in a queue with lots of marketing messages about Cooks & co. Thought, no thanks, this is not a good company to have just donated £1000 to. I hung up. Got back home, onto the website, cancelled my order.

Next thing: another text message. Your order is ready for delivery. Book online on our track order page. Use this PIN number.

I thought, ok maybe I'll give them a chance. So I follow the link to the tracking page. Which says, we can deliver Friday. Ok. Not next day. But only one day late. I will enter the 4 digit pin they've given me. ....

"PIN not recognised. Call this number to arrange delivery." This was the pin number they just gave me by text. This was the number I called that just left me on hold listening to their marketing nonsense.

I also notice in the Terms & Conditions that their website says something about delivery. It says, We'll try delivering, but if for any reason we can't deliver, we will charge you £££ to rearrange.

I do not wish to fall prey to their error strewn glitchy system and risk losing even more money to them. So online I cancel again. I just want to cancel, get my money back and forget Cooks and Co for ever.

Next thing: they call me! Did I really want to cancel? Yes. They said they would give my money back. They sent a text to this effect. Did I get my money back? I really need to check that......

The first time I have bought from Cooks and Company and so I was a little apprehensive.
However the whole process from ordering to delivery went without any problems - in just over 48 hours!

Excellent service! Iain was fantastic in helping me over several calls and emails, and we have been very pleased.

Dryer readily available and delivered within a very few days. Great service, no fuss, they just got on with it and delivered! And the dryer is just brilliant!! Very few vented dryers available these days but it lives in the garage so a ‘heat pump’ wouldn’t do and I’ve read a lot about the condensers creating a lot of damp air. Very happy with my purchase, Miele’s are expensive but they’re quality machines.

The company itself was wonderful, and I will shop with you again.

However - you took a payment of £1450 for goods which you didn't have, hold stock, or indeed a firm delivery date.

I am pleased to write that you issued a very prompt refund - Thank You.

I understand and appreciate that many people will gather together the required items for a particular project, for particular date.

However, you could save us both some trouble if you could call us, to advise the item is not immediately available.

We could then proceed.

I have never had such wonderful service. I called them, they answered me. They ordered my hob and within the week it arrived. Such incredible service. Will use again and recommend anyone. Thank you

Ordered a new Tumble dryer online, two days later old unit taken away and new Dryer installed. Quick, simple and competitive price. What more can I say.
