Excellent quick delivery

Great price but the communication about delivery and installation fell short

I was in your Sandyford with my wife today looking for a TV. As soon as I entered I couldn't help but shiver from the cold. All I could think about is "Why is there no heating?" While my wife bought a tablet cover I stepped over to the TVs for barely a second until I couldn't stand it anymore, didn't inquire to make a purchase, and left. It was actually colder than it was outside in there! The Staff were more than apologetic about it yet they themselves said they couldn't do a thing about it. I'm not sure who's in charge of the amenities in the store but if Dominic is a real person, maybe he should invest in at least heating to make his customers feel comfortable enough to buy. I feel sorry for the staff in there too having to bare what feels like below freezing temperature in there!

Order placed based and collect in store was selected based on availability of stock shown on website. Called store for an update the following day and they had no intimation the order, called head office and they informed the store has no stock and will have to wait for an update. Two days later no update other than an email asking to review the service provided. I am throughly disappointed, especially when the item was intended as a new year gift and I was prepared to go out of the way to collect it at a store an hour drive away.

I didn't get a confirmation email, I went to check in store and they asked if I had a confirmation email. I said no, they said they couldn't do anything until it arrived. I at that point was afraid that they might sell out of the item before the confirmation email arrived. So I asked him to check how many they had left in stock, upon checking the amount of stock they had in this particular store they could then see one of them had been allocated to me and were able to see the confirmation even though I had not received it yet. It just seems a bit ridiculous that they would have it in stock, have me ready to collect and have that in the system and still be in this trap of well the email hasn't arrived so we can do nothing. They initially didn't even check they system, they just said if you haven't an email there is nothing they can do, which only by chance of me asking about stock levels turned out not to be true. (Confirmation email to say it was ready to collect arrived after I had picked up the product)

From ordering, payment and delivery, the whole process was easy.

Quick delivery

Just got my new refrigerator on Christmas Eve. The delivery guy came yesterday but was unable to deliver it on his own so he promised he would be back early this morning with help and he was true to his word, these two guys(sorry can’t remember their names) were extremely professional and although it was a hard job to get the refrigerator in(doors had to be removed) they succeeded without a scratch. Thanks lads

I ordered an "in stock" TV for store collection on Sat 13th Dec. By Monday 15th there was still no email to say come and collect. I emailed the company regarding the order and got no response. I eventually got a store phone number and contacted them to find out that the "in stock" items were never in stock and one would be ordered from Navan to be dispatched the next day. I only had a morning time window to collect so I went to the store in Blanchardstown to see if it had arrived, but it hadn't. I had to cancel the order for the 32inch TV and the only alternative I could buy was a 24 inch TV. Not what I wanted at all.

I bought set off knifes in Blanchardstown store on 4 weeks ago, they didn't have colour what I wanted in store but have promised send it Cavan store. After several visits Cavan store, a month later they offered me refund, just before Christmas. So disappointed ☹️

I made the mistake of ordering a coffee maker from another Irish company and 2 weeks later they were still processing my order and wouldn't answer emails or the phone. So i cancelled my order and ordered my machine from Dominic Smith.
The order was placed on Monday, the delivery arrived on Thursday, The delivery driver waa very polite.
I have bought many items from Dominic Smith over 20 years both online and in store and they are a pleasure to deal with.
I'll be back as a customer.
