I made an online order and wondered why I had not received a confirmation email from ES and on checking my Paypal receipt realised my email was mistyped. On contacting ES online help, Mara (a real person) sorted it out very quickly and efficiently, I am most impressed and very happy with ES customer service. Looking forward to receiving my order now.

Terrible company to deal with. After waiting over a month for stock to be delivered the dressers arrived with missing knobs. We then had to wait another 4 days for these to arrive. The delivery is an absolute rip off as all they did was place it in the room, they trampled my kids toys (even though I had moved everything to clear the path). We also had so much cardboard from the delivery which will take months to dispose of. Customer service said we could have paid extra at checkout to have it removed, however this was never offered to us during purchase.
We ended up having our delivery fee refunded, however after this experience we will not purchase from them again.

I phoned Early Settler to enquire on a beautiful wall mirror and floor lamp.
I was served by Anisa who was extremely lovely to deal with & very knowledgeable regarding products, availability and shipping options.
She went above and beyond to organise everything for me & get the order to me on a day that suited me.

Orered lamp from website. Took three months to arrive ( initially informed it would take some time, then heard nothing but it miraculously appeared in stock the day after I chased they up).
Collected fom Ballarat store, got it home, it was broken. Took it back & they promised a replacement which came very quickly. Got that home and it was the same broken lamp glued back together.
Totally insulting.

Very misleading and deceptive returns promises for online purchases, do not trust them! Terrible after sales customer service

Purchased some goods on 1/12/25 and was told it would be at the store (West Gosford) on 4 Dec.
Went to the store today 8/12/25 and was told the goods didn't arrive and it might be this Thusday (11/12/25) and I should get notification when it has.

I consider this very poor customer experience and a waste of my time making a trip to the store.

Be aware of any delivery timeline this store provides.

Extremely disappointed with the customer service. I contacted Early Settler multiple times over several days regarding a simple exchange and received no replies to emails, website messages, or promised call-backs. I eventually had to ring the store myself to get any information. The lack of communication was astonishing and well below what I would expect from a company of this size. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I will not be returning as a customer.

I purchased 4 dining stools on sale. I brought them home to find out they are not dining stools, they are outdoor bar stools and are so high they don't fit under our kitchen counter. I got told there would be no refunds or even a credit toward four bar stools that could fit. I am now stuck with 4 stools that are so high our legs touch our counter.
I know companies have policies, however these can be applied within reason. They potentially could have made a larger sale and follow up sales from me if they had allowed us to exchange for kitchen stools.
Very dissapointed in their customer service. I will not be shopping there again.

I recently purchased a swivel chair online from Early Settler, which was clearly advertised as in stock and ready for delivery. After placing my order, I heard nothing for several days and had to follow up myself — only to be told that the chair actually needed to be shipped from elsewhere and would take around 10 days just to reach their Auburn warehouse.

This is completely misleading to customers who believe they’re purchasing an item that’s ready to go. When I requested a refund, as I couldn’t wait that long, I was told I would be charged a 20% cancellation fee — even though the delay was entirely due to their false advertising.

This practice feels unethical and unfair. Customers should not be penalised for a company’s lack of transparency. If the true stock status and delivery timeframe had been clear upfront, I would never have placed the order. Early Settler needs to be honest about product availability, stop misleading consumers and give me my refund back!

Top Tier Service.

Anisa was wonderful to deal with. We asked for a delayed delivery date and she ran through the process with me. I will now have a beautiful table and chairs for our new home arriving just when we do.

My experience with Early Settler has been mostly a big hassle! My flat pack arrived incomplete and the missing parts were order over a week ago and I still don't have them, The parts seem to be lost now. No, I won't shop here again

Terrible experience with early setters shop Frankston and Narre Warren. We have ordered a wooden carved stool from Frankston store and were told we can collect from Narre Warren store which is close to our home. However, we haven’t received any call after a week and when we checked with Narre Warren store, we get a rude response stating that the warehouse didn’t deliver and asked us yo drive to keysborough to collect the item. The next day we get a call from the store where we purchased asking us to come back to collect an item on display as the warehouse has a broken item. Looks like they are playing with customers and don’t care about customer service. Zero trust worthy business and would never return for any subsequent purchases with early setters.
