Cancelled policy but still charged
The policy was cancelled but they auto-renewed it and still want nearly £100 and won't stop hounding us for the money. I have spoken to them and they agreed to reduce the bill, but now it's back up to £98. I have given in and tried to pay but it won't accept my card. Don't use them, they may be cheap but they will rip you off if they get the chance!

Slow app. Charging for a number plate change.
App is slow and annoying to keep passcode entry even with face bio. Charge to change number plate is ridiculous.

We're also sorry to hear you're unhappy with the charge for changing your number plate. Administration fees are in place to cover the cost incurred by us to administer a policy when making a change to the policy. Administration fees are very common across most insurers, and we regularly review our fees to ensure they are fair. We try and keep our annual premiums as low as possible, so we don't include the cost to update policies at the start and only apply the charge if you make a change. 'Your Agreement with EUI document' is available on our website

My car insurrance renewal came through which first looking at the notification figure seemed fine however when aIaccessed all the relevant documents the figure was different over £400 more! Very deceiving. Other providers came in at raound the lower price so I rang the insurers. The woman admitted the original numberhad been incorrectly entered. Said if I reduced the price of my vehicle or removed my second driver she could run the quote search again...but why would I want to remove the driver but this would still not give me the original quote price which I had used to do comparison with other insurers and it seemed balanced and reasonable. The woman could not provide any rational for my insurance going up more than £400. I genuinely did not feel like a customer I actually felt like they can manipulate the prices to anything... it certainly did not feel right to me and I would NOT reccommend ELEPHANT FOR CAR INSURANCE, in my opinion you'll get a better price and more honest service elsewhere

Do not use Elphant for multi car
Do not use Elphant for multi car! If you happen to sell a car mid term,. there is a £15 admin fee (even though you do it yoursefl online) and a removal fee of £25. Then you premium on the 2nd car goes through the roof, and guess what - if you remove the 2nd car as you have a cheaper quote elsewhere, then theres another £15 admin fee and a removal fee of £25. Rip off.
