Avoid this garage at all costs . Paid in full for a car had it delivered both key fobs were dead and no green slip rang to be told he was dealing with it after numerous calls and being lied to we applied for it ourselves after 10 weeks . Was told 3 month warranty after 14 weeks driving from work had white smoke billowing out of my bonnet had to divert to a garage to have it looked at to be told it was head gasket that my engine was covered In oil . 3k down and a goosed car cheers fame cars

If I could give less stars I would
If I could give less I would, scammers, I was sold a Range Rover and after a week smelt fumes in the cabin, not a lot of interest in dealing we me by the company. Had it checked out by Range Rover. They gave me a bill of £6000 to repair the following!
Cracked manifold! Fumes in cabin
Brakes dangerously low MOT fail, even though they said they had recently changed them
Fuel cover rusted MOT fail
Starter motor going
Diff lose
Electrical issues resulting in all four door locks being quoted as needing changing
Remote key issues
Petrol cap dodgy
Heated seat in passenger doesn’t work,
The list goes on!
MOT dodgy and dangerous so I just haven’t driven the car and part ex.
I should have know when they would only let me test drive up the side street and back!
Conned! And out of money……. But they don’t give a crap!
AVOIDDDDDDDD
5/5 From start to finished
5/5 — Outstanding from start to finish*
I can’t recommend enough. From the moment I walked in, the sales team were welcoming, no-pressure, and genuinely listened to what I needed. Wiks helped me find the perfect car for my budget and explained every option clearly — no jargon, no upsell tactics. This is where they really stand out. I was happy with the car, help setting up the app features, and they sorted a warranty query in 10 minutes over the phone. You feel like a valued customer, not just a sale.
If you want a dealership that actually cares after you drive off the lot, go to Fame cars ltd. Already told my family to buy here.
Happy customer

Scammers, They lure you in and then use pressure selling tactics, they DIDN'T allow me to test drive the car and wanted me to buy first and test drive later...AVOID !!

Terrible dealership
Terrible dealership , sold me a car , within a week of having the car the turbo is gone , I call to return the car given to reviews here and they tried to tell me it was fault and I unplugged everything ? I travelled 150 miles to buy the car bearing in mind, they now blocked my number and when I did call shouted abuse and even threatened me , please stay away for your own sake I beg cos I now have to pay 2500 for a repair beacuse of they sell cars that are fault and they know that and refuse to deal with it

Terrible Experience. Avoid them if you value peace of mind
I purchased a Peugeot 2008 PureTech from Fame Cars Ltd in early December 2025 for £7,350. Just three weeks later the engine developed faults with warning lights. I called the company to report the problem but was told that it was a mere electronic glitch and that for the car to drive successfully from his garage in Birmingham to my place in Scotland, it was a good car and that I should give him a good online review.
Again, on Jan 25th 2026, the same engine warning lights came up indicating a serious fault and advising that the car is undriveable. An independent mechanic’s report clearly showed metal debris in the oil strainer, slack oil pump chain with metal chunks, metal shavings in the filter, and bearing damage, pointing to a full engine replacement. From that moment, dealing with Fame Cars became an absolute nightmare.
The owner lied about the warranty, first claiming it was only 1 month when we had agreed on 6 months.
Then he repeatedly denied the fault was an engine issue, dismissing it as “just a wet belt” despite the independent diagnostic report I sent him.
I rejected the car under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and returned it to the dealer in Birmingham on 6 February 2026 via transporter. He confirmed receipt.
When I called to discuss my right to a full refund, he became rude, cut the call short, and threatened to block me. He even claimed on one occasion that I had been speaking to his brother, not him. Due to his rudeness and evasive attitude, I stopped calling him and resorted to sending mails by post with recorded delivery
After months of formal letters and emails,
he finally offered only £6,900 — refusing to refund the extra £741.79 I had spent on diagnostics and transporting the car back from Scotland to Birmingham. Total loss to me: £1,191.97. Out of frustration, emotional stress, and endless delays, I reluctantly accepted the reduced amount. He then started yet another round of games by refusing to commit to a payment date — this was already two months after he had received the car.
I have now notified the DVLA that the vehicle has been transferred to him as a motor trader. Despite this, Mr Mohammad Waqas is still insisting I send the physical V5C log book by recorded delivery before he releases my money. Who does that? He has the car and also want the V5C but refuses to refund.
I am deeply concerned that if I send the V5C first, he will not pay me at all, given his consistent pattern of lies, evasion, and never standing by his word.
This has been one of the most stressful and dishonest experiences I have ever had buying a used car. The owner’s behaviour has been evasive, unprofessional, and lacking any integrity.
I strongly advise everyone to avoid Fame Cars Ltd completely. If anything goes wrong with your purchase, you will not get fair or honest treatment. Save yourself the headache and the financial loss.
Run a Mile
Bought a VW Lupo for my daughter from these scoundrels. Came with an MOT. Broke down every month until the second MOT, which of course it failed completely.
Garage said it's impossible it would have been given an MOT in the first place, even a year previously.
Had to sell it for scrap. Thousands down the drain.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS
I purchased a VW beetle for 7k on March 16th, by the 25th the car had broken down. I got a local mechanic to diagnose the fault and it came back with a throttle body code which the mechanic suggested had already been deleted therefore was a known fault at point of sale. I would like to point out that the car broke down after NINE DAYS. I was still within the standard 30 day warranty etc therefore well within my rights to get it sorted free of charge. I rang the garage and explained the situation and from day dot have had nothing but aggro and the most disgusting customer service I have ever experienced in my life. The garage first tried to charge me £140 to recover the car and said they will repair it for free out of goodwill(!) They claimed that because I am using the car for work I no longer am within my rights, I would like to point out this car was bought in full and nothing was signed to say what the car would be used for. They quickly changed their tune when I mentioned the motor ombudsman and reporting them to yes we will pick the car up for free and fix it free of charge.
The day of repair is Friday after hearing nothing on Thursday. I messaged at 1pm asking for an update and was told I’ll be messaged when the car is sorted. 5:30 came round so I messaged to ask and all of a sudden the car was ready. I asked for a phone call to clarify what had been fixed and I was told by one of their staff members she didn’t know but then all of a sudden she said the rev pedal. I said I thought it was the throttle body, the boss then snatches the phone shouting saying we’ve done this for you for free and you’re still complaining as if they had did me a favour fixing THEIR mistake. He wouldn’t even let me get a word in edge ways. He then said you’re not getting the car and you’re not getting your money back either so you can go to court.
This is a warning to everyone buying a new car AVOID THESE PEOPLE AT ALL COSTS. I am now out 7k and I no longer am in possession of the car as they are refusing to give it back despite having the new keeper slip and the receipt. Unless you want to be completely mugged off and disrespected I would avoid these dodgy people at all costs!!!! I will be taking this further and reporting these people to the motor ombudsman but please do not give these people your money unless you want the aggro and stress that I have had to deal with over the last week. They were so quick to take our money but when it came to fixing THEIR problems they did not wanna communicate and the service was absolutely appalling throughout the whole experience. It really has drained me, I’ve had no apology, no offer of a courtesy car and not one bit of help or compassion from these people, they even had the nerve to be so arrogant to say give us the car back and we will resell it!
After doing further research, this company has had several directors in the last 5 years, all their cars come from auction and are put into the forecourt without repairs and checks and their “long MOTs” are all fake! Disgusting behaviour - avoid before you have to learn the hard way like I have
