Experiencia absolutamente lamentable, especialmente por el servicio de atención al cliente en España.

Compré un equipo que prácticamente no he podido utilizar. Lo usé apenas dos o tres veces y no funcionó correctamente. El resultado, en mi caso, ha sido una sanción que me ha costado 4 puntos del carné de conducir.

Cuando contacto con ellos para buscar una solución, me encuentro con que habían pasado 17 días desde que recibí el equipo y la respuesta de la persona que atiende el teléfono en España es que “la ley cubre 15 días”. Dos días de diferencia para un dispositivo prácticamente nuevo y utilizado dos veces.

Pero casi peor que la respuesta es la actitud: prepotente, chulesca y con una falta de interés absoluta por intentar solucionar el problema. Parece que una vez cobrado el equipo, el cliente pasa a ser una molestia.

Y lo más increíble: llevo UN MES Y MEDIO sin el dispositivo. He pagado por un producto que ha fallado prácticamente desde el principio, he sufrido las consecuencias de que no funcionara y, además, llevo semanas sin poder utilizarlo mientras ellos tienen mi equipo.

Para vender, todo son facilidades. Es cuando aparece un problema cuando realmente descubres qué tipo de empresa tienes delante.

Después de esta experiencia, no puedo recomendar ni el producto ni, especialmente, el servicio posventa en España. Un producto de este tipo necesita un servicio técnico y una atención al cliente a la altura de lo que cuesta. Mi experiencia ha sido exactamente la contraria.

Si estás pensando en comprarlo, yo tendría muy en cuenta esta experiencia antes de gastarme el dinero.

Absolutely appalling experience, especially with the customer service in Spain.

I bought a device that I have barely been able to use. I only used it two or three times and it did not work properly. In my case, the result was a fine that also cost me 4 points on my driving licence.

When I contacted them looking for a solution, I was told that 17 days had passed since I received the device and the person handling customer service in Spain simply told me that “the law only covers 15 days.” We are talking about a difference of TWO DAYS for a practically brand-new device that had only been used twice.

But almost worse than the response itself was the attitude: arrogant, cocky and showing absolutely no interest in trying to solve the problem. It honestly feels as though once they have taken your money, the customer simply becomes an inconvenience.

And the most unbelievable part: I have now been WITHOUT THE DEVICE FOR A MONTH AND A HALF. I paid for a product that failed almost from the beginning, I have suffered the consequences of it not working, and on top of that I have been unable to use it for weeks while they have had my device.

When it comes to selling, everything is easy. It is only when something goes wrong that you discover what kind of company you are really dealing with.

After this experience, I cannot recommend either the product or, especially, the after-sales service in Spain. A product of this type needs technical support and customer service that matches its price. My experience has been exactly the opposite.

If you are considering buying one, I would seriously take this experience into account before spending your money.

I highly recommend this company and their radar detectors. They’ve always helped me whenever I was stuck. All I had to do was call or send a message, and they explained everything to me calmly and clearly. Everyone I dealt with was very helpful and friendly. I definitely recommend this company and their products.

Great products. Have been using Genevo ONE M for more than five years and Genevo Guard 77 for almost two years.
Since using them I'm ticket free. 10/10 products.

Ordered wrong part by accident. Spoke to one of the guys who was very helpful told him what i needed he said post back wrong one i ordered and he refund me and send me out the correct part i needed and didnt charge me for the part or for postage if only all businesses were like this. I have 2 x Genevo "Max", both had some issues as the screens blurred, had "burn ins". Genevo offered me free repair, even if the devices were over the guaranteeperiod i assume. It took no time and i got the 2 devices back, free if charge. Great! Thanks a lot!

We don't really have issues with permanent built speed cameras, as if the authorities would dare to put one up. In the middle of the night a farmer or similar will come along and tear it out of the side of the road(they give up on that one). I live in Northern Ireland in south Armagh. Our issues is mobile speed vans which hide behind trees for an hour or two and quickly vacate because the locals now know where they are and bricks will soon come flying in that direction if they don't move. Is the Genova max worth buying?. I'm a Trucker and we keep getting done for being over 40 in single track roads..We are cash cows! Safety my A**.

En relación a Genevo España (distribuidor oficial). Adquirí in Genevo Max y tras 4 meses ni un sólo aviso a parte de los de la base de datos GPS. Pregunté específicamente en el foro oficial dos veces por el Velolaser y me confirmaron que funcionaba. Pués nada de nada, he pasado varias veces por delante y no detecta velolaser, ni sacándolo por la ventanilla a 20 metros. Contacté por e-mail para sustitución y devolución y tras unas vagas excusas y aclaraciones contradictorias con la información de su propio foro oficial dejaron de contestar lavándose las manos. No lo recomiendo. Rozando la publicidad engañosa o al menos una grave desinformación en cuanto a especificaciones. ***Update October 29th 2025. I went to genevo dor com website, added the genevo max to my cart and when you click to purchase it clearly warns you that you're being redirected to the official partner distributor, where I've been misinformed so that's why Trustpilot allows this review. You could have helped me when I contacted your distributor, you did nothing and now you talk about my "communication style"?. Of course you can help me. Refund me. You just flagged my review. Krabička Genevo Max je opravdu výrobek, na který si zvyknete a už bez něj nebudete chtít jezdit. Skrytá policejní auta dokáže odhalit z velké dálky a na úsekovém měření ukazuje průměrnou rychlost, takže vím, jestli musím zpomalit a o kolik. Jejich databáze stacionárních radarů se pravidelně aktualizuje, takže chráníte svůj řidičský průkaz a zároveň neplatíte zbytečné pokuty do rozpočtů měst, které to mají jako dobrý příjem.
Český výrobce si dal s vývojem opravdu záležet a super je i jeho případná pomoc, když se cokoli rozbije po záruce.

I bought a Genevo GPS+ as a gift for someone who didn't have a GPS phone to use in the car.

I have no complaints about the product: it's doing its job.

However, there are some issues that I consider serious.

Although it supports practically all of Europe, you can only choose between three languages: the voice output is useless for Italian speakers.

The second issue is that the database is only updated using a Windows PC! I consider this a major problem. First, because you have to unplug the device from the car every time and take it to where your PC is; second, because it requires you to have a Windows operating system.

The company offers to update the device for people like me who don't have Windows sending it to them, but the solution makes no sense: every month you have to separate yourself from the device for a week to update the database: impractical.

The third issue is that the database is updated for a year, after which you have to buy the update every month as it comes out. In this case, given the cost of the database, it's better to throw away the device, buy another one, and thus have another 12 months of support.

Byl jsem řidič z povolání a za těch 35 let jsem nedostal nikdy pokutu, ani jsem nepřišel o body. A bylo to asi štěstí, které nade mnou stálo a určitě i zkušenosti kde policie ráda měří. Rychlost jsem určitě nedodržoval, prostě mě to procházelo. Nyní jsem majitelem Genevo Max a již druhý den mě upozornil na hlídku, kterou bych nečekal, super. Ušetřené peníze a hlavně body. Genevo určitě doporučuji.

I had a small issue with a product, and the support team handled it quickly and professionally. They even sent me a replacement cable free of charge — twice! I really appreciate how helpful and understanding they were throughout the whole process.

První detektor Protector 960 MCZ Al jsme namontovali v roce 2018 do BMW 760 Li, další do Cadillac Escalade 2019 a v roce 2024 do BMW iX1. Vždy fungovaly spolehlivě a zachránily nám spoustu financí a starostí o záchranu řidičáku. Do BMW iX1 v roce 2024 jsme poprvé dali s automatickou aktualizaci a mobilní aplikaci. Po roce užívaní ještě více a moc spokojení, odpadlo vytahování SD karty a aktualizace na PC a ovládání přes mobilní aplikaci, kdykoli a kdekoliv a intuitivně s doporučeným nastavením. Nyní budeme předělávat starší z roku 2018 protector 960mcz na automatickou aktualizaci, vymění se jenom řídící jednotka, zabudované antény a instalace zůstanou. Neuvěřitelné, že nebudu muset kupovat nové celé zařízení a přeinstalovat celé auto. Výměna bude trvat cca 1 hodinu. Toto je úžasné, jako celá zákaznická podpora a servis a přístup celé firmy. Nedokážu si už ani představit, že bych vyjel bez funkčního aktualizovaného detektoru v dnešní době, kdy obce si daly jako další příjem vybíraní pokut na místech, kde vůbec nemusí být omezení. Máme v plánu další nákupy aut a už Víme, že budeme instalovat Genovo
