Have ordered from Jaques of London a few times now and dispatch and delivery have always been prompt and without any delays or problems. The toys are beautifully presented in boxes with ribbon which is a lovely touch and no need to wrap for gifting as they look great just as they are. I’m really happy with the quality of the toys, the wooden ones are sturdy and often colourful so very engaging for little ones. I highly recommend this shop!

BUYER BE WARE.
I had bought some lovely items from them in the past.
However, I bought the Child's first Guitar last May, to keep for Christmas present for my Granddaughter.
Sadly, on Christmas Day when she opened it, it could not be tuned to play.
I was extremely disappointed and contacted JAQUES Toys after Christmas.
Sadly, good will did not apply to this situation, purchase.
I even explained I'd had Breast Cancer surgery, hence getting ahead for Christmas to come, when I bought it last May.
I would say, BUYER BE Ware, they have a 60 day policy!
This GUITAR is not a first guitar, it cannot be tuned! Therefore, according to Trading Standards, NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE, NOT AS DESCRIBED.
Very disappointed customer.

We’re truly sorry to hear of your disappointment and completely understand how frustrating this must have been, especially as the gift was intended for such a special occasion.
While we always aim to be as understanding and supportive as possible, we do need to apply our product warranty policy consistently across all purchases. Our warranty covers manufacturing faults reported within 60 days of purchase, and unfortunately, your order from May falls outside of this period. For that reason, we were unable to offer a refund or replacement in this instance.
That said, we did offer some practical guidance via email that may help resolve the issue, such as how to correctly tighten the guitar strings. Many of our customers have found this helpful, as the strings can often slip slightly during storage or transit and may simply need re-tuning using the included pegs.
We’re sorry again that your experience this time has not lived up to the standard you’ve previously come to expect from us. Your feedback has been passed along to our product team for review, and we do truly appreciate your past support.

Avoid for your children's health and safety! Mouldy and rusty toys.
We received a Jaques of London Activity Cube and Balltrack for our daughter for her first Christmas from her grandparents. The Activity Cube has mould on it and the Balltrack has rusty screws. This was extremely embarrassing for my parents as this was her first Christmas and they wanted to get her good gifts.
We have reported the issues to Jaques who have refunded my parents for the toys after a bit of back and forth but that hasn't compensated us for the hassle of dealing with this over Christmas and New Year or having to dispose of the faulty toys ourselves.
Unimpressed with their handling of this issue and won't be having any other toys of theirs as they are clearly a health and safety risk to children.
This is especially bad considering the toys have a card saying who they were hand packed by. This is either a lie and they are not hand packed or is a massive quality check failure. Either way it is poor and will be reported to Trading Standards due to the health and safety aspect.
I'd avoid using this company and we won't be accepting toys from Jaques for our children again.

We are truly sorry and extremely concerned to hear about the condition of the items you received. This is absolutely not the standard we expect from our products, particularly where the health and safety of children is concerned. We understand how upsetting and disappointing this experience must have been, especially given the importance of the occasion.
We can confirm that the issues raised were escalated internally and reviewed thoroughly by our product and quality assurance teams. We have also already processed a full refund for the items and are continuing to investigate this further with our warehouse to ensure this does not happen again.
Please rest assured that we take all matters of product safety very seriously. Our toys are designed and manufactured in accordance with EN71 toy safety standards and undergo regular testing, but we recognise that this does not negate the distress caused in your case.

Nearly all good.…
Ordered several things and the majority were excellent - however one of the ‘frogs’ on the ‘Catching Frogs’ game was split. This meant that the tack was loose and came out!
Luckily we found it before our 2 year old granddaughter.
We have used wood glue to repair it, but I think quality control could do with a word.

I had an issue with delivery (FedEx) but customer service was brilliant, even across the holiday period and it was quickly resolved. Would definitely purchase again from Jaques and would recommend to others.

Ordered the My First Fabric Fishing…
Ordered the My First Fabric Fishing Game for Grandson's birthday on 24th December. On first use the rod split apart. Very poorly constructed. I have had two attempts to send an email enquiry regarding this issue. On both occasions it says "failed to fetch" There doesn't appear to be any other contact method.

Beautifully presented wooden toys. I have bought a few as presents for different children and they look well made. It was good to be able to give wooden toys rather than plastic. They look colourful which attracted the attention of the young children they were given to and were played with straight away.

I had a problem with the courier and Jacques sorted this out very promptly. Website is easy to order from. I have used the company for a few years now and love their wooden toys. Grandchildren and Great Nephew received Christmas Present which they love.

Great quality, dominoes, box and packaging
Delivered on time, really nicely packaged, little signed hand packed card was a nice touch. Bought dominoes set as a gift, really decent quality and weight. Recipient delighted, Dominoes are also in a handy presentation/storage box too.

I bought my son a wooden hammer bench…
I bought my son a wooden hammer bench for part of his Christmas. The sides of the bench just fall off and the blocks just fall through the holes so can't hammer them. Waste of money won't shop here again.
