About Littlefair's
Back in 2001, Les G. Littlefair began stocking wood stain products in his Darwen based bric-a-brac shop and soon noticed how well the products sold. As a joiner with an eye for perfection, he believed he could create an even better product that could enhance any untreated wood. After months of perfecting a product that was easy to use, environmentally friendly and beautiful to look at, Les began selling his first range. It wasn’t long until the success of his products enabled him to leave the bric-a-brac trade and concentrate on cultivating his own brand.
Based in Blackburn, Littlefair’s are multi award winning manufacturers of water-based wood dyes, varnishes, finishing oils and wax polishes. In addition to selling online we supply a number of trusted stockists – please look on the ‘find a stockist’ section on our website to locate your nearest stockist!
We were delighted recently to land the 2021 Distinction Award for Customer Service Excellence, awarded by SME News, as our values centre around providing the finest quality products and great customer service. We believe in a personal touch, giving a unique service to our customers and encouraging them to get in touch if we can help in any way. Often Les himself will reply!
We possess a passion for British craftmanship which flows through our whole organisation, from the manufacturers and packers to the customer service team and we are proud to have cultivated an environment of honesty and integrity which filters down to our customers. Being a family-run business, we ensure conscientious care and attention goes into each element of our production process, all the way up until the customer has finished their own project.

Excellent Interior Wood Stain
The interior wood stain from Littlefair's is excellent - the dark walnut is a lovely rich colour. Application of the stain is very easy - a little goes a long way and the finish is smooth and consistent. Highly recommend this wood stain. Delivery from Littlefair's is always fast and reliable, with the item well packaged.

Easy to use
Easy to use
I used a mix of Anglian oak and gilded oak to get the shade I wanted. I had to work fast as it quickly soaked into the sanded old pine floor boards. I rollered one board at a time if it went over it did leave a line but by the third coat it all levelled out.

It is the best product I have ever…
It is the best product I have ever bought. It is super easy to work with, not sticky or taking years to dry. It is easy to brush on, layer after layer. I cannot recommend this product enough. Service is top-notch and arrived on the day they said it would. Perfect!

They are my first choice when I need wood dyes and finishing products
I have used Littlefair's for many years and have found every product I have used has worked really well (the floor products are the only ones I haven't used yet)
Instructions are clear and simple to use.
