About Littlefair's
Back in 2001, Les G. Littlefair began stocking wood stain products in his Darwen based bric-a-brac shop and soon noticed how well the products sold. As a joiner with an eye for perfection, he believed he could create an even better product that could enhance any untreated wood. After months of perfecting a product that was easy to use, environmentally friendly and beautiful to look at, Les began selling his first range. It wasn’t long until the success of his products enabled him to leave the bric-a-brac trade and concentrate on cultivating his own brand.
Based in Blackburn, Littlefair’s are multi award winning manufacturers of water-based wood dyes, varnishes, finishing oils and wax polishes. In addition to selling online we supply a number of trusted stockists – please look on the ‘find a stockist’ section on our website to locate your nearest stockist!
We were delighted recently to land the 2021 Distinction Award for Customer Service Excellence, awarded by SME News, as our values centre around providing the finest quality products and great customer service. We believe in a personal touch, giving a unique service to our customers and encouraging them to get in touch if we can help in any way. Often Les himself will reply!
We possess a passion for British craftmanship which flows through our whole organisation, from the manufacturers and packers to the customer service team and we are proud to have cultivated an environment of honesty and integrity which filters down to our customers. Being a family-run business, we ensure conscientious care and attention goes into each element of our production process, all the way up until the customer has finished their own project.

Top notch customer service
Top notch customer service. When I sent a message asking for advice on Littlefair's Water Based Wood Dyes I was super-impressed to receive not a message in reply, but a phone call from Les Littlefair himself. I didn't feel rushed to complete the call, and spent a very informative 15 minutes chatting and soaking up the information I was given. When I had further questions a few days later, once again I received a phone call from Les to give me advice.
This is service above and beyond the call of duty. I'm so impressed!

High quality products (wood dye & Titan…
High quality products (wood dye & Titan Matt). It's done a great job on my oak floor when it was stripped. Very impressed with the outcome.
When I called littlefairs they were extremely helpful when I asked what type of roller I should be using for their titan product (low pile or foam if anyone is interested) and came back to me by phone within an hour of asking the question

Easy to use website and great to get a reduction in price We purchased a few sample colours which arrived quickly and well packaged We went on to purchase a larger version of our chosen colour which we have yet to use on our new staircase
Would definitely recommend this company website for ease of use, quick delivery and information throughout the process and I’m pretty sure we’ll be happy with our finished result

Great product
Arrived on time. Exactly as described. Great product, easy to use and a little went a long way. Would definitely buy again. Bought distressed pine wood stain and it made new wood look quite old, just as I wanted!
