About Littlefair's
Back in 2001, Les G. Littlefair began stocking wood stain products in his Darwen based bric-a-brac shop and soon noticed how well the products sold. As a joiner with an eye for perfection, he believed he could create an even better product that could enhance any untreated wood. After months of perfecting a product that was easy to use, environmentally friendly and beautiful to look at, Les began selling his first range. It wasn’t long until the success of his products enabled him to leave the bric-a-brac trade and concentrate on cultivating his own brand.
Based in Blackburn, Littlefair’s are multi award winning manufacturers of water-based wood dyes, varnishes, finishing oils and wax polishes. In addition to selling online we supply a number of trusted stockists – please look on the ‘find a stockist’ section on our website to locate your nearest stockist!
We were delighted recently to land the 2021 Distinction Award for Customer Service Excellence, awarded by SME News, as our values centre around providing the finest quality products and great customer service. This product is fantastic
I bought the English Walnut stain for my stairs and it is amazing. I was slightly dreading doing this project but the product is so good and easy to use that it made it easy. Would defintiely recommend. Haven't used the varnish yet but already happy with the look.

The dyes are great
The dyes are great, they give a lovely natural finish, easy to apply and go a long way. I used several different colours on a pallet clad wall and then sealed it with their matt water based varnish. I'm so pleased with the finished result the colours are great, it looks very natural and it has really made the wall look great.

Customer service was excellent! I had some questions about the wood stains and was answered not just quickly but with knowledgeable and helpful advice. Fast delivery and an excellent product too. Used Golden Pine for my new 'work from home desk', colour exactly as website and sample, really happy with service and product.

Purchased a smaller size for the…
Purchased a smaller size for the perfect sample size to try before buying a bigger pot. The ebony dye really enhanced the chair I’m working on beautifully. A really lovely ebony black was achieved so jet my expectations… Loved it so much went onto to purchase the larger size! Highly recommended product and seller.

Wood stain delivered in 4 days
Wood stain delivered in 4 days, does what it says, first time I have used a water based stain and am very impressed with the results. Great range of colours.
Only bleat having ordered a sample followed by an order a refund on the sample would have been a nice touch.
