I am so disappointed in the product, the after sales and the whole process. Having ordered our cabin last Summer (2021) it was finally installed Jan 2022. All the windows leaked - whole floor flooded and the door blew open despite being locked ... After sales shocking. Such poor customer service beyond talking about. New door ... now sticks and doesn't lock; also all the boards have now dropped so white lines where you can see the undercoat now visible across all the cabin. The whole cabin needs repainting .... And guess what? No support. Don't buy - don't bother just don't. Total waste of money. For the cost I'd expect better quality and better service.

Like so many people I now find myself working from home almost all the time. I needed to create somewhere I could work away from the house. When we started looking for garden offices we found the Malvern Collection at a nearby Garden Centre in Hassocks. We really liked the Corner Studio as it fits well in the top corner of the garden.

After getting a solid base installed by a local builder, the Malvern team installed the Studio. I am really happy with the new space, its well constructed and despite the cold wet weather its a great place to work. I really like the double glazing and long windows and doors that let plenty of light in. The extra insulation and paneled walls I ordered make the interior really warm, bright and spacious feeling.

The install team were excellent arrived nice and early and were really helpful working with me on installing the first fix cabling and network where I wanted it that made it a breeze for my electrician to second fix.

Absolutely superb product and service.
We purchased a Charford Garden Room and it is exactly as we hoped.
The installation service was 1st class, Gary, Matt and Rich E were professional, diligent and polite at all times.
We would be more than happy to purchase from Malvern again and as such are very happy to recommend them to anyone looking for an excellent quality product and 5* service.

I'm sending this email not to complain about the quality of the shed or the fitting team, both of which are very good.

However after sales seems to be a different matter.

When we purchased the shed from our local garden center we were told that when we paid the full amount we would be able to choose a date which suited us. When I called to pay the remaining amount I was advised that the shed would be coming and the date, if I wanted to move the date it could be a further 20 weeks. So I kept the date as I had already waited nearly 20 weeks.

We had our old shed taken away and unfortunately at this point realised that we needed a new fence panel and a brand new base. As soon as I was aware of the issue I advised that I needed to push the date out. I put my hands up this was on the Monday and the shed was Coming on the Wednesday. At this point I was hit with a 90 pounds charge (10% of the vale of the shed). I didn't have much choice but to say yes as I have nowhere to store the shed and I'm unable to erect a shed on my own.

I was invoiced for the charge and when I phoned up to settle the bill I asked what the fee covered as it seemed very high. I was advised it was to cover the missing work for the installers. I wanted the shed, so paid the bill but asked if I could be called an hour before installation. I was advised that I would be the last drop so they would be with me around lunch time and would call me.

My shed came on Friday the 3rd as advised. However the guys were at my house at 8.30am and called me to say they were at my house. Based on the information I was given I had gone out and could have gone to work. The installers were great and had the shed up in 30 minutes.

I have the following issues

1) Your fitters are not on £90 an hour so I feel the fee is excessive.
2) I was given wrong information regarding the delivery and based my day off around this.
3) When I called to say the information regarding delivery was wrong, I was advised that your team would never tell a customer that.

I feel your fees are excessive and that your office team does not back up the high quality products you provide.

Purchased building last September and paint flaked. After sales service rubbish. Many many calls and complaints but no result. Have to pay for repaint myself

Bought a 7 ft Studio Corner Summerhouse which was installed on Monday. I purchased from the Old Barn Garden Centre on A24 at Dial Post, near Horsham. The Salesman, Ricardo, could not have been more helpful. My husband has dementia but Ricardo was so nice to him on the day of purchase. The waiting time was as given at time of order. Just before delivery I found I had an issue with the level of the base, but Ricardo made a site visit and miraculously sorted the issue by finding a Base Contractor to lay a new base on the Friday prior to delivery on Monday. He was calmness personified and I cannot thank him enough for his help. The fitters arrived as indicated at 7.30 am and again were extremely pleasant. Am thrilled with the summerhouse and have already managed to sit in it for coffee. Thoroughly recommend the summerhouse, Ricardo the salesman and Oli the base contractor.

I bought an Astwood with Malvern Garden Buildings at the Old Barn Garden Centre, and I couldn't be happier.
Ricardo, the sales assistant, was such a lovely person, kind, patient, explaining in a way I could understand and regularly giving me updates.
All the experience was exactly as he described, lead times, the installation team were great, such amazing people your company has.

We have had a Hanley installed (12 x 8). The product so far is great and looks very good.
We had a problem however with Malvern and feel their customer service is lacking. After waiting about 15 weeks from placing our order the installers arrived but told us the base was not level enough. It was not the fault of the installers. The error was mostly down to us, however, Malvern was also at fault. We showed pictures of the prepared slab for the building to the salesperson at both Plymouth and Cheltenham (no Hanley at Plymouth so we went to Cheltenham). We were told it would be fine. The picture that Malvern send out showing the base with a spirit level on it is misleading. The base needs to be level from edge to edge and not just sections of it. The installers put the un-assembled garden room in our garage and went away, again the problem was not theirs.
We had ordered it to make use of at our son's wedding.
The error with the leveling of the base was sorted out within a week and we informed Malvern of his fact.
We were told we would get it erected when they had a cancellation which we were told was common. However, after waiting throughout the summer no cancellation slot came our way. After waiting for a further 12 weeks we were eventually given a slot, this was after my wife wrote to Malvern's parent company. If this had not worked we were heading down the legal route. The garden room was installed on the 11/12th Oct 21 some 30 weeks after placing our order and after a further £711 had to be paid although we had stored it in our garage for 12 weeks.
We were not offered the use of a surveyor to view the base prior to the initial installation date. This may have cost us but probably less than the £711.
Again, the product looks fine so far and the instalation team were very good but BE AWARE, if you have a problem then the customer service at Malvern leaves a lot to be desired.

Studio Pent - We are using our garden room as an office and extra room from the house for the adults or kids to escape to, watch films, read books or work. It's a dream. We are so impressed with our garden room, it's beautiful, stylish and practical. We have an electric heater and during the cold days we only need it on briefly for the building to warm and maintain it's heat. It's lovely and quiet even during stormy weather and it dulls out the sound of neighbours mowing. We have been extremely happy with the quality and service that we have had along the way. I think for the price, it's a brilliant way to extend your home environment and a great place to escape the kids!

From ordering to the guys coming building the experience was excellent. I now know why…. They had not received my money. Great service until you pay the bill.
I have had a leak that is coming through the window every time it rains.
I’ve called each time they apologise and say somebody will contact me.
Cabin was delivered in May. July I informed them of my issue.
No contact at all.
Disgusting aftercare. Do not touch these guys. They take your money and run.
At the end of the day the are not the cheapest so I was expecting a far better service. How wrong was I.

I have had an exceptional experience with Malvern Buildings. As a professional writer, my Garden Room or Summerhouse needed to have structural excellence, but also atmospheric quality. It is for me to work on theatre scripts, various projects related to the dreadful fracture of our country's values and quality of life. Malvern have attended to all details of my need from start to finish. They created a special room for me, as being a smaller size of Virginia Woolf's Garden Room at Monks House, Rodmell.
The building exceeds all my expectations. The quality is outstanding. It looks as though it belongs
there! I am, quite simply, delighted, entranced and at home in there. It has expanded the garden views, it gives me a place closer to nature, birds, plants, where I can all the better call upon my creativity. Every friend has praised it to the skies! Several friends who live a distance, are fighting to be the first to sleep overnight in it. All my visitors choose it as the place to talk or plan. It is a perfect private and collaborative space, professionally and otherwise. Malvern recommended Thierry Huser for the preparatory work. Excellence again. I will never forget the day it was built. Courteous builders, sharing my excitement, checking with me.
Don't go anywhere else. Whatever the purpose of your building, Malvern will attend to all needs and concerns. Mine is the very best to be had. Thank you to all who have made this happen. Nicki Jackowska, writer and performer, aged 79.

UPDATE and CORRECTION: Malvern Garden Buildings has EXCELLENT customer service, but I now learn are only the AGENT and not the manufacturer or installer of the Malvern Collection Garden Buildings (made by MPB Garden Buildings Ltd) they sell, whose after sales department have let me down. Malvern Garden Buildings' customer service department has been very helpful since I submitted my original review in clarifying the situation.

We had a Summerhouse Installed last week and are extremely pleased with it. It sits beautifully in the garden and looks as if it has been there for a long time.
There was a long time between ordering and installation but that was understandable in the current situation.
Planning and liaison in the lead up period was efficient and the team were on site early, as arranged, and had completed the work in under 6 hours. We love it!

Terrible company to deal with, don’t buy anything from them. They are all very nice when they are taking your money then it all stops. The shed was fitted and the guys who did it were great. On being installed the doors were bowed, I’m now 4 months down the line and know replacement doors or update when they will be changed. I went to Toad Hall on the weekend to raise it with the guy I bought the shed from only to be told they are not really part of the company and couldn’t help me. He couldn’t distance himself quick enough from the problem, at which point I said you weren’t saying that when I bought it from you. Terrible customer service and awful communication.

Terrific experience, great Studio Pent ordered from Mark at the showroom who was extremely helpful. Installation was great, team polite friendly and really efficient, job done and office ready in under a day. Great value in comparison with other companies.

Very poor service through-out.

We ordered a Newland Pavillion and started off having to chase Malvern for CAD drawings to submit with a planning application.
On the arranged day of fitting, the two fitters turned up at 3.30pm constantly moaning about the team in the office asking them to deliver jobs in unreasonable timescales. They left site without completing the build and promised a team would return the next day to complete. Which they didn't. We were left to chase Malvern and eventually got a reply saying the distance from the lorry to the installation was too far and we should have pre-warned them. Which we already had and didn't consider twenty metres that far! After further chasing we got a date for a team to return and complete the summerhouse. They arrived but missed one of the finishing strips, a drop bolt was misaligned and the shed lock did not work. yet again, we had to chase, phoning numerous times. A third team eventually returned five weeks after the initial installation and forgot to address the faulty lock. Still chasing Malvern now and was promised a call back by then end of today, which of course never happened! Needless frustration and not what you expect for the money, we would thoroughly not recommend them.

We had a Studio Pavilion from Malvern Garden Buildings. We worked with the team to design the best layout for our requirements - we are living in the Studio Pavilion while we have a farmhouse renovated - so we've even got a bathroom in the area which is normally the shed section. The Studio Pavilion has really stood the test of time as it's 2 years next week since we had the MGB built AND we live in a really windy location in North Wales. The team who delivered and constructed our unit were very friendly, quick and helpful. We did have some glass to ground which broke in transit but these were reordered straightaway and fitted as soon as was physically possible. We've also had great after sales customer care. If you asked us how MGB could be any better, an online tool to design your own unit and move windows and doors around to see what it would look like would really help new customers.

Unsafe product and nothing but problems from the start. Ordered a Malvern garden room after seeing it advertised at Kew Gardens, hoping that offers some assurance about the quality of the product. The door had a huge gap, and it took Malvern a year to sort it out. This affected moisture getting in the building, as the ceiling has now collapsed. We advised Malvern on 5 April that the ceiling has bowed and is unsafe, first they they refused to deal with it citing warranty, but then agreed to sort it, but we are now at end of July and they haven't replied with a date for a visit. Some of the windows have now failed and more gaps appeared. We are taking this up with lawyers, but recommend avoiding this company - poor, unsafe, overpriced products and appalling customer service. Very disappointed.

UPDATE - After posting this review, Malvern came out promptly and replaced the ceiling. It was discovered that the original Malvern installer didn’t insulate and didn’t build it properly. I’m glad I can finally use the harden room, but it took Malvern 4 months to sort the ceiling, so still only 3 stars.

We have been extremely impressed from start to finish with everyone we have dealt with at Malvern. People have been professional, approachable and reliable at all points, from purchasing to erecting the summer house on site. Things happened as we were informed and the communications were all very easy. The team erecting it worked very hard on a hot day, were efficient, courteous and very tidy and respectful of the property.

We also are extremely impressed with the quality of the building. It was great to be able to make adjustments to the plan to individualise it, and to adjust the initial order. The quality of the finish is excellent, we just have one window which is still sticking a bit. Otherwise the snagging and the touching up was excellent.

The team have been excellent from start to finish.
