From the moment we walked on to the Malvern stand at RHS Tatton we've barely stopped smiling ! Jason was extremely helpful, even visiting to inspect our site early morning before getting to the show. The team arrived bang on time and led by Andy did a great job at erecting our building. But saving the best to last, dealing with Majella Lloyd is a real joy, from initially leading the sale to guiding us through the order process and sorting out any inevitable (there were very few) minor hiccups along the way. Whenever we look at our building it'll always make us smile at the laughter and fun we enjoyed in dealing with Majella.

We have had a Malvern summerhouse for around 10 years and have been very pleased with it. However despite regular maintenance, some of the panels have deteriorated and need to be replaced as the wood has rotted. Malvern were very unhelpful when we contacted them about this; they delayed in responding to us before telling us they couldn't help with the repairs as it was out of warranty, nor did they recommend anyone who might be able to assist. Disappointing

Our new shed was delivered on Tuesday. The install team were quick, efficient and very tidy. The shed its self is excellent and great build quality. Big thanks to Simon Cockfield who guided us through the purchase and came over to check all the dimensions. Thank you all for a great service.

Our Harwood building was delivered and installed about 10 days ago and we are absolutely thrilled with it. It has really transformed our garden, and we are amazed how much it holds! We ae thoroughly enjoying sitting in it too. Thank you so much for everyone's help, patience and guidance throughout the whole process. The staff at the sales site, the Head Office staff and the installers were all excellent. Nothing was too much trouble.
Would not hesitate to highly recommend your company.

Guys who put the office in were ok but aftercare shocking!!! First date given back mid April was inconvenient as we were away but trying to get a new date seems impossible. Sent numerous emails in April and then in May, 5/5, 10/05, 24/05 and today for another time for a new date with no reply!

The plan/delivery installation was all ok and the shed itself is good quality. The shed base person they recommended to us kept fobbing us off/delaying so we used somebody else in the end which delayed us by a month. You are informed of a date the shed will be delivered rather than choosing it.

Unfortunately, when the shed was installed they left it without a functioning lock (the plate had been fitted too high so the lock doesn't fit into it,) It is difficult to believe the installers didn't check this before they left so it is hugely disappointing they left it that way.

I reported the fault to my local shop, expecting somebody to pop over and fix it pretty much straight away. But they have just forwarded it onto the head office. A few days later I had a voicemail to say 'they are trying to arrange a date'. When making the order, we thought we were dealing with a local company but it seems it is a huge company, potentially over-stretched and not able to provide the backup service you would hope for when spending large sums of money. I'm hoping they hurry up fixing the fault as we have been left disappointed, which is a shame as the shed itself, although pricey, is good quality.

We had a beautiful summer house installed on 15th April in 5hrs by a super team... Andy and Nick.
They were punctual, professional and very experienced.They didn't stop for a minute and we couldn't be more pleased with the end result. Thank you

Last week I had a 10 x 8 Malvern Ashton Garden building installed and I am absolutely thrilled with it.

Julie at the Old Barn (Horsham) site in Sussex handled my initial enquiry on a cold damp afternoon in January and continued to be informative, helpful with advice and a pleasure to deal with throughout the entire ordering and pre build process.
Queries and the payment formalities that I had were efficiently dealt with by the main office leaving me with a very positive impression of the Malvern staff and their product.
On the day of the build Andy and Luke arrived exactly at the time stated, despite a long journey from Worcestershire down to Sussex, and worked solidly in the inevitable rain! They were efficient, professional and polite and are a credit to Malvern.

I would not hesitate to recommend Malvern Garden Buildings and very much look forward to enjoying my Ashton building this summer (once it finally gets going!) and for many years to come.......

From the moment we first made contact with Simon at the Nottingham showrooms to the final installation, we cannot fault anything at all with this company! Absolutely brilliant from start to finish! Simon was very thorough & helpful and after we placed an order for a Mara, we were contacted by their head office to confirm the order and plan an installation date. We were kept fully informed and the week before installation, the team confirmed times and the details of the installation procedure.
At 8am, as previously advised, two really polite, friendly men arrived to carry out the work. Aaron & Gus were efficient, tidy and did an excellent job of building the Breeze House. They spent time when they were finished to explain about ongoing care etc.
The quality of workmanship in the manufacture to the final installed product is excellent! We are absolutely thrilled with it and cannot wait to make good use of our Breeze House once the weather warms up a little!
We are so thankful for the great service and product we have received from Malvern Garden Buildings and would not hesitate in recommending them to anyone looking for a beautiful garden room!

If you wish to deal with a company whose standards of communication and customer service hark back to well before the Dark Ages, Malvern are your people. I sincerely wished I had read the Trustpilot reviews before deciding to spend thousands of pounds on one of their products.
The sales people I dealt with were very pleasant - but I suppose that’s a fundamental requirement - as were the chaps who delivered the shed (12 x 10 Heavy Duty Reverse Apex). You should be aware that Malvern don’t want a customer to do a self-build – they’d rather get some more money for that service – and this is borne out by the wholly inadequate plans/description which quaintly show a guy in a suit building one of their products. And it could be any of their many sheds, as there is no specific guidance for the model you buy, or a list of the parts your receive. This was the first hint I had of their antediluvian business model.
I’m not going to detail here the elements of poor quality control for which I decided to seek a refund; you are welcome to contact me if you wish. What you must realise is that should you have any issues with your purchase there is no such thing as a Customer Service department at Malvern. In fact, I don’t think they understand the concept. (I see from glassdoor.co.uk that they didn’t have an HR department in 2021, and I doubt they have one now). Despite initially requesting that the Managing Director respond to my complaints I never got as far as dealing with anyone above the Transport Supervisor (why him?!) Your communications with Malvern – perfunctorily, and over weeks and months – will be with people who aren’t interested or don’t understand the issues. No-one will take the time to read your emails, so the same questions keep getting put to you. They have no system for escalating matters. The last person – the Transport guy – had to go back to some shadowy person for guidance, finally resulting in me being offered £250, against my opening pitch for £1,000.
The whole process was so life draining (from 25 October 2023 to 7 February 2024) I decided not to accept their offer and instead warn you that if you choose to spend money – and it will inevitably be £1,000’s – you should heed the advice, caveat emptor. The whole experience was so amazingly bad I cannot understand how companies like this survive.

We bought a 14ft by 10ft building from Hassocks Malvern. Simon was very helpful recommended contractors to lay the base and helped us to sort out an installation date. He has been super responsive to any queries we have had!

The installers were very professional and gave lots of advice. We have had a slight problem with the door and are awaiting a fix but it was easy to contact Malvern and they havr been quick in organising someone to come out

We bought a 16ft by 10ft studio flat from south down garden centre. We were served by Roger who was very friendly and helpful.
We ordered in October and the unit was installed yesterday. When the unit arrived they found that the base we had laid ourselves was slightly out, this nearly ended in a failed delivery however thankfully the fitters Gary and Matt kindly made a base using timber frame, they even had to go get the products and then build it!!
It literally saved us! Couldn’t be more greatful to Matt and Gary. Both of them were kind, professional and did a super job.

We went to the South Down Nurseries at Hassocks bear Brighton, saw the Mara Breeze House and fell in love with it. We met Simon and the team who were brilliant, excellent service from ordering to assembling.
The Mara is an asset to our garden, many thanks to all.

I was looking for a top class shed to replace my existing one which had reached the end of it's life. I visited Hassocks Garden Centre and was very impressed with the vast range of quality buildings on site. They had a really great, top quality shed on display which was advertised for sale at a huge discount due to it being 'ex-display'. The attractive price also included delivery and installation in my garden. I immediately approached the onsite Malvern sales team and they treated me with courtesy, respect and a professional eagerness to make sure the entire experience ran as smooth as possible. They even provided me with the names of a couple of local contractors who could help with the concrete base for the shed to stand on. A member of the Hassocks team also made a visit to my home to check if the existing base was adequate for supporting the new building. I was then given a delivery date from Head Office which was a little bit longer than I had planned, so they really tried their best to find a more suitable one. A few days later they contacted me and offered me an earlier date which was really helpful. The installation team arrived promptly on the arranged delivery day and were absolutely amazing. I couldn't believe how efficient and professional they were at installing the new building. The entire experience has been pleasant and I am very grateful to all of the people involved. Many thanks.

From start to finish, all the work went to plan and that included adding in the cost to remove my old shed and configuring the existing base and resizing it to support a bigger shed.
Simon Cockfield at the South Downs Garden Centre in Hassocks, W. Sussex, couldn’t have been more helpful in making sure the arrangements would work together.
The shed itself is out if the run of ‘ordinary’ sheds. This one is of superior quality in terms of the actual wood, it’s sturdiness, fittings and overall construction.
It will last a good many years.

I reported a split in the window frame. I was informed this is due to a knot in the wood that is a natural feature of redwood and is not detrimental to the building. They did provide some DIY instructions on how to fix this - sand back, fill with a hard wood filler, sand back again and repaint. I am not impressed that after 18 months I am purchasing filler and sandpaper to correct what I consider to be a lack of QA during construction. Any piece of wood with a knot so large that it could split after 18 months should be discarded during construction and not painted over. When I purchased the summerhouse I was told redwood simply needs to be repainted when knots appear. In my experience this definitely wasn't the case.

Problems with the door dropping about 1inch on one side interior of roof panels splitting cracking and warping even though there is no damage to roof felt . Phoned company about two weeks ago but still waiting for a follow up call to hear how they are going to resolve this very poor customer service
