I have noticed that everybody gets the same reply from Overdales, immediately. It is this:-

This is extremely unusual because they don’t do anything quickly and are dreadful at responding. I have also heard nothing else from them. This begs the influence that this is an automatic reply and is merely window dressing.

I am going to trial against them and I intend to publish the outcome widely. These people behave appallingly. However, it is very big business…for them.

No doubt soon after this is published the same automatic reply will be posted which will start… “HI BARRY”

Even the use of the word “Hi” it’s quite obnoxious given the friendliness is a complete fake.

My daughter-in-law, recently widowed and with two young children is being hounded and threatened by Overdales, working for Lowell’s! The alleged debt is, and has been in dispute for over 2 years but they are ignoring this matter and are despite being sent Cease and Desist letters still hounding her, causing much distress to both her and her young children. It is my understanding that if a debt is in dispute and Cease and Desist letters have been sent that these vile people should stop. Instead they are choosing to ignore this and pursue her, despite the recorded letters to them being signed for. They sent two men round knocking on her door with no advance warning. Now threatening her with CCJ. If they do this then it will be vigorously defended in court. Dreadful company who just ignore the fact that this matter is in dispute.

Missed one payment had an email to say don’t worry we haven’t cancelled your direct debit then two emails threatening bailiffs and extra charges I’m currently ill health and can’t afford the current payments telephone operator cancelled direct debit gave me two numbers to call I’m unwell on sickness benefits the stress of having to deal with all this is through the roof when all I wanted was a reduction in payment each month left feeling awful and worried by a condescending attitude! And no help with my repayments

If I could give less than a 1 star, I would do so. What an awful, horrible and disgusting company. I have never dealt with such awful people or Company. They are bullies and not interested in sorting anything out other than to threaten. The lady and I use that term very politely considering how she treated me - just disgusting. Hanging up on person without giving an explanation is despicable and unacceptable. I tried to explain I know nothing about and she was not interested in the slightest. Utterly disgusting and need stopping!!!

I get the call on Friday asking me give us your details I ask the lady what is reason she told me is a private matter I get the text message need to make payment no reference number nothing try to call no answer totally scam but I contact to my solicitors also check on my credit report nothing to pay

Overdales are the biggest crooks going within the so called debt collection service .
They issue fraudulent paperwork .

Wel I've been receiving letters from overdales solicitors...saying I owe £810 The letters don't say why I owe this about and what for.. Well let put this way I don't own anything. Plus all my bills are taken from direct debit.. this is big scam ...

WOW - Called and overdales advised they have no formal escalated complaints procedures. Called FCA and SRA - their governing bodies who asked....'what' of course they do.

Tried to negotiate a payment plan for a 68 year old disabled man with a heart condition and esophageal aneurysm, on pain meds and anti depressants.. Computer said no. None of these things matter. Equally advised of debt (and payment plan) on priority payments - heating and electricity (broken smart meter) and computer says no.

Incredible - absolutely no help and such personal questions to not support a man who has worked his whole life and has now found himself in a slight hole. £367 BT.....and the aggression of this company. Shame on you.

A payment plan was offered BUT only if I accepted further charges and a CCJ. WOW getting me in further debt when I am stressing and trying to fix it. Overdales literally refused to set a payment plan unless I accepted the additional charges and CCJ.

There is a scam going round either by text or by phone call asking you to call
Them regarding an important matter. I have no outstanding debt as it says these are a part or Lowell group and all my bills
Have been payed. If I owed anything then they should have sent a letter like everyone else does through the post. I can’t count the times I’ve blocked and reported this number. Which comes up as overdales

I have been involved in an ongoing legal dispute with O2, yet Overdales Solicitors repeatedly contacted me on behalf of Lowell despite being informed that the matter was already part of formal legal action. Their correspondence was persistent and sometimes aggressive, which I found distressing and unhelpful.

They also made misleading statements about their authority to act and failed to respect my request to deal directly with O2. Their involvement interfered with my legal process and affected my ability to resolve the dispute fairly.

All statements in this review are factual and supported by dated correspondence and legal records.

Horrible company to work with over debt.
The whole company needs looking into.
No compassion and not interested in your circumstances.

Ring my old work phone once or twice a week. Debt company in my eyes scamming as until i got new credit card recently i had a perfect Experian rating. Have no CCJs, very little debt on cards and only debt i had in past was 22 years ago which was paid when i got PPI pay out. I don't get any letters or emails from these people. So if you are in same boat then just block them as guy or now has my old work phone has done.

I don't have any debt I have contacted Overdale who checked my name age and address and I have nothing on their files but I keep getting answerphone messages 20 in the last month 😡I cannot answer the call as it just goes strait to my answerphone I have spoken she agreed to take my phone number off and I still get messages this has been happening since 19/09/25

They are scamming me for £100 I don’t even know who they are but we all can see why they 1 star ain’t getting a single penny off me

Totally nothing but a bunch of bullies...sending threatening letters and demanding payment or else. Not nice people at all. Especially in this day and age where the cost of living is going up and people are trying their best.

After reading these reviews online I really didn’t want to be calling them, I already have a lot going on and this could have tipped me over the edge, This was the last place I intended on leaving a review, but credit where credits due, I got to speak to a lady called Grace, who was kind, understanding and compassionate. Maybe if all staff had the same level of emotional intelligence there would be less bad reviews and people would openly communicate with yourselves. Thank you for a great experience and not making things worse grace

Harassing a fourteen year old boy about a debt with constant calls and messages for someone else. She gave you the wrong number!!!
I have now called and they asked for the name of the 14 year old boy!!!!!! Given reference number and phone number, it needs to stop now.
Other reviews also state that this company is harassing minors so not a sole occurrence.

Firms engaged in debt collection are required under FCA CONC 7 and the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 to verify who they are contacting.

This company are a absolute joke I have learning disabilities and I am vulnerable and this company are harassing me me for a debt for 3 network I’ve never even been with the company the debt goes back to 2017 now they have sold it on to overdales solicitors the debt was with Lowell debit collection agency I am getting threatened by court action now as any got any advice wot to do I am not going to contact these people I wanna know my rights because there’s noway they will get a penny out of me I won’t pay for debts I don’t owe after 6 years by law a debt collection agency can’t take action like CCJs for the debt and it’s inactive on the credit report this debt will be written off I had advise from CA
