Terrible service
The site was great long time ago and now it's gone downhill. To advertise I had to go through several procedures like passport upload, face scan, finance check. All of this just to find a suitable new owner for my cat. Two days in and my advert is still pending. I am seeing similar issue with people registering to buy. The customer service is very slow. Possibly due to extortionate number of people having similar problems.

It was mine first time on here a friend recommended so easy to use. Plus I like the way u pay /deposit for the animals / pets then have to press collect.to confirm. So u know that they will keep your pet till been and seen/collected . 100% use it again.

Too many scammers on this website, post pictures of dogs that they do not have in order to try and scam money off you, asking people to bank transfer them a deposit, people need to be careful

Thank you for raising this. We strongly advise all users never to transfer money directly via bank transfer outside of our platform.
Our official Pet Payments system holds deposit funds securely until the buyer sees the pet in person, specifically to prevent advance-fee scams. We encourage anyone who encounters a seller requesting off-site transfers to report the listing immediately using the report button on the advert.

I got my cockapoo pup from an advitiser on this site, also my first cockapoo now aged 2 years and two months.
I used the show me new ads, which was a bit hit and miss, specially not good with locations via my mobile, sent details over 100 miles away, however, I am still pleased with the overall experience, getting two lovely pups.

Terrible experience and still no…
Terrible experience and still no response. Looking for a kitten as I lost my 14 year old cat a few weeks ago.
Sent messages to a few adverts, then had request for £9.99 to send premium messages that buyers would receive straight away. Took my payment and restricted my account!
No response to emails sent, my messages not sent to buyers as no reply. Absolutely appalled at service received and requested immediate refund.

What am I doing wrong ?
I must be doing something wrong I have contacted 6 people with a view to purchasing a dog only one out of the 6 contacted me to say the dog had been sold-although it wasnt marked as closed until after she had contacted me , the breeder was very kind and offered me something else which wasn’t suitable .
The rest just don’t bother replying , I have filled in the initial notice about me and then contact to see if the dog is available so I can then have a chat. If I ring there is no one there. I am beginning to think the dogs don’t exist

Sellers are responsible for managing their own enquiries and keeping their adverts up to date, and we do encourage them to respond promptly, but we understand that doesn't always happen as it should. A few things that may help: using the in-app messaging system (rather than calling) tends to get faster responses, and filtering by adverts marked as "Available" can help avoid listings that may no longer be active. This site is a joke!! I’ve had my account blocked 3 times now over one add for selling a litter of pups. I’ve had to pay over and over again to repost the add, email numerous times just to be told “we apologise “. Really not good enough!!

Gave up in frustration
I saw a cat on this site that i was interested in viewing. I filled in the relevent information required to register, a security code would be sent to my email address, it didnt arrive, tried again, same thing happened, no code. I eventually found a section where I could email my problem. I received an email back advising me what to do(I had already tried what they suggest,nothing worked) They say they will respond to my problem, but it could take up to SEVEN DAYS!!
I gave up on Pets for Homes and the cat i was interested in, I will now look elsewhere.
Needless to say, as is so common now, no telephone number to actually speak to a human.
