While this ring, the Emilia engagement set, was very beautiful, I have to voice my concerns about this company's website descriptions for their stones.
They allow choices between "white created" or "natural white diamonds" - this language implies that the white created stones, in my opinion, are lab created diamonds. They are actually cubic zirconia, which are not at all suitable for every day or long term wear for engagement or wedding jewelry. A simple Google search will advise shoppers against cubic zirconia for everyday wear or long term durability - a company that makes and sells fine and engagement jewelry should not do otherwise.
They do have a materials list where they list created stones, but even there the correct words cubic zirconia are not until the second or third paragraph. This in my opinion is misleading marketing. I have never heard of a jeweler using these stones in fine jewelry, or describing them as "created stones". It is known these stones are not made for long term durability - it is a highly questionable bordering on unethical practice on this company's part to offer this option and advertise this as fine or engagement jewelry.
So, my fiance paid almost four thousand dollars for a hydrothermal sapphire set in platinum, but surrounded by cubic zirconia.
We are now paying a local jeweler to swap out the cubic zirconia for lab created diamonds to ensure that the piece is suitable for everyday and long term wear.
While I concede my fiance could and clearly should have read this website more carefully, I maintain that this advertising is misleading and that using inappropriate materials for engagement jewelry is dishonest and poor craftsmanship.
I love the unique and beautiful design of my ring, but it is a huge inconvenience and additional cost to correct a design flaw that should never have been offered.

My husband bought me the Aphrodite ring in sterling silver with a cz stone back in 2015 as an engagement ring. I was informed that due to the metal type it shouldn’t be a daily wear ring, but I have worn it anyway every single day. I have not lost a single stone, it is scuffed and scratched which is to be expected after 11 years. Even though I did not follow the manufacturers recommendations on care or wearability the ring has held up beautifully. A few years back i ordered the matching wedding band and it is also holding up and all stones are still intact. However i bought my husband the skull infinity band and he did bend it by wearing it to work. I do not fault the sellers for this because it is a thin band and he isn’t supposed to wear jewelry at his job for safety reasons so that was entirely on him. Overall we have ordered 3 rings at separate points in our life together and all of them are holding up exceptionally well even though we have went against the instructions provided. I hope to maybe get an updated wedding set from them in the near future and retire my original set. Also I have reached out to the seller just to ask clarifying questions over the years and aside from them being unable to find my husbands original order I have had no issues with the customer service provided. They answered my questions and reminded me my ring was not meant for daily wear but were happy to hear how well it was holding up.

I don't even know where to start, the customer service was exceptional and then the quality of the rings and the design! I will never buy from a jewelry shop again! Knowing how much time goes into these rings and the designs. I bought the queen of hearts with the band and I never want to take the ring off! Not only is this ring beautiful but just knowing how much went into it makes it is so special.

I purchased Castiel Noir last week and got it in full black 10k gold.I've spent ages online looking for something a bit different and finally came across these guys. Customer service was great, shipping was fast and the ring looks fantastic.

Not worth the extortionate price tag. The ring doesn't look like the chunky style one advertised on the page. It has a very thin band, tiny skulls and doesn't appear the same as the image. It will get damaged very easily due to how thin the band is.

Very disappointed given the overall cost of £472.

BEWARE IMPORT FEES!!Seller doesn't advertise on the website that you'll be charged extra fees. I checked their FAQs at the time and nothing was there.

My order was being held by the delivery company whilst I wait for Sapphire Design to respond to my query. Extremely disappointed that they haven't been transparent about fees and charges! The fees are just shy of £100...

Would not recommend to anyone due to the cheap materials, rings not matching images and massive price tag attached to something not worth a fifth of the cost.

Edit: I understand I can return this, but would stand to lose £250 in the process due to return costs, delivery fees, import fees and insurance

Additionally, I noticed there was no comment about the ring not looking lile the image supplied (i.e. the band is very thin instead of the chunky style in the imagery). This is why I said it's not worth it - I paid for, what looks like, a ring that is at least twice the thickness not a tiny band.

I’d been looking for a ring for months something that didn’t look like every other design out there. Very pleased I ordered from here as honestly, it’s even more beautiful in person than I expected. The design feels really unique and detailed you can tell it’s been crafted with care. It has a bit of weight to it, so it feels solid and well made.

I’ve already had a few people comment on it and ask where it’s from.
Overall, I couldn’t be happier the quality, the design, everything feels worth it.

I had a wonderful experience with Sapphire Studios. My partner found them when walking past their store in Melbourne when he was there for work (we were looking for 6 months for a ring at that stage) After a few months of deciding and going back and forth on custom options I landed on St Valentina. The ring is amazing and the customer services was fantastic from inception. Big shout out to the Sapphire team.

I highly recommended Sapphire Studios if you are after something a bit different. Most jewellery you see in other stores is all the same especially in Sydney.If you hate having something everyone else has like me then they are definitely the go to.

Wouldn't touch this company with a 10 foot pole , shoddy work and when asked for it to be fixed they expect you to pay for and insure your package *200-500$* process. Absolute clowns

I wanted an engagement ring that fitted perfectly with my girlfriend’s personality. Coming across Sapphire Studios and what they had to offer was a no brainer.

I ordered the ‘Nightfall’ Coffin Cut Skull Ring - black band - with a pink amethyst gem. It looks amazing.

I popped the question and she is now my fiancée.

Sapphire Studios were amazing, prompt, and delivered amazing quality in terms of the jewellery. I cannot recommend enough.

Purchased my partner the 'St Noir' engagement ring earlier this year. Absolutely incredible customer service and quality, the ring is beautiful and the customer services team assisted me with some last minute changes to the stone. They were very helpful and attentive to my requests and responded quickly. If you're looking for somewhere to get jewelry I can't recommend them enough, absolutely incredible!

Paid for a ring, also got the extra shipping insurance. The courier never attempted to actually deliver the parcel and took my 'leave parcels in red bin if no answer' sign to mean they could leave expensive parcels that are meant to be signed for in there too without knocking or ringing first and also without leaving a note or telling me where it is.

I didn't find out where it had been left until 4 days after 'delivery' when the courier called me with an update.

When I chased this up with the courier I was told (4 days later) a mystery 'young lady' was seen collecting the package out of the bin as the driver was leaving. I don't know who this young lady is, the driver watched someone who is not me take my package and did nothing to stop them, didnt take a name or picture or anything of the sort.

I paid extra for the travel insurance for something exactly like this so figured it would be no issue and I'd get a refund or at the very least a new one sent out for no extra cost as stated in their policy.

Much to my dismay they seem to consider this whole thing my fault purely because my sign said 'leave in red bin if no answer' despite the courier never attempting to get an answer. They offered me a 'slight discount on a replacent'.

Their lack of customer service is appalling. I have written to them multiple times over the past week and a half and now have under a week until the proposal date leaving me thousands of pounds out of pocket for a proposal planned abroad with no ring to propose with. They couldn't care less.

After nearly a full month someone from 3 streets away brought my parcel round because IT WAS DELIVERED TO THE WRONG ADDRESS.

They assumed it was for a neighbour on the same street who knew where it was and would come get it at some point, they didn't realise until they checked which house it was for and saw a competely different street name

Yet I was held accountable for this and refused help from the seller. My proposal plans have been and gone and I had to buy a replacement ring elsewhere. They made a mockery of what should have been one of the happiest experiences of my life.

Avoid at all costs

A few weeks ago I purchased Emilia with a natural black coffin centre and customised the side stones with ruby and white diamonds. It arrived without hassle and it looks amazing. I haven't stopped looking at it since it arrived.

I'll be back for my band for sure.

I'm not usually one to do reviews but I got really exceptional service from Sapphire Studios when I was in their store for a consult, and thought they deserve a review.

I have been looking for a unique engagement ring for some time and have been falling a bit flat in seeing anything unique. (Especially in Ballarat haha) so I thought stuff it ill look online. I came across Sapphire Studios on Insta about 5 months ago and have been on the end of my seat ever since. Shout out to that Nevermore ring Agggghhh I could die. Anyway I finally booked a consult and dragged my Husband to be down to Melbourne to their store. Turned up and the first thing I'm hit with are these out of this world window displays. You have to see them in person. Then greeted at the door by the most friendly person. I should apologise to them for making them open every case they have. I still haven't landed on a ring design yet but I'm definitely getting something here.

Sapphire Studios brought my wacky insane ideas to life. I had been wanted to create something a bit different for my engagement ring and was a bit disappointed when I starting looking at what was available In my local area. All the same with no personality. My sister was on holiday in Melbourne and happened to meet a friend of a friend and long story short recommend we get in touch with Sapphire Studios. Eight Weeks later after so many design changes from me, I landed with a custom design change to Saint Ivvy. I changed the skulls to flowers and went for an lab diamond for the centre stone. I received my ring last week and it is beautiful. I couldn't be happier! It fits my personality and sparkles the way it's meant to.

This company crafted a beautiful ring for my now fiancé, exactly to the specs I outlined in the order. I was very nervous ordering something custom , expensive, and unseen. I knew this was the only place to find a ring that fit her style and personality, something unique she would be proud to wear daily. The result was perfect and I’m happy I trusted Sapphire Studios to deliver.

My fiance ordered the ‘VII’ Men’s Gold Snake Skull Ring for me for our upcoming wedding. Really cool looking ring and I was very excited about it.

So why 1 star?

Well, if they update their site like they say they will I will change the rating. But right now, at least for this ring, I felt like I was lied to.

Because on their site, the first four pictures shown are apparently "renders". Aka, not the ring you will receive. Their explanation for this is that they use renders to show the ring in greater detail.

Perfectly fine. Except they do not mention these pictures are "renders" anywhere. So you purchase a ring expecting it to look one way, in my case a clean matte finish, and what you receive is completely different. Which for me meant super glossy which is not at all like what I believe any rational person would expect after looking at the pictures.

There is an actual picture of the ring on the page, but it is taken from further away and again... there is no description to let you know like Heyyyy all these other pictures aren't real, only this one is.

Without that crucial description it winds up feeling like a bait and switch scam.

They replied in email saying everyone does this (in regards to other companies using renders) but that too is a lie. Any competent business would clearly label their pictures to prevent confusion and being let down when the product arrives

I’m not asking for a refund or a discount. I just want them to do the right thing and make consumers aware of what product they are actually selling.

Edit: i have changed the star rating to 3 stars because they added to their site the following text:

"(Black rhodium and coloured accents are temporary finishes, see details below)
Images depicting variations are rendered examples for illustrative purposes only."

Unfortunately they still don't label any of the render pictures as renders or variations so I think it would still be incredibly easy to be mislead by how the rings are being presented. But, I do appreciate that at least some effort was made to clarify what is being received.

I got engaged on 10/31/24. The proposal was perfect, the ring absolutely incredible!!! My fiance got a custom 3 carat black diamond coffin cut with black gold band and the coffin ring box. It is so unique and beautiful! It is breathtaking. I am so in awe. He says the process was simple. Sapphire Studios designed, made, and shipped the ring just as they promised. They communicated with him every step of the way. He is go glad he found them and they did such a good job on something so important to us. I love my ring!
