Run away...The most unprofessional company.

This company and all of it's associated other companies are rip off merchants.

Interior Goods Direct are the parent company so beware they share the same customer service team across their multiple websites

Please AVOID spending your money and more importantly time and energy with this company. Delete from your search and find a more reputable company.

Long story short. Discount code wasn't applied at checkout (using Paypal), requested 2 minutes after completing checkout if they could kindly sort this out and refund this. 5 days later and another chasing email.... no we can't!!! They refused to restrospectively add a code even though I asked within 2 minutes, and it was a technical issue using Paypal.

I then said please cancel the order as I do not want it if this is how they are going to handle my order. 5 days later.....can't cancel. Bespoke made to order....

Then to add insult to this, the indicated 12-14 weeks lead time has msyteriously and unexplained moved to 22 weeks. Without explanation or communication. I have asked now twice why? Guess what... no answer.

Please go somewhere else.

I'm a Director of an online retailer and livid that companies like this get a way with murder treating people like this. Apalling.

Absolute nightmare

Absolute nightmare – unsafe and no accountability

I’m extremely disappointed with my experience with Shutters Direct.

I followed their measuring guide exactly as instructed and even double-checked everything before ordering. Despite doing everything correctly, the shutters supplied do not allow my windows to open. Their response? Blame my window handles and refuse to take responsibility.

They asked me to provide additional measurements after installation, which I did. Then they changed their stance and claimed my handles “aren’t straight” and therefore they can’t be responsible. Nowhere in their measuring guide does it mention anything about handle shape or limitations – I measured exactly to their specification.

I’ve been trying to resolve this for over a month. Responses are slow, inconsistent, and feel like they are just trying to avoid replacing the shutters. I’ve even asked for help and solutions, but instead I’ve been fobbed off with suggestions that don’t actually fix the issue.

The worst part is this: my home is now a fire hazard.
With these shutters installed, I cannot open my windows properly. In an emergency situation, this could be extremely dangerous as there is no quick exit. That alone should be taken seriously, yet they show no urgency or responsibility.

I’ve provided all evidence, followed their process, and acted in good faith. At this point, it’s clear they are not willing to put things right.

Avoid at all costs.

Decent quality, delivered on time

Decent quality, would have preferred if frame came assembled. Make sure you measure your windows and reveals thoroughly, mine had significant run-out that needed significant packing and trimming to hide.

We have used shutters direct many times…

We have used shutters direct many times in the past . We had some problems with recent experiences, however a special mention must go to Conor from the escalation team who went above and beyond to ensure any issues resolved, Conor attention, care and understanding was the reason we chose to order again and to recommend to family and friends

Poor Customer Service

We are happy with our shutters, but on both occasions, when the order arrived there were parts missing. We never got the screw covers missing off the first order, and so far we haven’t had a reply about the missing magnetic catches on the second order.

Zero Customer Service!

Three of the four shutters I ordered were fine, the fourth was totally wrong and it was clear that it should never have been delivered. A very long, frustrating and stressing story but what I feel I need to make clear to anyone thinking of ordering from this company is that if there is an issue, the customer service department are totally ineffective. Forget trying to contact them on the phone; you are placed in a loop that never actually gets connected. I even tried calling the sales team to get help! I waited over a year before I received a replacement shutter and this arrived only after I’d taken the trouble to write to the CEO - there was no advance notice, it was delivered out of the blue! The hinges were missing but at least it fitted!! I would definitely not recommend Shutters Direct.

Misleading delivery times stated on website

Placed an order in October 2023 for one shutter. One of the reasons I wanted to use this company, over the many others, is the estimated delivery within a month. Throughout the ordering process the website advised me "..expected delivery date November 2023." As soon as I pressed the buy button, and they had my money, it generates an invoice advising me estimated delivery May 2024, 7 months after I placed my order.

Looking at the other comments here, heaven help me if it arrives damaged. or with missing parts, and I need to return.

Should advise genuine delivery times on website and not mislead customers.

Excellent company

I have purchased many blinds from this company and I must say the products I received are 1st class, lots of spare parts and slats included in the pack. The only thing that lets this company down is the delivery times, it takes many weeks from when you place the order to actually receive the blinds. They do get back to you quickly with an issue you have which is good, I will use the company again only this time will prepare to wait many weeks for them to turn up. Overall a good company and very reasonably priced blinds.
