I just got in my Bobby Strings…

I just got in my Bobby Strings Animatronic and I like it, the only problem is it didn't come with instructions so I called Spirit and the told me where to get the instructions online. All of this could have been avoided if they just packed the box correctly but all in all its a pretty good animatronic.

I went in to Spirit Halloween in McHenry, Illinois

I went in to Spirit Halloween in McHenry, Illinois to look for the Terrifier animatronic and was helped by Diego. He was was incredibly knowledgeable about the animatronics and went above and beyond to help us find Terrifier! It was a wonderful experience. There was so much selection in merchandise and so many things we had not seen at other Spirit stores! The store was very orderly and clean, just an overall great experience! We definitely be back!

Costumes are expensive and bad quality

We bought a costume for my 4 year old. It was $40 and was a simple fairy type costume. She wore it that day for a few hours and the costume began to fall apart. After 1 day it no longer had wings and other pieces had fallen off. The next day we went to SAMS club and she found a wonder woman costume for $19. The quality was much better, it came with multiple pieces and you can just tell it's made better.

Bad customer service

Free shipping code did not work even though my purchase was above the minimum required spent. When i called to complain, they said they could bot honor it or issue the shipping refund. The email I sent to complain also didn’t go through. This site is a mess and customer service is appalling. This is my first and last time ordering from spirit halloween.

Wrong price tags on product

There are no Canadian prices on your products. Every item has tags in USD. It doesn't say USD on the tags.. take it to the counter and expect to add on the difference. Customer service isn't helpful at all. Rude snappy cashiers. Ship up or ship out.

Shady cheap return policy

Ordered an item online for 19.99 plus shipping. It arrived broken. I tried to return it in store. Nope won’t let me. So I tried to send it back for a return nope making me pay shipping again. So I’m taking a huge loss just to ship it back? Lazy company. And also tired of being pressured into rounding my change up in store. Knock that junk off.

Plus Sizes slim to none

You need to have ALL your clothing merchandise in Plus Size instead of just a select few. There were so many cute and pretty clothing but couldn't find any in a size that's needed.

I’m so absolutely disgusted

I’m so absolutely disgusted! I went into the store with my 2 young daughters to find their costumes. As we are searching for the kids costumes we pass a giant PENIS costume for everyone to see! Now my children have questions like what is that? And now I have to explain to them what they just saw. The store should not be allowed to have it out on the floor. Isn’t it illegal for men to expose their penis especially to young children why is this ok for a family friendly store to expose a penis on DISPLAY??? Unacceptable!

Really wish I was near a store because…

Really wish I was near a store because their stuff is pretty great but their shipping fees are through the roof and then they ship from the states not their Canadian stores so you’re hit with over $100 in duties at the border for not even $100 spent. No thanks.

Garbage company

Garbage company. They sent me not one, but TWO damaged products from their inventory. I have extensive photos and evidence that this left the warehouse in this condition. The outer brown shipping box had NO damage, but upon opening the box the TWO boxed dolls I had ordered were ripped apart, damaged beyond belief and to top it all off... you won't believe this... the person who packed the shipment tried to tape over the box tears and holes with stickers and tape!!! This company is a shame! You shouldn't even be in business. Terrible company that only cares about money and not delivering the product they say they will. Do not waste your money with this trash can.

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service!
Employees stereotype/judge you, they follow you around the store and watch you as if your going to steal. Very low stock on inventory. My family and I did not feel comfortable here and gave us bad vibes. Very low quality incompetent management with pissy poor attitudes. Stay away from this chain and primarily this location. You have been warned!

There are better options out there such as Party City, Lowe’s, Home Depot and Home Goods for your Halloween animatronics

Do not order anything online

Do not order anything online - have my money and I have no product. Ordered item online via Amazon from Spirit Halloween. Paid international shipping and customs at time of purchase in July. Item never arrived, Spirit Halloween tell me not their problem Amazon shipped it. Amazon tell me they can’t help have to wait till Sept then try apply for a refund ! Refund in Sept for something I bought in July ???? Spirit Halloween more like Con Halloween

Great Experience

Store always has tons of options for horror. Online has even more. A little high on pricing. If you can save up the cash it is well worth the trip.

Amazing store!

This store is perfect to get into the Halloween spirit. It has many costumes to choose from, to funny costumes, to scary costumes. I recommend shopping at spirit Halloween this fall.

I will never order from Spirit…

I will never order from Spirit Halloween ever again. I ordered a costume, it's too small, shipped it back to them via UPS, they have had it since July 16th, and still no refund. It's been 2 weeks, they say refunds are processed in about 7 business days. And trying to get ahold of them is hard and get someone to help. It took about 25 minutes, and he said it's going to take another 7-14 days to get the refund.
