I've lost all trust in this company.

Normally, I trust them a lot and don't hesitate to shop with them, but with my last order: Order #378874
The product wasn't delivered to me. Royal Mail lost the product. I know this isn't the company's fault, these kinds of problems can happen.

But the company is making it unnecessarily difficult for me to get a refund. Royal Mail personnel come and say they can't find the product.

I contact the company and tell them: I didn't receive the product, and the tracking code says "Returned to Sender." The company lost the product and can't deliver it. I ask them to refund my money and not leave me in this situation, and that I should buy the product from somewhere else. Or send me the same product with a different shipping option.

However, the company representative gave an unbelievable response: "There's a 30-day legal period, you have to wait. We need to know how the product got lost, whether it came to you, or what happened." But that's not my problem!

In short, I've lost all trust in this company. If your product is delivered, there's no problem, but if the delivery company loses it, then you're in trouble.

For some time, I have held Taunton Leisure in very high regard for its great pricing, fast shipping, and excellent purchasing experience. However, when it comes to returns, they certainly seem to be lacking. I purchased a Rab Kinetic Alpine 2.0 Jacket in Anthracite, size large. The jacket was a little too slim as it was an alpine fit. It was returned in the same condition as it was dispatched to me. The jacket had not been worn at any point, except to try it on once; all tags were undamaged and attached, and it was stored in the original see-through plastic bag. Once returned, I received an email from Taunton Leisure (please read below)

"Good afternoon,

This item (QWG-69-ANT-LRG) has been passed to us by the returns team as it is currently not in a resaleable condition, resulting in a slight delay to your refund. They have passed it on as there is a distinguishable odour which potentially could be some kind of fragrance or spray; until we have managed to clear this from the item, we could not sell it to another customer.
We will do our best to air the item to expedite your refund and will be in touch in due course.

This seemed very strange to me as a member of my family has severe allergic reactions to sprays and fragrance odours; such products are not used in our household. It certainly seems that Taunton Leisure is deliberately withholding the refund.

Needless to say, I have replied to Taunton Leisure and still await a full refund.

Please be mindful when returning products. It may not be as straightforward as you thought.

Great kit, nice knowledgeable team and quick enough delivery for my needs. Looking forward to trying out the new rucksack and rain trousers.

I accidentally sent a return parcel to Taunton Leisure , and even though it had nothing to do with them, they kindly reached out to let me know they had it. Robyn from Taunton Leisure was absolutely fantastic so helpful and friendly throughout.

I asked if they could send the parcel back to me, and they did so straight away the very next day. I even offered to cover the cost, but they wouldn’t accept anything and just said not to worry.

Honestly, such a kind and thoughtful experience. I was so impressed that I cancelled an order I’d placed elsewhere and bought my walking boots and waterproofs from them instead. Truly outstanding customer service!
