It turned up in 10 minutes. The taxi driver was foreign as they all are in this company but he was really nice and we chatted all the way to my destination and back

Dawn was the taxi driver
Had a female driver called dawn put that we were going st George's terrace then city centre said she don't read her notes and she couldn't take us to town due to the fixed price of £9.90 her card machine wasn't working so had to get cashback in the shop she took my rollator walking aid out of boot and put it on the pavement so hard I suffer with a few disabilities so standing up wasn't helpful.After today's experience we won't be using take me anymore as her attitude was really bad and unprofessional and she has now lost take me two good customers this needs to be looked at and I would appreciate an answer £9.90 from Duncombe Avenue Plymouth to st gorges terrace ford Plymouth seems a bit much to pay

Good evening. i apologies for the experience you have had today. we will look into this for you as all of our drivers are required to have a working card machine per council rules. £9.90 would have been an accurate price for the journey. i apologies for the attitude of the driver. as you know all of our drivers should work professionaly and be courteous. i will be talking with the driver to remind her of the rules and regulations. i once again apologise about this. - TAXIFIRST

I needed a receipt because I have to provided to the company where I work and the driver gave me a card of the company written with the amount that I paid like if it was the time that I took the cab. I don't know if that is the company's or the driver's policy but for my opinion is very unprofessional and now I don't know what I'm going to provide to my company.

Thank you for your feedback, you have a few choices when it comes to receipts, the driver can fill out a reciept card in the car which we have used for over 20 years with no issues, if you pay by card the driver can email a reciept in the car, you can email control@taxifirst.net and request an email reciept from us or lastly call 01752 22 22 22 and ask one of our operators to email you across one.
this is the same process as every other taxi firm you may choose to use.

Worst customer service and service…
Worst customer service and service ever!!! Let me tell you this company has took the absolute mick today! I booked a taxi 12 hours in advance then giving me a price of 14 pound max , my taxi then ended up arriving half an hour late and tried to say it’s going to cost more !!! Then iv got out and cancelled as i think thats an absolute joke and iv left my keys on the seat in the drivers car and now iv gotta go and pick them up from the base when my driver was 1 min from my house !! Never again !! Absolute clowns

Booked a taxi on the app and said 10 mins. Not crazy traffic and yet 35 mins later still no taxi and several car changes on the app. Not reliable at all if you are going for a specific time….

Thank you for your feedback, unfortunately due to self employment law if a driver refuses a job that can slow us down but taxi companies cannot do anything about this, but 99.9 % of the time we are happy to say we are always on time. But we apologise if we weren't on this occasion.
Hit and miss service
I pre-booked my taxi the night before using the automated service and received a text reminder an hour before the booking this morning. The taxi arrived over half an hour late, with no apology given for the lateness. I asked the driver to avoid a certain route as there were roadworks. Nevertheless he took that route and we ended up sitting in a long queue of traffic, at which point I had to say something. He did compensate me £2 for ignoring my instructions causing the fare to be higher, but I was still over 30 minutes late into work. A really frustrating experience that leaves me wondering what the point is of pre-booking when there’s no guarantee of what time the taxi will turn up.

Pre booked experience
I pre booked my taxi via the app and I was fully informed of my trip and even was sent a text an hour before to remind me and offer the chance to cancel if I needed. I liked the idea as well of holding the money for the trip as well easier for me and safer and easier for the driver. The driver was lovely I have never had a bad driver through this taxi firm so will continue to use when I need a taxi. Thank you
