Faultless and friendly service today (new years Eve afternoon) getting to and from a hospital appointment in Plymouth. Prebooked taxi arrived bang on time, and after a very, very long afternoon in the hospital I called for a pickup and a taxi appeared in under 4 minutes! Brilliant service, charming drivers and very reasonable fares.

Knowing the driver has the relevant experience to be a "TAXI-DRIVER.
NO UBER RUBBISH.

We booked 3 trips in one night for my little girls birthday meal. We booked for 1910 and the taxi arrived at 1945 with no apology or explanation. We booked hole for 2230. One taco arrived at 2235 and the other at 2252, again with no apology or explanation. Not good enough.

Booked a taxi 3 hrs in advance, 3hrs 30 mins later still no show, the app overcharges you and doesn't refund you like it says it does.

The automated phone service says its been improved, when actually its completely broken.

Pre booked a taxi on there app a day in advance as I had an appointment, when pickup time came a driver hadn't been assigned, after ringing them was told it would be at least a 15 min wait.

Also exactly the same experience on 7/12 when I didn’t submit a review. Kept informed by text time of despatch able to track taxi which is useful also knowing reg and make of taxi.

Taxi booked and confirmed for 6.20pm, now 7pm and no sign of it. Contacted the office at 6.35om who then said I’d would be another 45 minutes. Why take a booking you cannot fulfill. Very very poor and will now look for an alternative taxi service.
UPDATE.
Taxi company finally called me at 7.25pm and offered a free taxi. Nice touch and grateful for their apology.

On the face of it, it all works very well, you book a taxi, it turns up on time, takes you where you want to go and as you have pre payed its all done.
But...... when you get confirmation of the charge there is (always) an additional charge, this is normally around 5 - 10% of the Taxi charge. and the explanation is waiting times, tolls, extras....
I duly rang TaxiFirst and spoke with a representative who really couldn't explain what the charge was. We started with it was a waiting charge, but I explained that the driver did not wait, It then went to "well if the taxi stops at a red light then there is waiting there" I did try to explain that there was a meter in the taxi which was running up the bill but to no reply decent answer.
I can only assume that if you use the app and prepay they add a hidden charge of which most of us do not check.
I would say just be very aware.....

I was perfectly happy with the old system. Had an email last week recommending downloading the new app, so I did. It does not appear to have my destination correctly in the database, and I was unable to book a return journey. Both steps backwards on the old system which make the process more frustrating and time consuming.

The driver was very polite and ensured I got home safely

The worst driver and service l have ever had since using Taxifirst. Been a loyal customer but they have disappointed. I got a taxi and told the driver to wait one minute as my partner is coming and he is behind me. He drove off leaving my partner by the corner. I told him more than 5 times to stop but he ignored me and ask me personal questions like where are you from?? How old are you ? .

Ordered a cab from the parade on the Barbican Plymouth. I have been finding it very difficult to get cabs in this city that take dogs. We have 2 small chihuahuas. My mum and I were so delighted and pleased with the kind and thoughtful driver who brought us home to Salisbury road this evening. What a lovely, kind and helpful driver. Thank you 5 stars and a smiley face.
