Davinci si much better editor
TechSmith Camtasia is overly expensive to purchase (200 USD+VAT/1 Year) and is limited. DaVinci is much better for editing. Camtasia doesn't have the features of DaVinci. I do not recommend TechSmith!

Industry standard apps and support
I’ve been using TechSmith products, especially Camtasia, for almost 20 years, and they’ve always been my go-to tools. Their customer support is among the best I've seen. They're quick to respond, helpful, and easy to work with. Sure, there are times I wish a specific feature existed, but I’ve never had a support issue go unresolved. The apps do exactly what they’re designed to do, and they keep getting better every year.
Its a garbage Software
Its a garbage Software. I spent 14 hours straight editing a video, and when i tried to save it, some files went missing. BS!

I called to see about better price but someone was to call me or email not a thing back. My subscription is now expired. Sad they can’t help

Live Chat Feedback
I worked with Live Chat today and the technician was knowledgeable and fixed my issue right away. Her name was Jean Torres and she was fabulous!
AVOID! HORRIBLE! Overpriced rubbish.
AVOID! HORRIBLE! Overpriced rubbish that force you into a subscription and removed the ability to buy a license. AI Chatbots for support that dont help you and just keep apologizing and sending you the same answers without understanding what you want.
UPDATE: they say they don’t use chat bots… well they have horrible staff replying you. They don’t answer your questions and are no help. So disappointing

Even though TechSmith policies have changed, the staff were still able to help me.
Amazing software company that actually…
Amazing software company that actually takes user feedback into consideration when working on new software releases. They also provide amazing live training webinars and have lots of great user documentation on how to utilize various features across their software. However, there are several bugs across their software that make using them a less than ideal experience. Their support staff do not have adequate capability to provide 5/5 support. Sometimes I end up finding a solution on my own that the support staff couldn't figure out. It also takes a lot of back and forth for them to understand the issue, which is mildly annoying.
I like simple things that work every…
I like simple things that work every time, without loads of frills in the way.
Plus a support team that helps, and does so quickly.

I have used Camtasia for years
I've been a long-time user of Camtasia and like its features and reliability. Unfortunately, I'm disappointed that TechSmith has moved away from a one-time purchase model to a costly annual subscription. This change feels like corporate greed, and I will now be exploring alternative software options.

Snagit is great, but....
Snagit us a fantastic capture app. I've been using it for many years, but now that it's a subscription service, I'll not upgrade.

Snagit used to be such a great product
Snagit used to be such a great product, now it takes ages to load, is full of bugs, crashes constantly, then I keep getting "Server Busy" error messages with prompts that cannot be closed. When I contact support, instead of helping me, they keep asking more questions instead of supplying answers, like I am their support and not the other way around. Its frustrating, because I cannot use the software any longer and I used to love it. Techsmith completely trashed a great product.

Techsmith Camtasia - unethical billing practice
I purchased Techsmith Camtasia (and Snagit) a year ago. Today they simply deducted $360 and feel they may because somewhere in the smallprint I committed to a renewal subscription!
What happened to the warning in advance - ethical companies do that!

Privacy??? This software continuously transmits "anonymous" data
Technical and Privacy Concerns Regarding Snagit Data Transmission
Upon detecting an active internet connection, the Snagit application immediately and constantly attempts to log in and transmit data. The program fails to function properly unless I allow these network connections or completely disable my internet access.
I am greatly concerned about user privacy. I purchased this application and do not consent to it constantly sending personal data.
Specific Technical Findings:
I have identified that the software is constantly communicating with the following domains, which appear to be used for analytics and licensing:
my.nalpeiron.com
nsa.nalpeiron.com
Those domains appear in my logs even with the options to not send my activity data.
It is unacceptable for a software dedicated to screen recording to be continuously transmitting so-called "anonymous" data about my recorded activity.
