When will the litigation proceedings be over? There has to be someone to refund everyones money. I am totally and uttered disgusted by the acts of two people are living life on everyones money. They owe me over $2500. Which of course I won't ever see that money again and if litigation does proceed we all will only probably get $200 at the most. Just a damn same

Neither the pandemic nor bad reviews closed bamboo. They intentionally ripped everyone off and walked away with millions. Colin is sailing around the world and mark is writing self-help books. All while living off our money. They lied and pushed half-off trips if you paid in full. Knowing full well they could not honor these trips. Then they tried to blame the business closing on a few bad reviews. Complete frauds. Everyone lost out…except Colin and Mark who walked away unscathed. Although this happened post pandemic, it is still effectiving me since I have not been able to get any money back from the ongoing litigation.

I spent over $1000 to go to Bali. I didn’t hear from them in over 2 years, nor have gotten a refund of my money. This site is a SCAM! I am so devastated and angry. Is there anyway I can get my money back??

They stole everyone's money and lost millions investing in scammy crypto. They even fraudulently took money for CHUBB travel insurance when CHUBB had ceased working with them two years prior to them continuing to take funds. They ALSO continued to book trips and take money while knowing they were insolvent. GREED led them to declare bankruptcy.

This is so sad that the company had to close. Their elephant tour and work with the communities was seriously the best experience of my life in 2019 (this review site won't let me go back that far). I made friends. I helped animals. Covid impacted so many people and tourism businesses. And now the cost of living due to greedy corporations limits the extra funds people have to travel making a tour company like this unable to stay afloat. I wish people wouldn't be complaining about this situation. We R Bamboo did good things. I wish I could travel on one of their tours again. Maybe one day a new version of what they did will appear.

What we all need to do is file a class action lawsuit against Wearebamboo. I have no idea how to do this. The company is in New Zealand and I'm in the US. I paid for travel insurance and completed final payment. Where and who is this insurance company? All the infomation I put in an e-mail file has disappeared. My printer was not and is not working so I have no paper back-up. Does anyone have the name of the insurance company?????

I have paid $750 for a voucher to use on a tour but have just found out only today that Bamboo ceased operating on 31/10/22. I have not been contacted by the company at any stage. I want my money refunded.

I am another swindled customer, out only $995 so I will consider myself luckier than some. I have contacted by credit card company with no luck in a refund as some others have had success with. Very disappointing!

I was booked onto the Discover Vietnam tour and was advised last September that it wasn't going ahead due to travel restrictions. This is the very first time I am hearing that the company has folded. I am in shock that I as a fully paid customer haven't been advised the company has folded and my money should be returned as they can't fulfil their part of the contract.

I paid for a trip to Tahiti in May 2022 for a trip in 2023 and once it was confirmed, I booked my airfare. They actually sent an itinerary. I received an email that the trip was postponed and then I could never get a response to my emails. I decided NOT to let Bamboo keep my money and contacted my cc company and got all my money back. I am so thankful that I felt that things were suspicious and didn't wait and try to rebook another trip. At that time, they were still booking trips knowing that they were closing...what crooks! I feel so bad for all of you who lost money and I hope you try to go through your credit card company to get it back.

I travelled with Bamboo in 2018 and had an amazing trip to Thailand & Cambodia. I thought they were an ethical company. I booked 3 more trips for India and Uganda. When I was hearing less and less from the company, I started to get a bad feeling. Then the email in Oct that they were closing and no refunds! Angry would be a gross understatement! Crooks! How do they sleep at night? One of the founders had a lavish wedding in a castle in the summer and the other built a yacht and bought a big house! Crooks!

I also booked a trip for 2024. Anyone have insight if legally there is anything we can do? Class action lawsuit?

Shame about Bamboo closing, as we had 2 lovely and memorable tours with them. But not offering refunds and the way customers have been treated is not acceptable. I hope this information may help some customers. If you paid for any of your tour with a credit card you should be able to go to the card and they should refund you under card purchase protection schemes. I have had all my payments from 2020 postponed tours refunded in around 2 weeks.

I found out today that Bamboo have closed. This is after I have paid in full for a tour in 2024 for my 60th Birthday.
I like loads of others deserve refunds. We are all struggling financially but do the right thing and give us our money back!
