In 2019 I booked a trip with them which they cancelled at the last minute. They refused to refund so I put the money towards another trip but now they have just ceased trading, they didn’t even inform me, I heard from others about this, and after contacting them, they are now refusing to give me a refund.

This company ripped off thousands of people for millions of dollars then closed unexpectedly and refused to issue refunds if you were affected by this company please join Bamboo rip off a Facebook page for all of the people who have had more money stolen from this company

They have closed and kept my money with no refund Not just mine they have done this to thousands of people and are now just keeping all the monies millions of pounds lost

They closed and took my money and hundreds of others. They will not refund anyone.

I booked and paid £2000 for a trip to Costa Rica which Bamboo postponed 3 times. The latest date arranged was for Jan ‘23. I got an email 2 weeks ago asking for my flight numbers and this morning- Bang! An email from them saying they are closing down . NO REFUNDS.

I’m one of thousands of people who paid anywhere from $997 to $3500 for tours to different countries where we could volunteer in local communities and immerse ourselves in the culture.
Due to Covid, many tours, all tours, were cancelled with the opportunity to reschedule for another date in 2023 or 2024
No refunds were allowed, only change of dates.
Many tours were cancelled 5 or more times. The company continued to offer tours and special promotions. They let go staff, tour guides, yet continued to collect our money with interest.
As of October 31,2022, we are bamboo, mark Foster Murray and Colin Salisbury founders, announced they have closed down, not declared bankruptcy, but due to bad press, they are not able to continue. They have scammed thousands of members of likely well over a million US dollars with no hope of recouping their money.
This company is still offering tours. DO NOT fall for their crap and throw your hard earned money away.

PLease look at change.org for a petition against we are bamboo. I just dont know how we can all access lawyers or each other to take this further. They scammed me of about 8000 dollars. im happy to be contacted by anyone

The owners of this company have taken money for travel that they had no intention of honoring. People are out thousands. When contacted, they send out emails saying they are closed and don’t give out refunds. I have given them travel deposits and they refuse to return the money and cannot provide the service I paid for.

I had 2 trips booked one for October this year that was rescheduled by them to next year and another for 2024. All paid in full since 2021.
Company has closed… no response to emails and no refund. This has effected over 500 customers, some of those are travelling g in groups.
I have lost $3000 US.
I was even sold their insurance at $250 that I am informed by someone else does not exist.
ITS A SHAM

Three months ago they were offering deals for $995on tours in 2024. Two months ago they were telling me the tour I had booked for February 2023 was a go. I had originally booked the tour Pre-COVID. It was cancelled two years in a row. The second time it was cancelled the country was open for travel. I asked for a refund at that time. They told me no, to reschedule in 2023 & if it got cancelled again, the WOULD refund my money. So much for promises. It starting to feel like a Ponzi scheme that finally caught up with them.

I am appalled that this unscrupulous company think it's acceptable to just say 'sorry we're closed' and 'sorry no refunds'. My partner and I have paid them thousands for a holiday to Costa Rica, and Bamboo are refusing to give it back. I can see from these comments that many others have been ripped off too. What the hell have they done with all the money they took from us??

Well less than 1 star....lies lies lies...thats all they were good at. Everything was within their control but they chose to lie to their clients & rip them off. The management have made sure they have closed the company with millions of our dollars in their back pockets with no refunds. Before you even think of booking with another online travel company make sure neither of these directors are involved.

Company who gives back scammed good people. I'm out 12k. I'm so sad, loved this company... include me in class action please.

Booked and paid in March 2019 $ 1997USD. Trip to Nepal was cancelled due to covid and rescheduled twice. I got an email asking to buy insurance ( I declined) and asked for a refund in 2020. Was declined so deferred to 2022 then 2023. NOW they are closed ( not liquidated) and refusing all refunds. The owner Colin Is building a boat to sail around the world in 2023 and Mark is living it up with recent trips and building a palatial home in Thailand . Loads of people out of pocket. This is not integrity or ' giving back'. 0 star

We had booked a tour to Costa Rica for Oct 2020 but Bamboo cancelled 3 times in total! Last excuse was low numbers for 2022 now I know this was a lie!! We have also paid for a second tour which was supposed to include flights- we have lost £1000s Gutted feel sick to see so many people in the same position. Please need to know if there is a way to get our money back.

Same as everyone else on this string me, my husband and mother have lost over $20k to this company and have never went on a trip!!!
I have requested access to the FB page Bamboo RIP Off - I hope we can all get together and fight this!

Had an amazing holiday with bamboo in 2018 and rebooked again for 2023.
They postponed my trip and announced closure three days ago refusing all refunds.
There are at least 500 others in my situation and the directors of the company are now booking round the world sailing trips at our expense 😡

My friend and I are owed £2000 for deposits booked on a trip, and a voucher we could use for a future trip. To say I'm annoyed is an understatement!! They were ignoring my emails for a few weeks so I felt something was not right. BAMBOO ARE THEIVES! I won't accept this situation. Surely they should pay up? We are pusuing it.

I would give 0 stars if I could. My trip was rescheduled 3 times, they just confirmed on 10/3/22 that my Costa Rica trip on 4/2023 was a go! Then I get a notice on 10/30/22 that they are closing and no one will get refunds. My trip has been paid for now for 2 years and its not able to get refunds from CC or Paypal, so basically thousands of people who booked tours with them are out thousands of dollars.
