The guides, who worked hard to give you a great experience. Worked well with everyone’s needs and great support, when carrying out the experiences and work prodjects and you end making great friends. This was my third trip, some of the friends meet on first trip where on this, so it was like a reunion, well worth the five stars I have given.

Firstly, I wish to point out not everything went to plan. Its Vietnam and it rains a lot at the time of year we visited. But our guide Tuan was amazing, he worked so so hard to ensue we had the best experience we could have and to adapt the plans on the fly to ensure we didnt miss out on anything. He was caring, honest, knowledgeable and fun to be with. Expect to get your hands dirty, to see not just the touristy bits but also the true Vietnam. Plus you will get help a local family which is so rewarding and perhaps most important of all be prepared to make new life long friends.

We had booked a private room.. but there was only a bunk bed dorm with 6 beds for 8 people!! The solution was for us to be in another hotel away from the group. We left the tour.. best decision we ever made.

Our guide was Balinese, nice guy, but did not share his local knowledge to the group. We learnt so much more being independent travellers after we left Bamboo from the local taxi drivers.

Is Bamboo now turned into a scam, where your deposits cannot be refunded, and holidays are not available??

Seems like it to me- we just wrote off about half our money on the trip when we left it. Bali is relatively cheap when you get there - bamboo are thrifty on hotels and meals it turns out.

The Balanese are kind, honest people. Shame that the owners of Bamboo are not the same.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. These people are scamming ordinary hard working people out of their money. They took my deposit and wouldn’t pay it back despite me confirming with them that it was a refundable deposit. I had major issues with the Bali tour I went on with my husband and emailed them a full run down of all the tour. I got back a computer generated email. Saying they were looking into it. I have not heard anything from them since. They don’t care who they put in their Ponzi scheme as long as it keeps money in their pockets. Your new deposits pay for their existing few clients but sooner or later there will be too many people in the scheme with a huge backlog of people awaiting a tour. Don’t believe the recent good reviews they are from Mark and Chris friends. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Almost back home after the Vietnam trip. It was my 3rd Bamboo trip and it did not disappoint. Jane and Tuan were truly fantastic tour guides. They were relaxed, patient, professional, fun, organized, helpful and many other great things. The accommodations they booked were the best of the three trips i have been on. They organized a variety of activities for us to experience and Tuan even joined us on a trip on his day off! Whenever we messaged Tuan or Jane they always responded quickly. The volunteer project we participated in was very meaningful and involved work that the family had specifically requested. They worked very hard to make sure we had the best experiences possible. Of couse we spent more time with Tuan and i could gush on about how wonderful he was. Seriously, he went above and beyond.

My experience is just with booking this trip. I had quite a few problems with the booking but the amazing team sorted it quickly, efficiently and each time an email was exchanged left me in no doubt that I would be going on an exciting adventure. Thank you.

Tours and travels to me is synonymous with Bamboo. The level of customer service, quality of hotels, and knowledge about the destinations has always been the best for us. If you're looking to create a traveling experience that feels customized for the way you want to travel, then this is the place for you!

This company is a scam. They took close to 4k usd and cancelled a Thailand trip which I am currently taking on my own for no good reason. I am done, I will contact every authority, every credit card company and sue them in the United States. They owe me a refund for fraud. The trips they offer give nothing back to the communities they are a lie. It’s money going to their pockets. Do not travel with this company

Trustpilot reviews are real for the most part though I do question the fact that "We Are Bamboo" is actively responding to the positive reviews recently, but fails to acknowledge those that show any concerns or negativity. I believe these new positive Trustpilot reviews that have recently sprung up are from Colin and Mark getting people to make these post - thus the responses to them, but not to those they owe money to.

Colin and Mark owe lots of money (thousands of dollars) to HUNDREDS of people for continually canceling trips YET continues to take money for future travel from unsuspecting individuals.

The original dream was great, but when greed gets in the way, it makes people feel victimized.

People want their money back!

I was looking for a tour and really had no idea what I was doing. The Bamboo found me cheap flights and a matching high-quality tour off the get go.

Beware!! I once was their biggest fan but not anymore !! How on earth can there be such polar reviews on this company with over 100 unsatisfied travellers that started their own site. “Bamboo rip off” and a circulating petition. Their lack of communication or clear plan to get customers on their trips rather than cancel Soo many tours with conflicting reasons with no refunds. The owners have said we can’t refund and we have to keep selling or we may not survive and the negative comments on social media could also affect our business. it’s just morally wrong people need to be warned. My trip to Uganda was rescheduled 3 times and now on hold or cancelled. I’ve emailed them 3 times politely asking for a refund. I’m soo disappointed but at least I hadn’t bought my flights too.

If you are looking for an insanely easy way to fly international routes and explore some awesome sites, this tour company is the one for you!

It does a great job of warming up to new people and doesn't make any social faux pas. I am so happy to find the perfect travel mate who knows all the best features of various destinations and tours.

I paid to tour Bali 3 years ago, 2019. At the time, I was told if for any reason (they) cannot fulfill my tour by December, 2022 I would be refunded.
It's a lie !! Every time they cancel me, they suggest picking another tour. Each time I pick a tour, they cancel it. They canceled 6 times in 3 years. Once in the spring & again each fall.
First covid & now it's staffing issues.
December is approaching & now they said "your money doesn't expire"...They've already spent my money & it wasn't on my tour. They're kicking the can down the road & kept thousands of dollars. Their response to my emails are global auto-response letters. They never address my email personally.

I used this company for a last minute trip to India. When I got there, the place that helped me find my tour contact was wonderful, fast and courteous. They helped me enjoy one of the most beautiful places on Earth. Plus, all of the lodging and food were great.

Covid has hit every company hard-most companies-ESPECIALLY a travel company have been realistic in their refunding process-this place-not so much.

Our trips were canceled due to Covid-we understand that-we were rescheduled-moved our flights to November 2022…which has also now been canceled. They had given us the green light to change flight dates and now that they canceled again-we also will lose our flights if we don’t use them. So now we are going on our own.

The part that got us-is that they actually have a tour going (October 2022) to the same area that we were NEVER offered.

Furthermore-I had them book us hotel rooms outside of the tour dates and they won’t even refund that. That is the ultimate RIP-OFF!!!
